Nice experience - especially at night! Sean, our tour guide was very friendly and informative as he talked about the city and the buildings we passed by. He even caught a small crab and let us pet it! They provided drinks as we waited for the rest of the group to arrive. Overall, our time was well spent. 10/10 - definitely recommend if you're in Miami.

You are likely will get a little bit wet. The location to meet is at the river, not on a main road near buildings.

Be prepared to start much later than the start time. We showed up before the start time then wait for 30 min. We called and they said they were on the way. That was a lie. We recommend that you should be prepared to wait if they show up at all

Great experience! I booked this activity the same day, without plans, I happened to be in the area with my kids (teenagers). Best thing we could’ve done. It was awesome. The staff were very friendly, they answered all our questions. The view was amazing! I definitely recommend it!

Loved thiis experience! Seeing Miami from another perspective.
Marko was funny and very knowledgeable

The tour had some pretty views, however the photos are a bit misleading. The kayaks were regular not clear, water was filthy, stunk, and all the boat traffic made it pretty choppy. Still a cool experience though I guess .

This experience felt extremely misleading and honestly frustrating.
Right at the beginning of the tour, the guide himself mentioned that he couldn’t believe the photos and information on the platform are still the old ones, even though the listing is managed by the company itself. Hearing that right away was giving us red flags. If the company manages its own listing and knows the information and photos are outdated, why are they still advertising something that no longer exists?
The listing shows vibrant, transparent kayaks glowing with LEDs where you can see the water light up beneath you. That is simply not the case anymore. The kayaks are now regular hard plastic kayaks that are not see through at all. Because of that, the LED lights make almost no sense. The whole point of the experience advertised online is that glowing effect through the transparent kayak, which you absolutely do not get.
The description also suggests drinks during the experience. In reality, the “drinks” were basically a bottle of water, Gatorade, or a small juice pack. For something that costs well over $90 per person, that feels almost insulting.
On top of that, the route itself was disappointing. Instead of a scenic, clean water experience like the pictures suggest, you are paddling through the dirty Miami River. The water looked murky and parts of the route actually smelled unpleasant. It is the complete opposite of the beautiful experience the listing tries to sell.
The guide himself was friendly and did what he could, so this is not about him personally. The problem is the completely misleading advertising.
For the price charged, this experience does not come close to what is marketed online. The company seriously needs to update the listing because what is being sold and what you actually get are two very different things.
Oh and if you try to get some version of a refund it gets denied.

We went to the address provided and when we didn’t see anyone, called to find out they’d changed locations. We walked to the new address, which is a parking lot under the overpass. We met another couple waiting for the tour but the guides didn’t show up until 8:30pm when the tour was supposed to start. By the time they unloaded the kayaks and gear, added the lights, and got everyone oriented, we didn’t get on the water until 9:20pm. The experience improved with kayaking on the River, and we saw iguanas and great blue herons. The River sadly has a lot of trash in it. We wrapped up and were off the water around 10:30pm.

Overall, a unique experience kayaking at night in the Miami River. Be aware that the instructions on Viator were not updated and an old meeting location (122 NW N River Drivee, look for blue sign that says "Kiki Champagne Fisheries") was posted instead of the new meeting spot at Parking Lot 17 under the I95, which caused me and my partner to have to walk around Miami at night trying to find the meeting location after the instructor was unable to direct us on how to walk to the new meeting place. The tour started off on a bad note with the instructor being condescending about how we should have known how to walk towards the new meeting spot. However, after the rough start, the actual kayaking made the experience better. You enjoy nice views of downtown and get some history. We went on a Tuesday night, so there weren't many yachts passing us causing a wake, only about a hand full of yachts. However, I could imagine that the weekend is likely much busier with a lot more wakes, causing you to get pretty wet.

Once we arrived to the tour, the guides struggled to find working LED lights for each kayak. In the end they weren’t able to provide working LED lights for all of the kayaks and still insisted on not giving a refund.
Michael_S, Mar 2026
We had an excellent tour guide who was fun and accommodating but the experience itself fell short of our expectations. This was slightly more physical than expected due to waves from the yachts passing through.
Donna_A, Mar 2026
Fun easy kayak in the river which was somewhat sheltered with fairly calm waters except from the wake of boats going by. Would be fine for beginners. I think it would also be fun with a group of people going together. The lights of the city were pretty to see from that vantage point. Marco our guide was friendly and informative. The location was easy to find with gps but did have to drive by twice to find the correct parking lot where we met. The lot number was in the ticket which I missed the first time. There was plenty of parking available with hourly fee.

