Midday it’s very hot, the horses seek out shade. It was still very enjoyable and satisfying, I’d recommend it.

Lauren was an awesome tour guide. We saw so much more than just the horses we planned on. Her knowledge was endless.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It started to rain and he gave us ponchos, but that didnt stop the fun. He drove us out past the rain and found several herems with the new baby horses. Fun time bouncing on the dunes, seeing beautiful beach scenery and getting to know all about the wild horses and the landscape. Would recommend would also go again!

Just a great way to spend an afternoon! It was relaxing yet slightly adventurous, and the horses were just stunning. It’s also nice to learn the history of the area.

John was terrific. So knowledgeable and friendly and gave us ample time to take all of the photos we wanted to. Great time!

This was so much fun. The ride does tend to get bumpy but that makes it fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
Dawn_B, Aug 2026
It was awesome, saw about 40 horses in multiple locations. We took the earliest tour possible. The ride can be bumpy in certain places, but all in all a great experience.
Jacqueline_A, Aug 2026
Ask for Craig, he’s very knowledgeable and passionate about the horses. We also noticed that the other tour companies vehicles were getting stuck and had to be towed - amateurs! 🤣🤣

What a great ride. Went on the beach hoping to see a few wild horses. That was an understatement. We saw horses in the dunes, grazing in a field(even a few in carports). Anne took tbe time to explain about the hotses/ wildlife, and was a great guide. One thing you must remember is, this is not a smooth ride. You're in a natural environment, so be ready for bumps and bouncing.

This was the best trip ever! We saw horses we saw some beautiful scenery. The guide was wonderful in his information about the horses, and they care and the area and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

We loved the open air ride. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of room between passengers. The drive on the beach was fun. We saw a number of wild horses. The driver was very friendly and knowledgeable about the horses.
Cynthia_S, Aug 2026
Saw several horses on the tour. A bonus on this tour, we saw dolphin in the ocean and a leatherback turtle making its way back into the ocean after nesting on the beach.
Jason_B, Aug 2026
The experience was wonderful. The best part was Rick, the guide, and his knowledge of the area and of the horses! I would highly recommend this activity as a “must do” when in the area!
Katina_G, Aug 2026
The most exciting drive and tour. Our tour guide knew horses by name and family. He loved his community.
Elizabeth_S, Aug 2026
Great experience! Definitely bring bug spray. One truck took half the family and had no issues, and another truck took the other half and they were eaten alive at one of the spots. Grabbed a beer at the brewery afterwards which was so convenient.
Renee_R, Aug 2026
Amazing tour of the Outer Banks beach community. Saw wild horses in people’s yards, walking the roads, and in fields. Craig was our tour guide-lots of knowledge of the history of the area and the harems of wild horses, sharing their common names and which foals within the groups were recently born. Definitely recommend this company for your wild horse tour!
Dan_W, Aug 2026
Really well run tour. We saw 20 plus horses on our tour and our guide was very knowledgeable about the local area and wild life.
Daniel_H, Aug 2026
Make sure the weather is fine. It's a bumpy ride but absolutely gorgeous no matter what. Enjoy with your family or friends. The beaches are excellent,& the homes are unbelievable. And best of all of course the horses . Highly recommend the experience. Love it.
Londell_M, Aug 2026
The ride is very bumpy going through the sand dunes area. May not be good for people with bad backs or mobility issues. Not the fault of the vendor - just the reality of the location.
KAREN_P, Aug 2026
Guide was great, gave lots of good historical information. We saw horses and had a great morning. Would not be good for young children.
Jennifer_D, Aug 2026
It is a bumpy ride but totally fun and worth it! 🌊🐴We also learned how they help preserve the turtles.
Emily_P, Aug 2026
I would rater rent a 4x4 and spend the day on the beach after seeing the horses. We drove around, seen a family of horses, then he drove us on the beach to the "line" to change it up. You could tell the locals were not a fan of us!
Calvin_K, Aug 2026
It’s a great experience and lots of fun. I think one of the secrets of the tour is that you feel like you are riding a horse even though you’re in a truck. You will see what I mean when you take the tour.

CHRISTINA_R, Jul 2026
The wild horse tour was absolutely amazing. We saw so many horses and driving on the beach was a fun (bumpy!) experience. Paul, our tour guide, was the right balance of informative and hilarious. This is worth every penny while on the Outer Banks.
Courtney_A, Jul 2026
A beautiful ride to see the horses and the dunes! Highly recommend! Our guide was informative and passionate about the history of the horses.
elizabeth_c, Jul 2026
It was a decent experience, alittle boring after a while for the teens, younger kinds or adults might enjoy more
Regina_N, Jul 2026
We got to see a baby horse and the activity was fun and educational. It was nice to see Corolla and ride on the beach.
