Very interesting commentary. Learned about the Miami area from the 1800’s through to the 1950’s when many Cubans fled to what is now Little Havana. Very interesting visiting a cigar shop, the oldest store on Calle 8, domino park, the Bay of Pigs monument plus lots of spray painted murals. Nice 2 hour walk before boarding our cruise ship.

Didn’t get to have our tour.

Unfortunately, did not get to have my tour. Spent $70 on Ubers between Little Havana and South Beach where we were staying, but once we got to Little Havana, the tour guide had not been informed of our booking so we didn’t get to have to tour at all. He was nice enough to send us recommendations but this was a major screw up on Viatour’s part.

Great tour to get to know the area

Very nice and intimate tour. It was just us and the guide who.was very knowledge and well known in the area. Got a good snack, a coffee and visited some of the local stores.

Very interesting and enjoyable tour.

Faruk was a great guide. He was knowledgeable about the history of the neighbourhood, and introduced us to some interesting places and local people. We learned a lot, and enjoyed exploring Little Havanna with him. He had lots of stories and information about the area more widely, and the morning was very relaxed. We highly recommend his tour.

Tour was disappointing

Amanda_M, Mar 2024
The neighborhood of Little Havana was really interesting to see. I liked the street art, we also learned about the guayabera shirt and had a guava pastry. However, I was disappointed in our tour guide. The trip we took was called the history buffs’ walking tour, but our tour guide did not share much history with us. He was very familiar with the neighborhood and the stores and people who worked there. The tour group was just our family, so he should have asked us what we were interested in at the outset. I wanted to learn more about the Cuban heritage of the neighborhood and how it changed over the years.

Pleasantly surprised

Faruk was an excellent guide. We particularly enjoyed the history of Cuba and its history with the US. The pastries and Cuban coffee were a nice treat,

Educational and culturally relevant

Great experience with a fantastic guide. The highlight of our Miami trip and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Little Havana.

Fun and informative tour

Monica_C, Sep 2023
I did this tour with my elderly parents who were visiting from out of town. Farouk was our guide and he was extremely personable, accommodating, and very knowledgeable about Cuban history despite not being a local. This is my third different tour of Little Havana and I learned new things from Farouk. Loved the choice of shops we visited - cigar factory, art gallery, guayabera store and bakery. Would definitely recommend!

Highly Recommended!

We absolutely loved this tour. Our Guide, Farouk, was friendly, knowledgeable and interesting. We really enjoyed learning some of the history of the area and the people in it. Met several local members of the community whilst doing the tour and the local “cuisine sample” was a highlight too. Highly recommended!

Lovely experience

Faruck took us on a local adventure walk to see and experience the Cuban neighborhood. We met some locals, bought some Cuban cigars and saw the production process first hand. We tried some Cuban coffee on the way. I loved the cafecito!

Highly recommend

Little Havana is a gem in Miami and Danny made it so special by showing us around the neighborhood and told us a lot about the history and culture of the Cuban community. We also met some interesting locals making cigars and an artist. Highly recommend for an introductory tour of the area.

We loved it

Small tour of Little Havana in a group of 3. We had the chance to talk to our guide who explained many details of Miami and, in particular, this area of the city. Very interesting
