What To Expect
Depart from central Moab in the morning, following an orientation and safety briefing by expert river guides. A minivan takes you to the put-in point, located along the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River. Seemingly untouched by civilization, the landscape of stunning red rock canyons and massive rock spires feels wild and remote and is abundant with wildlife.
Once you’re equipped with a life jacket and other provided gear, settle into your guide-operated oar raft and prepare for a thrilling ride. Hang on while you bounce through splashy white water, including some Class II and III rapids, then relax in calmer stretches. If you choose to ride in an inflatable kayak, your guide offers a paddle lesson and time to practice following directional commands that are needed when paddling.
Take in classic western vistas between rapids, when you can snap photos and hop in the river to swim. Drift lazily between soaring canyon walls and marvel at the landscape along the river. Listen as your naturalist guide shares informative commentary about the ecology, wildlife, and human history of the region.
A buffet-style lunch is served during a break on a riverside beach. At the end of your full-day tour, your guide returns you to your starting point in central Moab.

What a wonderful day. In late September, the rapids are a class 1 and 2 which is PERFECT in 80 degree weather with 6 other new friends and Raven as our guide. It was so PLEASANT. We had a moments of rapids with getting wet, but mostly calm floating(like river tubing) and FANTASTIC scenery. Raven was the perfect host, expertly guiding the boat so it slowly circled down the river with no one side being the front all the time. He had great stories and information. I really just emphasize how pleasant it was. At this time of year, this is not the trip for adventure. The water was chilly, but after being in the sun for several hours, it felt great to plop in and and float along with the boat awhile. We were the only couple who did a full day float, and I highly recommend it because the first half and second half are so different. The website says there is a buffet lunch, but no....instead we had a basket of really good healthy chips, fruit, and brownies with a VERY GOOD Caesar Salad chicken wrap. It was plenty of food and seconds were offered. I loved today. After all the hard, red, rock climbing it was great to get on the water and just mellow and float. My only wish was that I brought along a few light beers......Raven was the best guide!

The tour guide Michelle was very informative and loves her job. Check in was very easy and fast. Easy to locate. Due to low water level (mother nature) we didn’t get to experience higher level rapids, but is was still beautiful ride and fun swimming in the eddy’s.

My family and I had a great time on the full-day rafting tour down the Colorado River! We went in mid March and the water was pretty calm with a few class 2 rapids! Our guides Will and Nate were very friendly and knowledgeable! They went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great time! Also, the provided lunch was chicken caesar wraps, and they were really good!

This was a fun trip. The rapids were not very challenging, which is what we wanted. They might be higher at other times of the year. Bring sunscreen and some kind of long sleeve shirt, as you will be very exposed to the sun throughout the trip we did the full day trip. If you do a half day, do the afternoon, as that was a more interesting segment of the river.

Looking for an easy ride down the Colorado River this is it! As they said, Level 1 rapids but Level 5 scenery. This did not disappoint! Our guide was great and made for an enjoyable day. Rapids were small, so great trip for most ages. They serve lunch and have water tight boxes onboard to store your bags.

If rafting is new to you, this is your best introduction. The people are diligent in safety, helping you relax and knowledgeable of the river and history in the area. We did the full day trip entry level for lack of a better term. Initially we were briefed on safety and exactly what the different aspects of the river would be. There were no surprises! The first half of our day was with Annie, a delightful young woman who provided commentary and her experiences on the river. She said this is her first year and it's obvious she has embraced being a guide and takes her responsibility to heart.
The second half of our day we were served chicken roll ups with a vinegarette made of cranberries, delicious! There was fresh fruit and assorted chips etc. After lunch, Jacob again focused on safety issues and off we went. He shared multiple stories, facts of navigating the river and much history. His ability, knowledge and personality all contributed to a day of enjoyment on the river. This was a class I-2 excursion and between Annie and Jacob it was simply a wonderful day.

Easy going day . Educational and fun . Lovely food . Spectacular scenery.
Our guide Clint was very knowledgeable helpful and friendly. He engaged with all parties including everyone on the raft in his banter .
This is not a wild exciting white water rapids day … as the organizers say , “class 5 views and class 1 rapids . Thank you Navtec. Claire Keenan

We had a wonderful, safe experience on our rafting trip in Moab, with our guide, Nate. He was experienced, personal and filled with lots of historic tidbits.

