very relaxed experience! rental staff was friendly and the equipment was easy to use. water isn’t too deep which feels safe. the only thing (not the fault of PADL) are the really rocky waters as you swim out to the beach so i don’t recommend trying to paddle out there if you’re not a strong paddler. i am not so i turned around and stayed in the calmer areas. there’s a map you can look at if you ask the staff. good bathroom and snack + drink amenities. we saw a manatee right at the entrance near the dock as our time was almost up. also saw lots of lizards, herons, egrets, schools of fish, and pufferfish. the staff also told us a tip for manatee sightings which would be to wait for about 5 minutes quietly for a manatee to pop up for aid.
