Maria was an amazing guide! She pointed out turtles and crabs, and told us where to avoid snakes! She was very patient with all experience levels, and very patient with my children (as well as the adults who were beginners!) It was a beautiful paddle through a very serene maritime forest, and we will be back again for a nighttime kayak tour!

Kitty Hawk Kayak Tours was organized and professional. Our tour started late due to the late arrival of a large group, but onboarding was well-organized and efficient. We couldn't hear much of the tour guide's talk as the group was large and spread out. Our kayak was different from most in that it barely had a keel and was lacking the linear grooves on the bottom of the hull that we saw on other kayaks. These differences seemed to contribute to our difficulty steering straight despite being experienced kayakers. Maybe this particular kayak needs to be retired! Overall, we had fun and enjoyed a leisurely paddle in the interior water way of Kitty Hawk.
Lovely evening kayak tour. Saw blue heron, osprey. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Our guide was knowledge and fun!

Very relaxing ride in a very calm canal. Lee, our guide was very nice and patient as I was looking for wild life to photograph. It turned to be short for me.

Thanks for letting us know. Tours typically involve about 15 minutes of instruction and about 1.5 hours on the water. I am sorry to hear it was a little short.
It was so peaceful to glide along the water! We enjoyed having the opportunity to observe the area and see a bunch of turtles!!
Great first kayak trip for our boys (7 & 9). Friendly and knowledgeable guide. We saw lots of turtles, birds, and a few snakes.
The kayak experience was well organised easy-going and lots of fun. Highly recommended. I would definitely do it again.

The kayak tour was very convenient to find from where we are staying and well organized. Our guide was great and we learned some new facts about the area during the tour. One downside- the river was very muddy and smelled like sulfur, but that was mother nature’s doing!
My trip was canceled due to weather and I still haven’t gotten my refund. A refund was promised and I am waiting…
Liam was our tour guide and he was great! Very personable and made it a point to remember everyone’s names. This tour was great for both experience kayakers and newbies. Getting in an out of the water with kayaks and a large group can be quite time consuming, however, the crew made it extremely fast and efficient! Would for sure go back next time we visit OBX!!!!
It was a very peaceful and scenic trip! Our guide did a great job! This is truly an experience for beginners who have never kayaked before.
We took this tour in July. The weather is very HOT. We picked the 6pm trip hoping it would be cooler. It was. Our guide Rylie was great. We are not beginners at kayaking. We had a nice leisurely paddle. Learned about the area. It was a nice trip.
Our trip included 4 generations 🤗 It was a fun experience for all from youngest to oldest!!! A good time we’ll all remember. Thanks

I loved the guide! He was helpful and professional. However, we saw no wildlife and nothing was mentioned on tge tour about the area and history. Not very interactive but peaceful float down the river.

The kayak tour was excellent. The guide, Riley, was very nice and knowledgeable. Saw some wildlife and was able to kayak peacefully.
Our guide was very informative, shared to a of information about the maritime forest, the habitat and what lives there. It was a peaceful trip and would recommend it.

Awesome experience! Tour guide was great and got to see some wildlife along the trip including an osprey.
Excellent guide Liam who spoke to each participant on the tour and shared a lot of local history and ecology facts.
Ben was an excellent guide. Very informative regarding the maritime forest history!! Also gave us some fantastic “local” advice on where to see fireworks on the 4th. Highly recommend!!!!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind and respectful. Did not try to micromanage us experienced kayakers, just let us know where to stop along at our pace. Would definitely recommend at least once.
I had never been in a Kayak previously. The guide gave instructions prior to
starting out; safety was a priority; we saw a large Egret up close and personal;
the guide was a wealth of knowledge about local wildlife and history. It was
a great tour and well worth the price.
