We didn’t know until 2 days before that our actual entry tickets weren’t included and by then the colloseum was sold out. When we got there there was no one from Viator to help or guide us in any way to fix the situation and no response on any emails to them. Wouldn’t use this again ever.

Viator should NOT sell this audio tour. It's totally misleading until after you purchase and read the small print that TICKETS NOT INCLUDED. This messed up our whole day in Rome that we didn't have time to stand in line but went to the Coliseum and thought we could enter after Viator purchase, but instead we had an audio guide with complicated download instructions -meanwhile the Colisseum offers affordable and super easy audio guides in all languages. This was really bad, plus no response from Viator when I asked for help and then complained. I am fighting the charge with Amex.

We booked tickets for the colloseum but the staff from there didnt let us in. I took a phone to the viator company for help, but nobody answered. Then i wrote them 2 emails, and nobody answered this. I will neber book again with viator

Really good info - once I figured out how to access the audio. Also, be aware that the numbering system for the stops does not match the numbering system inside the Coliseum. The interactive map is pretty helpful to get you near the correct spot, although we often ended up on the incorrect level inside the Coliseum.

First I am going to say that I love Viator and have booked many tours in the past 5 years in different countries and cities. However, this one in particular was a disappointment as it was not an actual tour and didn't gave us access to the Colisseum in Rome. Instead, we needed to make a big line and purchase tickets the same day and spend more money as Viator didn't want to refund our money.

We arrived at the steps at 13.15, having the day before checked their location. There was no one there to greet us.
Apparently, we should have met on a different set of steps. The tour guide had called me but when I answered their call he/she said nothing. Yes, they had sent me a WhatsApp message but this hadn't arrived to me in time, and difficult to get notifications of messages within the noise of the Vatican area. So, we had no trip inside the Vatican.

I prefer real stories and facts about the colosseum and not a story about gladiators only. This does not cover the historical value of the building at all.

Worse than terrible. We were scrambling for tickets and saw "self-guided audio TOUR" for $10.00, so we scooped them up. We arrived the next day to discover that the "tour" we paid for did not include entrance to the tour location(which was not available for several days--after our trip was over). We, as tourists, have enough to contend with, being in a foreign country and dodging all the beggars and grifters in the public areas around these attractions. Now we have to deal with the same from a so-called "reputable" online company?
