Our tour host, Lyall, was amazing! We were lucky enough to receive a private tour and we learned so much about the history, development, and current activities in Central Park. Such a vibrant and resourceful usage of this natural land. Additionally, Lyall was kind enough to offer to snap many photos of my son and I, so we will never forget our morning in Central Park. Next time we are in New York City we will definitely look for Lyall to show us the good times found in the big apple.

This is a really interesting tour and Lyle was a great guide. He gave lots of background about the history of the park, including photos of how it used to look and pointed out landmarks. The park is huge so we were only able to cover half of it but it was well worth doing.

We were a group of 6, all over the age of 55--and had a great time on this walking tour, even though it was a misty and unseasonably cool April morning. Our tour guide, Lyall Croft was excellent: informative, interesting, funny and sensitive to how to best pace the tour for us. I highly recommend his tour--you won't regret it.

Lyle is a very knowledgeable and funny tour guide. We really enjoyed our walk around the park with him and learned a great deal. He’s a volunteer in the park and knows all the ins and outs of the area. I highly recommend including this tour during a trip to NYC.

Definitely worth the money to have a knowledgeable guide help you navigate through the park to see all the sight in a timely manner, you learn so much and he takes pictures of you at the sights, nice bonus. Lyle was a great guide. Highly recommend. You can’t beat the price.

Lyall is fantastic. Great tour with just the right amount of info. Family of 4 (2 boys aged 21 and 19) really enjoyed it. Nice facts about the park, and some interesting info on some of the movies that were filmed there. Great way to spend a couple of hours in Central Park. One of the highlights of our 4 days in New York. Thanks Lyall. Highly recommend this tour!

our guide Lyall was more than just considerate and engaging; he shared stories from the park's early history through recent times, pointed out interesting details we may not have otherwise noticed, and answered all of our questions. my wife and I were part of a small group of 9 that moved at a nice pace and we could all hear our guide as he spoke.
We saw the lower half of the park ending at Strawberry Fields with a view of the Dakota.

We arrived at the meeting point 30 minutes before the tour and waited up to 15 minutes after the expected hour and nobody arrived.

I am sorry that you do not attend the tour, but the truth is that you did not follow the instructions and was waiting somewhere else, not the meeting spot. Others who bought the same tour from the same vendor made the tour. I did attempt to contact you, but once the tour is going, I am unable to keep checking for an email from you. Wonderfully personalized and entertaining walking tour with Central Park Guide Lyall! He made the park and its history come alive with photos and music, stories and accents. He’s worked in the park and is very knowledgeable about the different plantings. He had suggestions about things to do and see after the tour. Really, I must see tour with a fantastic Guide!

Lyle was a wonderful tour guide! We have walked through the park many times but never took a guided tour. It was well worth it and we thoroughly enjoyed it. He paced the tour perfectly as we took pictures and enjoyed his fun facts on a lovely fall day. We definitely recommend!
