We got the New York experience, loud and fast, which was great because it was a perfect way to get immersed into their culture and understand life from their perspective. Our tour guide was AWESOME! She was super knowledgeable and provided us with a plethora of facts at each location. It’s clear to me that she cares a lot about her position as a tour guide and she was intent on giving us the best and most enlightening experience possible. My best friend and I learned so much about each location and the surrounding area, it was perfect! It was also a great way to create a game-plan for other places to explore post-tour! Highly recommend!

Not really a tour we just walked ourselves around and most people on the tour got lost so by the end of the tour there were only 4 people left in our group

Experience was great. Our guide was from the area and very knowledgeable. Wish we were able to do ground zero first then Ellis island and liberty islands it was a long day. Highly recommend eating before you go and bringing snacks. The food on both islands was not great. But the trip itself was well organized and the guide was easy to spot and did explain a great deal.

This was a very expensive way to be told what time to get back to the ferry to head to each site. Otherwise, there was nothing else this offered that was beneficial. The weather was unexpectedly bad and snowed so the ferries were running late which was no fault of the group; however, there should have been some sort of thought on how to make this enjoyable or offered a steep discount for the amount of waiting just to begin and shortened visits at each place. There was no historical information provided about the statue or Ellis island so if you’re looking to learn anything new, you won’t. We’ve taken many tours through Viator and this is the worst one so far.

Nina, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the history of everything we saw. I thought the amount of time spent at each location was adequate except for Ellis Island. It was a bit rushed. I’m guessing there may have been some kind of time adjustment needed to ensure that we had enough time to see everything that was included on the tour. It also helped that we had perfect weather. I would recommend this tour to anyone that wants to see a lot of famous sights in 5 hours. You must be able to walk quite a bit, and I suggest bringing snacks and beverages because there isn’t anytime to stop and eat. If you have Nina as your guide you will not be disappointed.

Individuals must be able to walk at a steady pace. 2 individuals in our group could not keep up. Therefore.
The excursion was ended before we got to the end. As we left on our own accord because of a time factor
This trip does not give you very much time at all at each location.It needs to be a longer excursion to give it more time to spend at each location

Quick visit to Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island - if you want to visit the immigration records etc then you will need more time on Ellis Island. The 9/11 memorial pools are stunning.

This was a nice way to go see some of the major sites and learn about them along the way. Traveling with a group (especially because I was in town alone for work) made me feel safer. Nina was our guide. She was friendly and informative. She did a good job of clearly communicating information and instructions. She helped us to get the most out of our time at each location.
I would highly recommend this tour for those visiting NY. This was my second time visiting and definitely the most informative.
Only con I thought was it would’ve been nice to have a bit more time specifically at the Statue of Liberty (or as Nina taught us, its original name, Liberty Enlightening The World) to do a bit more exploring and reading in the museum. All in all it was worth the money.

Great family experience- visiting the Statue of Liberty, Ellis island, Wall Street, Frances Tavern & the sacred Ground Zero/911 memorials. Vivian was our tour guide- she was knowledgeable, helped us find our family on Ellis island, she was a gem! We enjoyed our time with her!

Absolutely! We loved this tour. Learning the history, I thought I knew this history but clearly I did not. Walking the halls and going up the steps of these buildings definitely makes it really and heartbreaking. This tour brought a new perspective to me. Our guide was wonderful! My tour guide told me to meet somewhere on liberty Island. We were some English speaking and some French speaking. The English speaking people were told wrong information and did not get the full tour. So I did not get a chance to explore Ellis Island.. I asked for a refund and was denied. They said they could give me a future tour when I’m in New York, I live on west coast and don’t see me going back to New York anytime soon Stay away from this tour guide and Viator. So disappointed in their customer service.

Our tour guide was great! She helped navigate a large group of people around parts of the city (including some of us small town folk) with ease and true New York style. She gave a lot of interesting historical commentary and was friendly and helpful. The gentleman checking in the tour groups was friendly and welcoming as well. We enjoyed our tour immensely. Experience was great. We had Nina as our tour guide and she was great as well. After the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island she walked us to the 9/11 memorial and told us a little history of the city on the walk as well. 10/10 tour, if you can choose Nina as your guide, you should!

I have taken many tors with Viator and this was quite disappointing. I feel we were misinformed about the benefits of going with Viator, we waited an hour and 30 minutes to get on the ferry, rushed thru Statue of Liberty tour and then were offered only 20 minutes at Ellis Island. If we had just boarded the ferry at 10:15 when we got to Battery Park, it would have been same experience and less waiting around. By the time we got to Ellis Island, we were tired of standing so skipped the 9/11 tour that we paid for, Nina was very nice but we could barely hear her and she was flustered by the delays. I definitely do not recommend this tour.
