A bit rushed

The guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and the early pick up was good, but the tour felt rushed and slightly disorganised. A tour of a couple of sights in Honolulu was included at the end but we would have preferred more time at Pearl Harbour. It may be that there is just too much to see at Pearl Harbour to cram it all into one day but we would have liked far more time at the battleship and at the air museum. We had less than an hour at each.

David was an amazing driver and narrator. He gave us so much great information, and so much humor to go with it! Loved all our stops, it was a great day. Long, but we had many breaks. You must try the Dole whip! Sooo good!

Not what we hoped for

You are better off buying your own tickets and going on your own. We believed from the booking site information that we were going in a group of ten or less people, but ended up with about 20-24 in the end. Our guide was very sweet, but did not really 'guide' the experience, she suggested we get the audio tours, watch the movies and do the virtual reality tour. These are all great, but you did not need to be a part of this 'tour' to do them. My family broke away and ended up doing the day on our own, at our own pace which worked better for us. The other issue was that there were long lines and this group did not even get to bypass cues - something we have experienced with other small group bookings around the world. Be aware, the Arizona Memorial is shut down right now (until the end of January 2022) and there is/was not a discount or refund even though we paid to see it. This did not help our opinion. My family could not think of any benefits to doing this tour as a group. I suppose if you are not comfortable moving through crowds on your own, this could be useful. Unfortunately, this experience was not at all what we expected.

Das Arizona Memorial ist beeindruckend, faszinierend und doch ein Ort der beklemmt und emotional ist. Die Missouri ist beeindruckend in der Größe und das U-Boot sehr beengt. :-) Alles war super organisiert und hat uns richtig Spaß gemacht. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen. Die Reiseleiterin war spitze und hat alles super erklärt. Zwar auf Englisch, aber Sie hat sich bemüht es uns auch wenn wir es nicht ganz verstanden haben, zu erklären. Dieses Erlebnis können wir zu 100% empfehlen und darf bei einem Besuch auf Oahu nicht ausgelassen werden.