Fun experience! A bit chaotic at first but once we got the hang of it, it was fun. The instructor was very helpful and stayed by us the whole time we were having trouble. There were big boats driving by which made waves come and felt like we was going to flip over, that was a bit scary but once you get the hang of it you’ll be fine. You will get soaking wet so don’t wear pants like we did lol. Also, keep in mind they changed locations so make sure you go to the right one because they’re both on there! We were late because we went to the old location. Definitely would try again

This was a great experience. Our guide was very careful when giving us instruction. And knowledgeable during the tour. We saw a manatee and a crane. The city at night from the river was beautiful.
Jennifer_G, Feb 2026
So this isn’t the first kayak excursion we’ve ever been on…and I will say, this one was way more exhausting. You row a long way without stopping…then stop to see the city lights, turn around, row a long way again, turn and go back to where you started. If you’re not right by the leader who’s giving instructions, you don’t hear anything. It’s not glass bottom kayak’s as the pictures show. The pics need to be updated. The lights are LED lights they string across the kayak while you’re waiting for everyone to arrive. You will get wet from the waist down so be prepared. It’s not a terrible excursion, we just had higher expectations since we’ve been on similar excursions before in other cities.

Fantastic experience!! Wear flip flops or go barefoot as your feet snd butt WILL get wet. Wet from the water that gets in the kayak, not much but enough to get your shirts wet. Marcoand Liam are awesome and made it more fun

I took the Kayak tour with my daughter and her 11 year old son who was not completely enthused at the idea when we started but soon he really had a great time. Downtown is lit up and you paddle under the draw bridges and the timing is perfect for the opening of the bridges every 30 minutes, getting the chance to see large boats and barges passing through once the bridges lift up. There’s an occasional wake from a passing boat but for the most time, the river is calm. The surroundings are visually interesting and the lights cast beautiful colors onto the reflection in the river. I really fun outing!

We went in the LED Night kayak tour, and it was awesome. Our guides, Dylan and Marco were excellent, knowledgeable, funny, friendly, safe, approachable, helpful, and just made a great overall vibe, even with all the boats on Valentines Night and the choppy river, we had such a blast. Highly recommend.
Karla_L, Feb 2026
This was different and unique experience. A must do when in Miami. Our guide was the best and even sang us an anniversary song, making it extraordinary special for our experience.
Morgan_L, Jan 2026
The equipment was old and in bad shape. 2 of the 4 kayaks in our group started sinking instantly. The instructor blamed it on weight then tried to make us just switch! After already we got soaked from the waist down. They then refused to give me a refund. Horrible customer service.
Lan_C, Jan 2026
It’s nice and interesting experience. Lovely lights and colours created quite impressive artwork. It’s a good family visit. Highly recommended
Trace_M, Jan 2026
It was a fun different colorful way to see the city… on a Saturday night with all the big boats going through was a little nervous - but after you realized how the wake would impact the kayak- it made it fun and different. I think it could be dramatically improved if the tour was organized or structured differently -there was no information or history or any background as to what we were seeing. It’s a working river and there’s a lot of history - it was a wasted opportunity to showcase miami, the river or the group activity. Tye tour ended an hour early than anticipated - not a bad situation but for the price paid, it was a noticeable reduction in time.

Genuinely a good time even when traveling by yourself. The tour guide as knowledgeable as well. Just make sure you are wear pants or shorts you are ok with getting wet. Also it was a workout, so if you think you can avoid the gym and do this you are wrong. You just decided to work on arms that day.

Adventurous evening outing with a nice group and a great guide - Marco! Extremely unique view of the Downtown and Brickell skylines along with a bit of after dinner exercise! Beautiful with all of the Christmas lighting. Note; however, these are kayaks, so dress appropriate for kayaking and bring a dry set of shorts for the drive home :-)
Tara_C, Dec 2025
Absolutely fantastic experience rowing down the river with brilliant guide Marco! Incredible singing voice. Loved the lit up lights and views of the city along the way! Highly recommend!🤩👍🏼☘️

Please read details before booking. We nonlong use clear kayaks for safety reasons. This is an l.e.d. Night kayaking experience. Clear kayaks are unsafe we do not use clear kayaks. It is clearly started in our description.
Chloe_P, Oct 2025
Marco is the best! He gives everyone a good lesson to get comfortable paddling in the water and gives the best recs on taking pictures! He is informed about the areas you’re riding in, with the history of Miami and the wildlife - my group even saw some manatees!! He’s an amazing tour guide and the experience is unlike anything else you’ll do in Miami. It’s all fun exciting but this had its own flair. If it’s your birthday you may even get the best happy birthday sung to you ever (Marco is a singer!!)
James_H, Oct 2025
