This was a fantastic experience! They covered historic buildings and the history and genetics of the wild horses! We saw tons and the guide knew all their names and family groups. I studied genetics so it was fascinating hearing about how these horses were intentionally bred. Amazing and unforgettable experience!
The only downside was the ride was very rough. We are able bodied but we had back and neck pain. My parents asked if they should go and I advised a different vehicle as I think it would have been too much.
But Al around great way to see that part of the island and learn the history!

It was lots of fun and tour guide was wonderful! The history of the wild horses and explanation of the current status of the area shared with us was very interesting.

It may take some time to find the horses. It gets very cold in November on the truck so dress warm….

Dress warm for offseason tours. Guide was exceptional. Not only did we find horses, we were briefed in local news and lore.

I have known for many many years about the Wild Horses but I had never taken the opportunity to see them up close and personal (as the saying goes). I trusted Viator excursions based on previous experiences with the company on other vacation trips. This was a wonderful excursion and our guide was knowledgeable and fun. Definitely you will need reservations. We had to drive at least an hour to get to the site so I selected the 11:30 departure. The venue was considerate enough to send an email warning about possible traffic issues and suggesting that we leave early. We arrived early enough to stop by the Currituck Lighthouse before our tour started (it is just down the road). What I did wrong was forgetting to bring gloves! If you are touring in late November make sure you bring gloves. Be aware that you are in an open air 4 wheel drive vehicle for two hours. Dress for the weather. The folks were considerate enough to provide lap blankets so we were not miserable just cold.

Wild horses were a sight to see. The guide was knowledgeable and made the trip interesting. We went on the coldest possible day yet had a great time

Not what expected but exceptional. Not a lot of horses. Go expecting to see something cool but keep an open mind.

Dress warm---chilly when driving down the beach. Tour provides blankets and we definitely needed them!
