Julia was a wonderful tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and captivating. It was a slow paced tour with lots of information and group involvement if you'd like to be involved. It was so fun touring at night and the group in November was small.

I have attended ghost tours in Savannah, so that was the bar for this tour. The tour guide was a good actor but we didn’t hear too many ghost stories. Just walked around watching her act, kind of like a one act walking comedy show. Guess Manteo doesn’t have too many ghosts.
It really isn’t fair to compare with Savannah, ghost capital of the US.

This tour was supposed to start at 7pm and we made the effort -- like everyone else who was there -- to get there on time. We waited about 25 min for one family of 3. Ridiculous! I can see waiting a max of 10 minutes . . .but close to 30? AND there was zero communication to all of the people waiting as to why we were waiting and approx how much longer it might be. As it was, we never went much further than 1000 ft from the starting point -- if the tour guide was communicating with the family she could have dropped a pin and they could have easily caught up. Just REALLY not cool. And, sadly, once we finally started it wasn't worth waiting for. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and one of the reasons we like ghost tours is due to how much is learned about the history of the area we're in. She was a good tour guide, but did include long antitodes that were 3rd person accounts that her family experienced. It was boring.

We have been on many ghost tours, some are just cookie cutter guides, Not this one. Stacey was not just going through the paces, she was the most interesting and entertaining guide we've ever had. Her stories were both historical and from her own experiences. She had us listening to every story and her own spin on things. 10 out of 10

Save your money for mini golf. Our guide was enthusiastic but it wasn’t what I was expecting, maybe it’s better for little kids rather than our tweens??

Waste of money the tour guide way too much talking not enough walking. Paid money to sit on a pier. First 40 mins in we only had sat at pier. We have been on others and got good history but this was just bad.

We’re sorry to hear your experience didn’t meet your expectations.The pier is a scenic and comfortable spot where we can pause to share a larger portion of the local ghost stories and history without having to talk over traffic or distractions. We aim to give our guests as much information as possible so they leave with a richer understanding of Manteo’s legends.

My husband and I had a great time! The guide was a great story teller and very knowledgeable about the area. It was nice how OBX provided a fan/bracelet at the start. The walking was fairly localized and many of the stops had a form of seating available.

No ghost tour. Simply walking around and hearing stories. Guide knew her stuff, but an EMF reader? For what? We didn't go in any buildings. One and done for me.

Really interesting tour with great stories and history. Our guide was Tamma who was very knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the time - would recommend this to any first timers to the area. Keep in mind most of the tour is at the docks so dress appropriately if it’s chilly.
