Poor organization and disappointing experience
I was very disappointed with this tour. It started later than scheduled, which set a bad tone for the day. The headphones provided were of very poor quality, making it almost impossible to hear the guide’s commentary clearly. To make matters worse, the guide lacked patience and seemed disinterested in the audience, often moving ahead without checking if the group was following. For the price paid, I expected much better.

thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am sorry to hear the experience did not meet your expectations.
Regarding the audio devices: inside the Vatican Museums the radio system is provided and managed by the Museums and the quality we are experiencing is usually particularly good. However, if the headset/radio were not working properly, we encourage guests to always inform the guide immediately. In fact, replacement devices are always available so we can fix any technical issue during the tour, not after.
About the organization and timing: according to our records, the group departed as scheduled. Please note that security checks and the internal flow inside the Museums can sometimes cause small delays that are outside of our direct control, even with timed tickets.
Finally, we would like to add that we did not receive any other negative feedback for that specific tour/day, and not about that guide.
Still, we take every comment seriously and we will review the details internally. Your feedback helps us improve, and we appreciate you bringing these points to our attention.

The company that runs this tour was great to book with. Do to a scheduling snafu, we lost our oringal tour and so had to book another at the last minute. This company was able to get us in the next day and they were SUPER communicative and helpful. We got in ahead of the line, which was great. The tour goes through the busiest part of the museums. Then into the Sistine Chapel, and then into the square where one can enter into the Basilica. The guide was helpful to show us how to get back into the other museums, which we chose to do. So all that was great. Things that could have been better. Our guide spoke fast with a strong accent and was difficult to understand. The audio receivers we used were placed directly on one ear only (not headphones), and so it was very difficult to hear over the radio because the place was so noisy. I put my own earphone into my other ear to help block out the sound. It helped, but still wasn't great. As I said the guide was helpful and good, but hard to understand. Improving the headset situation would make it a much better experience.

The tour was supposed to start at 11, after getting to the meeting location, we were told that it’s booked through another tour company and that we have to go to a new location just to find out that their English tour doesn’t start until an hour later. It was especially difficult for us because of our young children. Our tour guide had a very thick Italian accent that was incredibly difficult to understand. All in all, I do not recommend this tour.

Firstly, we would like to clarify that we did inform you about the change in the meeting location. You quickly acknoledged this change via whatsapp. We understand that this might have caused some inconvenience, especially considering you were accompanied by young children. However, the new meeting point was 50 meters away from the office. It is unclear why you mentioned that we did not inform you about the new meeting point when we clearly did.
Additionally, we also provided information regarding the new starting time for the English tour, which was communicated to you before the tour date. We apologize if there was any miscommunication or confusion in this regard, but according to our records, the tour did start at the scheduled time.
We sincerely apologize for any difficulty you experienced in understanding the accent of our tour guide. We strive to provide guides who can effectively communicate with all our participants, and we will take your feedback into consideration for future improvements.
However, we find it perplexing that you mention things that are not true in your review. We have evidence to support our communication efforts and the changes you acknowledged.

The tour this afternoon was great, thank you! And the company’s organisation and customer service was also good. Thank you for providing a reliable and easy service.
Something catering for children (and within budget!), like an info booklet or a ‘look and find’ type activity sheet, would have enhanced ours kids’ experience. But the guide’s good humour and patience kept them going!

Renate was knowledgeable, warm, organized & handled the various group participants from age 6 to 70 plus with great care. She anticipated the group’s individual & collective needs.
