I had a good time on this tour. Very informative and got details that I did not know before , would definitely go again.
Great Historian guide. Our tour was just ok. The content of the tour was interesting but not necessarily on topic throughout the tour. We expected more information on murders and mystery and it was sprinkled in here and there but primarily it was the history of New Orleans. We have participated in several tours in New Orleans and this was our least favorite.
A little slow to start but definitely lots of fun and entertainment. We had a good time and will come back
Lots of fun. Lots of info. Take a water if it's hot. They had a poncho we could take in case of rain. Carlo was knowledgeable and fun!
Carlo was a fabulous storyteller and we enjoyed the deep connections he has to the city, the people, and the stories he is telling about the true crimes in the New Orleans French Quarter.
We had a very good time on this tour! We loved learning all the stories of famous murders in New Orleans. So surreal to actually see places where things happened and hear the gruesome details. Loved going to Jean Laffitte's Bar too and enjoyed drinks and music on the piano. Lovely night in the French Quarter.

Really wish it was different. I had such high hopes for it too. The fact that it was lacking in entertainment was very disappointing. The stories didn’t seem compatible with the area, a lot of them took place elsewhere and either began or ended in NOLA but it wasn’t the general history of the area. It was more opinionated than cold hard thrilling facts. I honestly enjoy a podcast more. What was promised was not all there, we didn’t enter or get that close to the locations that were listed and the highlight location of the tour, being the Lalaurie Mansion, the main reason I even booked this tour to begin with was completely overlooked. We never went nor got close to it and no stories came of it either. It was highly disappointing. The tour guide Mikko, seemed tired and disinterested in his work as guide, like he was it happy to do our tour & he drifted off and had long pauses when telling the stories almost like he was either trying to remember the details or filling in the blanks & the walks in between locations were in silence and we spent more time sitting in bars than anything. He even made it blatantly obvious and stated he would gladly take drinks as his tip & my group wasn’t into drinking but he went ahead and drank anyway. Honestly would like a refund of some kind. Don’t feel like I got what I paid for. This was the worst moment of our entire trip. Wish my tour guide had been Dane, I heard so many good things about him. Incredibly bummed out.
Came to New Orleans for a weekend trip and decided to take the crime tour. Our tour guide Dane was INCREDIBLE! He was so knowledgeable and funny and made our experience amazing. Would definitely recommend!!

We had a great time! Dane was probably the best tour guide that I have ever had. He was very informative and was able to keep us all engaged. He made sure to include everyone while he was talking. We learned so much more than if we had done a ghost tour. As we are true crime junkies this played into what we love! Would definitely recommend!
Eight of us signed up for the 4 PM tour. We stopped the tour 45 minutes in, since we were learning nothing interesting or legible. Not really tied with neighborhood or the city, this tour could have been a email. Some people were falling asleep standing up. Worst tour we’ve had, very disappointed.
Really enjoyed learning about the various crimes that occurred throughout history. And getting to see the artifacts and learn about the culture and happenings going on.
Dane was an excellent tour guide and added his acting skills to make his storytelling extra special. It was interesting to learn history of New Orleans and how it is incorporated into the crimes that took place.
Mikko seemed like a nice guy. Tour started ok, but when he started talking about cults & Donald Trump, that was it for us. I didn't pay $60.00 to listen to someone's political ranting.
Elaine was an excellent guide! She is a fantastic story teller and was very knowledgeable about the area and history of NOLA. We had a great time and would definitely do another tour with Elaine again.

The guide was very knowledgeable and super friendly. He was very interactive in the story telling and cited references for us to google for more information. When the tour was over he pointed us in the right direction back to our hotel. I would recommend this to everyone.

Mikko provided a quite informative and intimate tour considering my wife and I were the only ones that showed. We stopped at points of interest where he would layout the background significance of the location. Definitely would recommend if you’re a fan of true crime. If you have any questions about local attractions/dining options, he’s spot on with his recommendations.
Anderson was a terrific tour guide. A great balance of fun and seriousness, which is important given the tour’s subject matter (crime) and intention (entertainment). I learned a lot about specific events but also general New Orleans history, culture, and building construction.
Mikko was very entertaining with the stories, and shared a lot of information. It was an easy walk…. The meeting time is 15 minutes before the actual tour start… quite a few real crime stories where he even provided some of his own opinions to enhance the facts. Highly recommend.
Anderson was our guide and man he was a character! He knew all the stories, answered all of our questions and you could tell he loved this city and its history. If you want to hear about some real and gruesome murders, some that even happened not that long ago, I would recommend this tour!

There were four of us together, only ones in the group on February 10th, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. We could not go inside the office/gift shop because “they” were in a parade and our guide did not have a key. We walked and stood in several spots listening to true crimes yes, but didn’t get to go into any buildings to view as it indicated on the brochure. We were all bored and some of the stories were hard to follow or we could barely hear the guide. This tour is something we will highly not recommend, the cost of it was ridiculous for what we got. We usually always give great reviews, but this time we just couldn’t. So disappointing.

"I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your walking tour with us. I would like to address some of the issues that you have raised. Please note that our Murder Tour does not involve entering any private residences, and this was never mentioned in any of our advertising material, including our brochure. As the creator of the brochure, I can confirm this. Many of the locations on our tour are private homes, and we respect the privacy of the homeowners. I hope this clarifies any confusion, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."
Regarding the shop closure, I apologize for any inconvenience caused. We are one of the few tour companies that have a central location in the French Quarter to start our tours. While we do have a great little gift shop, it is operated by only one person - me. I work ten hours a day, seven days a week, with only one day off a month (the "Sacred Second Wednesday"). Occasionally, I do get a treat, like participating in the Tucks Parade, where I gave away tons of cheer to thousands of people. While I do understand that you were disappointed about the shop closure, I hope you can appreciate that I am only one person and sometimes need to take time off to recharge. However, if you let me know when you're in town next, I'll make sure the shop is open for you in case you want to come in.
