Hollis went above and beyond to accommodate us—when rain was in the forecast, he seamlessly adjusted our experience into a driving tour. He was an incredible guide: friendly, professional, and full of knowledge. The insights he shared came from personal experience, offering us a deeper understanding we wouldn’t have gotten anywhere else! If you’re having second thoughts about booking, stop second guessing & book it!!!!

I understand many such tours are run by small groups, if not individuals. However, I do wish there was some kind of upfront note about a group size minimum/the logistical considerations that would entail. Like, for instance, "liable to cancellation based on group size" or something.
I reserved two tickets for my friend and I, and her mother bought a third ticket after my initial purchase. However, my flight was suddenly cancelled the night before, so it would just be my friend and her mom (apparently. I found that out just by the interactions that ensued). I messaged Hollis to let him know, and he told me he'd have to cancel the tour because one person wasn't enough people (he thought there'd only be one person, my friend; he seemed unaware that a third person had bought a ticket). Again, I do understand the principle of this kind of thing, but I just wish some kind of forewarning had been given; there was no indication that such a cancellation might be made due to group size. Also, I was troubled that he didn't know about the third person; when I brought that up, he said it was too late, he'd already made other plans.
He did say my friend and I would receive a refund. However, my friend's mom had to argue for her refund. I'm not sure why he was unaware of an order made for his service, or why he treated her different from my friend and I.

I think there is a lot of confusion and misinformation in this review. You initially contacted me about canceling because you were unsure whether your flight would make it and whether your group would even be able to attend. At that point, I had already started making adjustments based on the cancellation you requested.
My business does not operate on “would have,” “could have,” or “should have.” This is a business, and reservations, cancellations, scheduling, and staffing all have real logistical consequences.
As for the additional ticket, once I had already rearranged my plans based on the information I was given, it was too late to simply undo those plans. I did agree to refund the applicable reservations, and I stand by that decision.
I honestly don’t understand the purpose of this review when the situation was communicated directly and a refund was provided. I’m not going to continue going back and forth publicly over a situation that has already been addressed. I wish you and your family the best, but I ask that you please respect that this is a business and that business decisions have to be made based on the information provided at the time.

Unfortunately, this tour didn’t quite serve up what we expected. It was more like a group discussion with strangers choosing between two restaurants given as options. Dessert? Surprise! It was unplanned and MIA when we arrived. Hollis did pivot and take us somewhere else, which was appreciated, but overall it felt more like a last-minute dinner party than a guided food tour. Fun people, but a bit disorganized and not quite as advertised.

The tour was so much more than food. It encompassed history, people, communities outside of the touristy areas. Our guide, Hollis provided insights on the real Big Easy. Hollis is kind, patient and knowledgeable. He definitely knows NO. Oh, and we got some awesome seafood on the tour and delicious desserts!

We showed up 20 mins early.. No show on the guide but called me 20 mins later to say he was waiting for us.. I have uber receipts to prove we got there and when we left.. waste of time!

Our records, along with time-stamped communication and location data, indicate that your party arrived significantly later than the scheduled time. The guide was on-site, ready and waiting for you at the agreed location. Additionally, the special arrangement you requested was never paid for or confirmed through proper booking channels.
We understand things happen, but it’s important to be honest and fair. We pride ourselves on being transparent, professional, and deeply rooted in the community we serve. Misrepresenting the facts doesn’t reflect the experience we work hard to deliver for every visitor.

Seafood bar crawl was lacking seafood. One stop at seafood warehouse. Tour guide was on a political rant about the gentrification of New Orleans French Quarter as a result of political injustice
I paid to listen to him vent rather than experience seafood in the area. Totally disappointed

While we aim to provide a great seafood experience, we believe it’s important to highlight the social context behind our culinary scene. Unfortunately did not get to go on this trip. We were not advised trip had been cancelled until we made contact as no-one appeared at meeting point. We were advised due to weather forecast it was cancelled (weather was fine where we were at the time). Interestingly we did a walking tour a few hours later! Got the impression we were only ones on trip and guide couldn’t be bothered turning up as our other walking trip went ahead no problem a few hours later. We would have expected to be informed of cancellation prior to us getting taxi to meeting point or at least before due start time of tour.