Bring water bottle
Water is cool but once in it’s fun
The guide was great
Just plan to enjoy the scenery
Robert_L, May 2025
If you want exciting fast-water action, this is not for you. The Rapids are mild, and most of the time, you are not moving very fast. Also, the half day trip would have been enough, and is better than the afternoon trip.

This white water rafting was a great experience with having Mike as our guide. He was full of a lot of knowledge which made it even more fun going down the Colorado river I would ask for him again when we return

Had a great time. Entertaining, good lunch, informative. Everything was taken care of by company. Great time of the year to go.

For a slow float day, this was a great trip. We had a great guide named Joe who was amazing with the kids. We wished for more rapids, but I could’ve looked at the description in advance learned that we were not going to have this on this trip. But it was a great family adventure day.
Tsuneyoshi_M, Jul 2024
We had a great time at Fisher Towers. Our guide (Paul) let us jump in more times—one time through a rapid. We stopped for lunch with a chicken Caesar wrap and any snacks they stacked, but the best one was the fresh-cut watermelon. We had two teens for the full day, which was perfect. There were other families with younger children for a half-day trip, and that was good for them.

I went with a friend on the whitewater rafting experience and it was a great time! Our river guides Jess and Nick were super friendly and knowledgeable. The cruise was scenic and overall a fun and memorable experience
Jamie_B, Jul 2024
Such a fun trip! Our river guide Joe was amazing and so knowledgeable about the rock formations around the area. It was a ton of fun for my family and I. We went swimming and even rowed the raft! We would highly recommend this trip.

This was a great trip with the family. Mick, our guide was very friendly and full of information. The views were beautiful and the rapids were pretty good! The water was super cold but definitely worth jumping in to say you swam in the Colorado River. I would recommend doing the full day or half in the morning. The rapids were better in the morning.

Our river guide was Lake. He brought a vast knowledge of the rivers and river safety to our tour. His demeanor put hesitant rafters at ease immediately by explaining exactly what we would expect in our day. He was engaging with jokes and conversation throughout. We didn’t know everyone in our boat and were comfortable traveling companions shortly into the trip. We stopped two times to enjoy a snack and a wrap for lunch. I would suggest that the tour operator change the website from stating there would be a buffet lunch to a light picnic.
barbara_c, Oct 2023
Our guide, Cole, was great. The trip was good but I wish we would have gone with the same people who we started with. The other people were half day trippers and we were the only all day trip.
Kim_N, Sep 2023
Bridger made the experience even better than expected Thank you! We had a very memorable day and we weee there for our 22nd wedding anniversary.
Micheal_L, Jul 2023
Very knowledgeable and very friendly tour guides. A few fun rapids. Relaxing cool waters on a hot day. Aiden was the best!
Ronnie_W, Jun 2023
Our guide was Bridger and driver was Aiden. They were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. My son rated it a 12 out of 10. We had an awesome time
Lindsey_C, Mar 2023
Austin was a great guide - knowledgeable and fun! Lunch stop was a nice way to break up the day. Saw some wildlife along the way. A great day for the whole family.
John_G, Aug 2022
The scenery was amazing and our guide Luke was really good and knowledgeable about the river and sites along the way.
Frank_R, Jul 2022
We took the full day guided raft trip. Carter our guide was excellent. He along with Ryan and Paul made the day very enjoyable. Carter had a great deal of first hand knowledge regarding the area associated with the trip. There were endless opportunities to swim in the Colorado River. The lunch was very good with enough for seconds if so desired. We would definitely recommend the full day as opposed to the half day simply because you have more time on the River and all the knowledge you get from the trip. In addition to us we met so many nice people not only in our raft but also the other two.
Joann_L, Jun 2022
Elijah was great. Knowledgeable and very fun. Other rafters were a hoot as well. The lunch was good. The river amazing. A great day.
Jeffrey_S, May 2022
The staff was top notch. We started with Halie aka River Barbie and ended with Cole for the afternoon. Both did excellent job. Both very knowledgeable about the river and kept us entertained. Lunch was beyond my expectations, a chicken wrap that you would get in a restaurant. Great flavor. We would recommend this trip as a must do while visiting Moab!!
Jeffrey_S, May 2022
Halley did the am part of our trip & did an excellent job! Cole did the pm part & he too did an excellent job! Both made our trip fun & interesting!!
Joseph_S, May 2022
Our guide, Katie, was fabulous; she was full of interesting stories, personable and interactive. She was totally in control of the raft with confident knowledge of the river and a strong back to the oars. Thanks for the fun day in Moab.
