Spend a full day kayaking one of Moab's most scenic stretches through Castle Valley! Paddle the Colorado River in an inflatable kayak (ducky), navigating Class I-II rapids and enjoying the stunning bluffs, sculptures, and spires. This full-day trip includes a deli-style lunch and provides a great workout as you explore both calm and splashy waters. No prior kayaking experience is needed, but swimming ability is required. A guide will be there to assist you as you spin, surf, and paddle downstream.

Cool off during the warmest part of the day on a relaxed Colorado River rafting adventure near Moab. Travel through the scenic “Moab Daily,” surrounded by red-rock cliffs, Professor Valley and the formations near Fisher Towers. This beginner-friendly trip generally includes mild Class I–II rapids, calm stretches of river and opportunities for swimming, water games and peaceful floating. Depending on river conditions and availability, guests may also have the chance to try inflatable kayaks or tubes. Way to Moab is a small, owner-operated company offering personal attention and a flexible, less-rushed experience. Your trip includes a professional guide, rafting equipment, personal flotation devices, transportation from our downtown shop, drinking water, snacks, cold beverages and water guns. It is an ideal afternoon activity after visiting Arches or Canyonlands in the morning.

This paddling trip offers a quick teaser of the scenic beauty and easy rapids of Castle Valley! Our half-day trips give you about 2 hours on the water to take in the incredible beauty of this sandstone paradise. Meet at the Mild to Wild office to check in and get ready for the river! Your guides will get you fitted for a PFD (aka life jacket) and then hop on the shuttle for a scenic 40 minute drive out to Castle Valley. Once there, we’ll have a safety orientation and some paddling instruction before you push off with the fleet for the next couple hours. Kayaking trips float with the rafting trips, and the guides will give you instruction as you paddle along. The kayaks move much faster than the rafts, so on occasion you may have to wait up for them. More time to take in the scenery, we say! This is a very mild rafting trip, with mostly calm flat water with a couple rapid sections sprinkled in along the way.
