Cancelled the morning of the tour.

Company cancelled morning of at 10:30 am stating not enough people. Asked the day before if we could join that days tour but we had not arrived in Rome yet. They should have mentioned the day before that there was a possibility of cancellation. I have traveled all over land never had this happen through Viator before. No mention yet of tikin on refund.

The event was canceled 5 hours before it was scheduled to take place. This was too late to schedule something else.

There is a minimum number of people required or it will be canceled. It was a very disappointing to us.

We are very sorry like you and would have liked and will have the tours to take place. But unfortunately other customers may cancel their tour for any reason such as delay in entering the city or illness or missing their flight. And we cannot organize the tour for a minimum of 6 people or 8 people. When you book your tour, it is written on the tour booking page that operators are allowed to cancel the tour if the participant is not reached. Just as customers use their right to cancel and refund and easily cancel and get a refund. The tour operator also has a hundred percent right to cancel the tour even two hours before the tour.

The tour was cancelled by the company the day of and within hours of the event. I hope to get my full money back.

Better communication with meet up details and restrictions

I understand that every tour should meet 15 minutes before the start time. But I did a similar tour through VIATOR the Vatican. And we left at 9am which was the time to make it through the lines. I came to that tour 8:45 am. And the tour guide waited for everyone. The tour guide for the walking tour left at 6:45 pm I got there at 6:58 pm. My guide left early and I was trying to contact him or her. Next time if you say 15 min make it or be late. Have that for all the tours then.

There was a little more walking involved, but very much worth it. Very informative guide gave us a lot of history and stories all about Rome.. my favorite part of the trip was finding out about the aqua ducts under the city and knowing that you could drink the water straight from the fountains.

Tour guide could not have been better. I was traveling on my own. There were also 6 middle aged woman on the golf cart The tour guide was an absolute professional He was born in Rome. He was extremely enthusiastic about the subject. He seemed lto love history and Rome. I could tell that all his information was accurate. He spoke clearly and loved what he was doing, engaging everyone's atttenion on the cart. He seemed to want to make everyone comfortable and interested in the sights. In summary, this was a top notch tour given by a highly knowledgeable guide with a wonderful personality and an interest in the people he was speaking to. Viator would do very well if they could more peoiple like him for their tours Five stars

Extremely disappointed. Attempted to meet group at starting point and was unsuccessful in finding tour guide. Reached out to the “contact help” and never received a response back. Working on a refund!

Disappointing experience

This tour was extremely disappointing - no headsets so you couldn’t hear the guide as we walked, it only went for 2hrs rather than the advertised 3hrs, the finish location was not overlooking a sunset view of Rome but rather a restaurant square, no time provided at the Spanish Steps to actually walk up them. Our family has done many walking tours and this was the least memorable.

Francesca was an excellent guide and gave us a great tour. She was honest, unfiltered, and (unintentionally) funny about Roman history which was the highlight of what was otherwise a very long, hot day.

Gill is amazing. He will give things as light or heavy as a brush as you want; was very accommodating when other folk in the group wanted to grab a coffee (it WAS cold) and otherwise caused minor delays. He can mix the ancient with the modern history and everything in-between, with emphasis on post-renaissance art and culture. I think one thing I would say is you go by the Spanish steps but not to the steps. Not sure if that wa sbecause we were running behind but my wife was not deterred and ran to the steps so I would advise just making time for a stop there so people can get pictures. Other than that, it was great. Off-season meant the Trevi Fountain was not terribly busy and we got right by the fountain after waiting like 2 min. Gill was very sweet and took pictures of us and a video of us tossing the coins. Was a great way to recap and highlight a few standouts on our last night in Rome.

Seeing Rome at night was so beautiful. We had a great tour guide and he took us everywhere including the Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain. He made it fun by telling us a story of the history of the areas we visited.

It was a great way to kick off our Rome visit. This tour was a relaxed walk through a number of the piazzas in Rome with plenty of time to stop and take pictures. Being in the evening, the temperature was much better than during the day.

This tour did not meet our expectations. The guide was nice, but low energy. We did not have time to take any pictures on the Spanish Steps, though he did give us that opportunity at the Trevi Fountain. One very enjoyable part of the tour was a very quiet street where many famous artists had lived. This was serene and beautiful. Other than that, we would not recommend this tour.

The views were certainly gorgeous. It was just a bit difficult following the guide sometimes, but I think everyone was just a bit tired and something to be expected of an evening tour. Really glad to have an evening tour option, but perhaps we just needed to prepare for it more :)

No show of the guide, and no information

My friend and i was supposed to do this during our first night in Rome. We went to the meeting place 30 min before start, and waited. When it it was supposed to start there were no one there. I tried to contact the guide in the chat function, but no one answered. We waited 10 more minutes till after start, and then i had to call Viator customer service (they were amazing). They tried to contact the agency as well, and they did not manage either. At the end, Viator had to start a case an investigate. The next day i received an answer about my inquiry for Where the guide was, and they said they had cancelled the trip. I had not received any information about this. No messages or a cancellation notification

Very nice tour and my guide Carolina was awesome and so passionate about the history of everything we walked by. It was great hearing the stories and the view was amazing! Bring a jacket bc gets chilly at night.
