This has already happened this year and can happen again during you Vatican tour. In case of such events our tour guide will provide you with a valuable alternative focusing the tour inside the Vatican museums.
- The tour is tailored for 6 + years old kids. Younger kids are welcome to join of course but keep in mind that they may be not fully engaged.
- PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Jubilee the Basilica is not be accessible as part of the tour. In any case, you can go there after the tour by yourselves, queuing.
- Each traveler must present a valid ID card or document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Vatican Museums

This was an excellent option for our family and made the Vatican enjoyable for our kids (and us adults.) Tommaso was a joy to spend time with and was so knowledgeable. He had treasure hunts for the kids in each room of the museum and had interesting stories to keep us all engaged. I would definitely recommend this for other families!

All of my family agree that this was the best tour we have taken, because our tour guide, Claudia, was the most amazing guide we ever had. She really made the Vatican come alive for us.
Claudia was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew how to interact with each member of the family to make this fun, exciting, and educational. She encouraged people to ask questions, and always had thoughtful answers. She also had a lot of interesting tidbits that made us feel like we were in on the secrets.
Best tour ever! I would recommend this to families every single time!

The tour was good however needed to be more at the kids level. The guide had a heavy accent which made it challenging for the children to understand her.

Our tour guide was amazing! He talked to us before the tour and explained what we should look for in the Sistine Chapel, he was so engaging with our kids and really gave us an in depth look and understanding of the Vatican!

Paola was extremely friendly and did an excellent job keeping our teenage grandchildren and us completely interested. It was their first time visiting Rome and the Vatican, they really enjoyed the experience and learned a lot. It was very meaningful for all of us.

The tour with Alessandra Bianchi was excellent. We went with my husband, mother and father in law, and 6 year old son. My kid has difficulty with focus sometimes and had a rough night sleep with jet lag so I wasn’t sure how it would go. He loved it! Alessandra was excellent and really kept our kid engaged and learning with games, a points-system for lessons learned, and lots of great knowledge about the Vatican. In the times when we asked her more adult questions about what we were seeing, she responded with great knowledge and detail. When she could tell we were starting to get tired out, she adjusted beautifully getting us through all of the highlights of the Vatican while still moving quickly through. A little souvenir at the end of the tour for our son was a very thoughtful touch. We highly recommend this tour for kids. Thank you Alessandra!

Maria was an excellent tour guide. She was extremely patient with all our questions about religion and history. My 12 year old daughter walked with her and asked questions the whole time. Maria was very patient. 3 hours went by so fast!

Valeria was our tour guide for the Vatican- she was really amazing! Her knowledge seemed endless and she did an incredible job engaging our 15 yo and 11 yo children. We all learned so much and I definitely feel the tour was well worth the money!

Sara was so knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a lot, specifically my son. Got to skip long line with only family and Sara guide us around, totally worth it during huge crowds in Vatican. The direction was a bit confusing, make sure call and ask for exact meeting point if first time there. Highly recommended

Great tour guide. Very good with the kids. Kept them interested and taught them about what they were seeing in a way they could relate to and easily understand. The activities the children were given were also appreciated and made the experience even better.
The only issue was the tour start location provided was incorrect. Causing us to walk in the opposite direction of the Vatican entrance with children up a hill in 37Celcius and then walk back (1.2km).

Donato truly brought this tour to life and the entire family enjoyed the experience and learned so much! He was engaging with our nine and seven year-olds, coming prepared with games, visual aids, and age-appropriate explanations for all of the history and art that we encountered. Donato is incredibly knowledgable, provided toughtful answers to questions, and was mindful of moving at an appropriate pace for the kids and my mother-in-law. This was our first guided tour in Rome and Donato set a very high standard. I cannot rate him highly enough and would recommend this tour without hesitation.

Great private tour with our guide Valeria. Easy meeting point to find and we skipped all lines on a very very hot day. Valeria focused on keeping it interesting and engaging for our two girls (15 and 11) in blistering heat. She also made sure to get us passed all the crowds inside and focus on the most interesting and important details throughout. There are so many hidden details you would never see without this kind of guide service. Highly recommended and worth the extra cost for such personal and professional service.

A huge Thank-you to Franchesco who meet us at the museum steps on time. We truely did skip the lines that were as long & deep as the eye could see. Franchesco was passionate & very knowledgeable. He made the whole experience fun & interesting for our three boys (aged 14, 13 & 11) as well for us. It was so busy but with Franchesco’s navigation we shuffled through & saw & understood the many remarkably amazing sculptures, paintings etc. A truely fantastic experience for all 5 of us - our children didn’t complain once despite the huge number of people we were surrounded with not to mention it was also 31c so very hot.

The guide was very knowledgeable but wasn't as kid friendly as I had hoped. The kids were bored after a short while. That said, I know it's hard when you're an art history major to be full of expression. But he did the job well, but more suited for adults only.

Francesco gave us an amazing tour of the Vatican museum, Sistine chapel, and St Peter’s Basilica. He engaged our children, aged 9 and 11, throughout, asking them questions and making them feel really involved. His enthusiasm was contagious and we all really enjoyed our time with him.

I booked this tour so that my eight year old would learn about the sites and stay engaged. It was well worth it. Francisco was an excellent guide. We were a little disappointed that the tour did not include going inside St. Peter's, but we could have gone in on our own afterward, if we had been willing to wait (the line was long).

Bruno notre guide a été très gentil, patient et pédagogue avec les enfants. La visite se fait sous forme de jeux avec des questions. Beaucoup d informations données qui sont bien adaptées aux enfants.
Nous avons énormément apprécié petits et grands cette visite.
Un tout petit bémol, la durée. Nos 3 enfants ( 11 ans, 11 ans et 5 ans) étaient fatigués au bout des 3h car beaucoup de marche et il fait chaud dans les musées. Mais ça personne n y pouvait rien. Une durée de 2h30 maximum conviendrait mieux. Je recommande vivement cette activité et notre guide Bruno qui parlait très bien français et était passionnant.
