It was scary fun!! Mostly fun!! We three had never driven or riden a UTV before. Our leader Danny was great with guidance and instruction. Felt safe. Stops for pics along the way. Amazing views. This is must do tour of Hell's Revenge.

I’ve been on at least 100 excursions and this was my favorite! Great tour guide, extraordinary vehicles, and amazing scenery! I would recommend to anyone who wants some adventure in the Moab area. Looks scary, but you’re I. Good hands!

Overview

Add a little adrenaline to your vacation schedule with this supervised UTV ride around Hell's Revenge. Located just outside Moab, this slickrock trail features dramatic terrain, with steep climbs and descents. Whilst you enjoy the thrills of the ride, there are plenty of opportunities to take in the La Sal Mountains, the Colorado River, and the cliffs of Echo Canyon. For those feeling a little less confident behind the wheel but still want to join in, there are passenger options too.

Itinerary

Meet your guide in the morning, afternoon or about two hours before sunset, and prepare to traverse the slickrock terrain of Hell's Revenge near central Moab on this off-roading 4x4 adventure.

After a safety briefing, slip behind the wheel (or join as a passenger) in your 4-seater Kawasaki Teryx 4, a UTV. Follow in a caravan to the Hell's Revenge Trail, located just 10 minutes from Moab. Aptly named, this roller-coaster route includes steep inclines such as Devil’s Backbone. You’ll traverse the ridge before you descend into Lake Michigan, named for the water that collects in a low point in the narrow canyon.

Stop near Lion’s Back to find fossilized dinosaur tracks before continuing on to Echo Canyon, which boasts panoramic views of towering sandstone cliffs above an oasis of cottonwood and willow trees.

Glimpse the La Sal Mountains and cast your gaze over Abyss Canyon; then, motor off-road to an overlook above the green ribbon of the Colorado River—a view enhanced by the sunset (if option selected)—before your tour ends back in Moab.

All drivers must be 21 years or older with a valid driver’s license.
This is a U-Drive experience, meaning guests will be driving their own vehicle.

Drivers must be comfortable with steep slopes, cliffs, and rugged terrain.
This tour is not recommended for guests who are easily frightened by heights.
Closed-toe shoes are required for safety; flip-flops and sandals are not permitted.
Each UTV seats up to 4 guests with a minimum of 2 guests per vehicle.
Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are strongly recommended during warmer months.
This tour is not wheelchair accessible.

One we will remember forever! From check in to goodbye…all well done and exceptional!! Brandon, our guide, was excellent. Hard not to have a few nerves when you see what you’re about to climb and decsend, but Brandon was safety minded while still making sure we had a memorable/adrenaline filled time!! The machines are top notch!! The views spectacular and a great way to see this unique area of Moab! Thanks, Brandon! And if you’re reading this..,your Thai Bella recommend was awesome!! Best lunch in Moab!!

Extremely exciting, bumpy roller-coaster ride

Fantastic experience, great service (our Uber was canceled and we arrived 2 minutes after the tour was supposed to start and we could participate, thank you all!). We therefore were last in line. The only thing that was not super fantastic was that the driver in front of us did not stick to the rules. The machines are incredibly powerful. Be prepared to go down very steep rocks and be confronted with rocks as steep in the opposite direction. There are several breaks to catch your breath and regain a normal heart rate again. And we had rain and mud which made it even better. A wonderfully thrilling tour. Totally worth it!

Oh my gosh, this was AMAZING! If you’re even remotely considering the Hell’s Revenge T-Rex 4x4 Tour, stop overthinking it and book it already. My husband and I had Dan as our guide, and honestly, I don’t think they could have picked a better person for the job. Dan was incredibly knowledgeable about the local wildlife, plants, and the area in general. More importantly, he somehow made us feel completely confident while driving over terrain that looked like it belonged on another planet. There were moments when I looked at the trail and thought, “There’s absolutely no way we’re driving up that.” A few seconds later, we were driving up it. Then down it. Then laughing about it. The views were breathtaking, the ride was thrilling, and the entire experience was an absolute blast. We never once worried because Dan clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Seriously, quit scrolling, quit debating, and book the tour. Future you will be glad you did!

Carter did a wonderful job leading us on this tour. He enthusiastically packed in a variety of challenges and scenarios. My 23 year old daughter did the driving because she's the thrill seeker. Carter put us right behind him so he could be sure she was okay, which I very much appreciated. I held on, and she had an absolute blast. My daughter still talks about this experience!