As we take weather conditions very seriously, especially here in New Orleans, we must prioritize our guests’ safety. We understand that communication could have been better, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Hollis was very friendly and knowledgeable. He went the extra mile to make sure that we were comfortable. We did not feel like strangers. We felt like we were family hanging out on a hot summer day. I would recommend this experience to everyone.
It’s more of a black historical talk of treme than a seafood tour. It says in the description “ill be taking you to the most popular seafood spots in the city capturing the true art and history of New Orleans. “ we only went to one seafood restaurant and drove around talking about history of treme and taking pictures by murals. I expected to visit different seafood restaurants and bars but that’s not the case.
The one bar we went to sold colored drinks that looked like chemical colored daiquiris.
We ended up at a restaurant fresh food assassin; their food was okay but their alcohol beverage was substandard and definitely not up to par.
In all I won’t recommend this as a seafood tour (because it wasn’t a seafood tour) but if you want to learn about New Orleans black community Treme then this is it. Even the jazz spot, it says we would spend 20mins there but we didn’t even go in but took pictures of the outside in the hot scorching sun.

This above statement is false advertisement because you go to only one spot not “spots”.
Experience I would give it 2/5. It was underwhelming. The guide should have a screen in the back seat to project whatever video or pictures he wishes to share with clients instead of asking them to go on Instagram or watch some video on his phone. He stated that the experience was a walking tour but no where in the description does it say that plus it’s impossible to walk from the pick up point through the really bad neighborhood he drove through. How do you drive through the projects and then inform us that New Orleans is the Murder capital of the USA….. how is that supposed to be a walking tour?
By definition of luxury, there is nothing luxurious about this experience. This wasn’t what I expected at all. I expected to visit different restaurants and bars and sample food not waste 50 mins listening to someone talk about oak tree and projects and his costume in the museum or his family. He came late then blamed me for not having my phone number on viators profile, I pulled my profile up and confirmed with him that my number was on there; then he switched and blamed viators for not having my number available to him so he could communicate that he was running late( this is after I called him 3 times). He parked at a different point from the address provided. He still didn’t apologize for being late. The “tour “ was supposed to start and end at the pick up location but he ended it at the one restaurant we went to. This should be called Treme black historical talk not a seafood tour at all.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable & such a people person. Ensuring everyone was having a good time. Good info on Treme, great night life and the food was delicious. Not so happy to see so much gentrification happening. I would highly recommend this crawl. Would do it again.

Desde colombia nos decidimos realizar nuestros tours en la estadía de New Orleans con VIATOR por el respaldo que veamos que tiene con TRIPADVISOR., tomamos este tour para febrero 23 a las 7PM, fuimos a un lugar donde ustedes tienen un punto de atención en la mañana para que nos dieran las indicaciones, llegamos a las 6:360 PM nos sentamos en restaurante diagonal a la dirección y faltando 5 minutos para la cita llegamos al lugar indicado, sorpresa NADIE llego por nosotros estuvimos hasta las 7:20PM, les escribí cuando llegue al hotel para que me devuelvan el dinero y nadie responde por este valor adjuntamos foto para demostrar que si estuvimos pero es como si fuera una empresa mentirosa.
Sigo solicitando la DEVOLUCIÓN de mi dinero.
Esta empresa le falta tener un mejor servicio yo he viajado con CIVITATIS y jamas me ha pasado algo como esto, el operador se comunica con uno al WHATSAPP y deja las informaciones, ustedes no dicen nada ni responde.

We do not mind you joining us at all but in the tour description it clearly states "ENGLISH ONLY."
