We had the early morning tour which first went to see Palatine Hill which we had all to ourselves. We stopped next at Roman Forum and last at the colosseum. It was crowded for Easter weekend but the whole time we waited in the security line our guide told us stories. I could listen to her all day and she was amazing!

Ad Maiora was a fabulous guide! The Saturday before Easter Sunday is a very crowded time and she expertly navigated the crowd so we did not feel like we were in a large crowd. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of The Colosseum was evident! We enjoyed our tour very much! She knows all the best spots for pictures too!

The tour guide was fabulous! He was so knowledgeable, very friendly, and I regret I forgot his name because he deserves a shout out. He was super accommodating and did a great job.

3 hrs packed with lots of information! Good group size, and ideal to be able to get through the security and wait lines quickly! Lots of walking which was no problem for our 10 year old. We brought apples/granola to snack on .
Tons of great pictures!

This tour is long and FILLED with information. Be prepared to soak it all in. If you are a fact seeking person, this is for you. If you are looking for a fast paced entertaining tour, pick a shorter tour. Our guide "Ken" was amazing and filled to the brim with facts, but it did start to get old by the 60 minute mark with another two hours of facts to go. You will find most tour guides are very informative and filled with facts. But you have to also be entertained at the level that you desire. This tour was a little dry for me. And I've been on this tour before with a more entertaining guide.

Covered most of the important monuments and the guide (Afrodite) was very polite and informative. Be prepared for a lot of walking and lots of people!

What a fantastic experience. We went through Roman Way. Our tour guide was Ken. He was absolutely fantastic. The tour lasted for nearly 3 hours. Ken was so knowledgeable and interesting. We all had headsets, so easy to listen. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the Forum and Colosseum. Ask for Ken. We will definitely use this company again.
Diana_T, Mar 2026
Easy to arrange, easy to find the group, informative. Ken was a fantastic guide, a wealth of historical information. He kept it interesting. I would highly recommend him and this tour. Money well spent.

Samuele from Roman Tours was the most knowledgeable guide and was able to answer everyone’s questions and modify information. Such a thorough tour, interesting and he actually spent longer with us because of all of our questions! Really impressive.

It was a fantastic tour. The best one in Italy so far. Adriano the guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a entertaining way, the 2,5 hours passed really fast. We had a logistic problem and Diana, from the office, went above and beyond to help us. Thanks a lot for making our visit to the colosseum a really memorable experience!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review!
We’re truly delighted to hear that it was the best tour you’ve had in Italy so far — that means a lot to us 😊
Adriano will be very happy to know that you enjoyed his knowledge and entertaining way of explaining everything. Making history engaging and memorable is exactly what we aim for!
We’re also glad we could assist you with the logistical issue and help make your experience smooth and enjoyable.
Thank you again for your kind words and for choosing us. We hope to welcome you back to Rome in the future!

Expect to be thrilled!
We visited the Collosseum with our 2 teenagers who were absolutely flabergasted by the site comprising almost 2800 years of history.

Our tour guide Antheia was an amazing guide, I am hoping I am spelling her name correctly. She was very helpful and knowledgeable with Rome history and easy to understand and follow. Thank you so much.

The passion Alessandra has is simply mind-blowing. No one else can do what she does — her energy, her knowledge, it’s unbeatable. If you love the history of Rome, you must experience a tour with Alessandra! But if you’re only into taking photos, you might want to skip it :)
It was an incredibly fun and meaningful tour — truly fruitful!

Amazing tour we went on. Our tour guide was so informative and was cracking jokes the whole time he made sure to interact with the whole group checking in on us. Answered all of our questions. My group really enjoyed this tour it’s something you have to do when you go to Rome.

Amazing tour! Our guide, Henry, had so much interesting information about Ancient Rome and the historical importance of the remains. As well as a great amount of energy to really involve the group and encourage us to take it all in for how truly spectacular it is. My family and I really enjoyed our time!! Grazie mille ☺️

Tour was well worth the price, our tour guide Andy was fantastic, so knowledgeable, friendly and kept our group to time ensuring we got the most out of the experience. He told us things that we could never have discovered doing our own visit and showed us sights which we wouldn’t have come across by ourselves. Highly recommend! Shout out to the tour organisers too who were also very good. I’d 100% suggest doing this tour. Getting into the colosseum was easier too via a group tour.
Emily_K, Oct 2025
Ken was a wonderful guide with a calming presence who provided an intriguing, humorous, and informative tour. He kept the group together through busy crowds and kept us in shaded areas for us to rest while he discussed details of the area and answered questions. If I were to go back to Roma, I would enjoy getting another tour from him!
Anita_B, Oct 2025

Fantastic experience especially the Colosseum. Sam was extremely knowledgeable and friendly, thank you
Brandon_C, Oct 2025
Amazing experience! Went way beyond and exceeded expectations. Andy was our tour guide and he was so well versed in the history and he was very entertaining and kept the whole group engaged and entertained. He even took photos of everyone in all the best spots. You could really sense his passion and love for Roman history and it made it made the tour that much better. He answered all of our questions in depth and tied everything together very well! He kept everyone together and informed and was sure to be very aware and inclusive of everyone's needs. 11/10 especially if your a history lover. Exemplary tour guide. Bravo.
Sarina_S, Sep 2025
I am a firm believer in the tour guide making or breaking your experience. Needless to say, she wasn't very good. I forget her name, something with "A" - Afroditis or something? It honestly sounded like she was reading a skit and kept repeating the same information over and over and over again! We get it, "the whole place was destroyed". Absolutely terrible!
Isabel_Y, Sep 2025
We had a really great morning out in the Roman forum, Palatino hills and Colosseum with our super knowledgeable and friendly guide Andi who explained at a good pace and gave time to answer any questions that we might have had. We learnt so much!
