Caveat Emptor! I did not get to go on the tour that I booked!!! I booked this tour and I received a call the morning of the tour and was told that the tour was overbooked and therefore me and my family could not go on that specific tour (a 1.5 hour Underground tour of the Colosseum). This truly disappointed us, especially my son, who desperately wanted to go on the underground tour. Since there very limited options and no other Underground Tours of the Colosseum with this company (or any other company on short notice that day) I was offered the option of a full refund or to be moved instead to another tour which was a 3 hour tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum. We agreed, without any other viable options, to do that tour and was given a modest partial refund of 40 Euro (really it should have been half price due to the situation that we were put in and the inconvenience and loss of the experience we were expecting). The tour was too long for our interest in the Colosseum and the other areas and at times became redundant information to fill the time. Our tour guide was wonderful and was very knowledgeable, but again, this was not the tour we were expecting nor that we originally purchased. Not sure why we were allowed to purchase this tour on the tour company website and ultimately to find out the next day that it was "overbooked" and we could not go on the tour....So Caveat Emptor...Buyer beware!!

Please note that upon investigating your case we were informed that our staff indeed offered you the chance to have the underground tour the day after but you chose to have a tour during the same day. We are very sorry for your experience and can assure you that we did everything in our power to find a viable solution. The price you paid was for the tour you were later offered and the guide and the refund was simply the difference of price since you were no longer visiting the Dungeons. The overbooking was a system error and so we had to find a solution in this case, technology is an amazing tool and we are very grateful for it but at times it can have its unforeseen complications. We apologize profusely for the one you experience and when you return to Rome please let us know and we will arrange to have you receive a discount as we are very sorry to learn your children did not get to see the sight they were so eagerly awaiting! Dennis was an absolutely amazing tour guide who knew exactly where to take us all while also keeping things fun and interesting. He was great at storytelling and knew so much about the sites and could answer every question you asked him in such a way where all you wanted to do was learn even more. Overall one amazing tour guide and definitely a must visit tour in Rome!
