Sooooo much fun!!! We made other things besides the Spanish omelet and all were delicious! Our instructor was Bennie and he was fantastic! We cooked in a beautiful kitchen and then went downstairs to enjoy our meal in an old (over 100 yrs) restored basement. The experience was so much more than we expected. Absolutely loved it!

Came for the cooking, stayed for Beni’s jokes! He was an amazing instructor, super friendly, knowledgeable, and made the class so much fun from start to finish. My family and I learned so much, the food was delicious, and the whole experience was so well organized. I’d do it all over again. Definitely a 10/10 experience and I would highly recommend it!

Benny was awesome! He showed us how to make a Spanish omelet and it was delicious. He also made sure that our glasses of cava were always full and that everyone was having fun! He was also very accommodating and careful with one member of our family who has a nut allergy, which we greatly appreciated!

Excellent & fun!
Well thought out & prepared making the actual cooking easy but not used up chopping veggies.

Fun time with our teens, would recommend if you have time in Madrid! Benji was fun and made the class very approachable for all.

The brunch class was highly interactive and super fun. Benito greeted us immediately with a drink and continued the hospitality throughout the class. The food we made was simple, repeatable and delicious.

The operators of the class were so wonderful. I was actually the only person registered for my class so they reached out to see if I wanted to continue alone or if my schedule allowed for a change. Luckily I could be flexible so I ended up in Paella Passion later that afternoon. I’m so glad that worked out that way .this class is definitely meant to be a community activity. I was a solo traveler and I got to meet and spend a couple of hours with some wonderful people. Not to mention, the instruction, setting, tools, technique and food was OUTSTANDING! I can’t recommend this enough. If you have a couple of extra hours in your travel, please consider doing one of their classes.

This looks like a great cookery course and we still consider booking it next time we are in Madrid. However, when we turned up, we found out it was not taking place as they had booked a private event. The staff were lovely and it was obvious from their reactions that it was a genuine mistake. We had no other free time in our trip to go back so we got a full refund. They did not question the refund although I did have to apply for it through Viator myself, but maybe that's how the process works. We were very disappointed. We understand human errors occur but the vendor is responsible for the calendar of courses they sell through Viator and must also surely receive reminders from Viator of the bookings they have. How else do they plan what ingredients to buy? I would book again but I would contact them beforehand to ensure that there will be no repeat.

Hello Gillian!
Thank you so much for your honest feedback and for understanding that this was an unfortunate scheduling error. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment it caused during your trip, especially since you weren’t able to join one of our cooking experiences while in Madrid.
We take full responsibility for the mix-up and have since improved our synchronization process with Viators API to ensure that private events and public classes don’t overlap on the calendar again.
I’m glad to hear that our team on-site handled the situation kindly and that your refund was processed smoothly.
We’d love the chance to welcome you properly next time you’re in Madrid and we’ll be more than happy to confirm your booking personally so you can join us for a fun and delicious experience.
Thank you again for your understanding and we hope to see you in the near future!

Not your usual cooking class.. only a couple dishes made but very good and enjoyable. Staff were excellent.

It was a lot of fun and the food we prepared was amazing. Our hostess was great and an excellent instructor. My only complaint was that we were the only group there and it would have been nice to have other guests to interact with. We recognize most tourists want to make paella however the Tortilla Class was the bomb!!

Jaime was the best! He greeted us at the door and offered us something to drink right away. He explained every part of the process and gave us some nice tips. Our glasses were never empty! He was very knowledgeable in cooking and in Spanish history! If we come back to Madrid, I will definitely do this again!

This class was a great experience. The employees were professional and fun to work with. It wasn’t a lot of prep work but we did the actual cooking. The champagne was a nice addition.

This is a really fun, high energy, cooking class. We really liked it because it was about two hours and so we had the rest of the day to see more of Madrid. The team was patient with us and showed us new techniques for cooking Spanish food. With a little bit of history and trivia thrown in.

It was great learning how to cook a classic Spanish omelette while the drinks were flowing! Highly recommend anyone who likes to cook or eat great course

All of my experiences at the cooking school were great if I ever get back to Madrid I will look for them specifically. The setup is very professional induction cooktops high quality utensils and a welcoming staff. It is the perfect set up for a great experience. The bottomless wine offering is as expected. I was a bit friendlier after the class :). The instruction is very hands on possibly because the class size was small during my visit. After the dishes were complete we journeyed downstairs to the dining room which is well decorated with exposed brick walls throughout. It is a very cozy environment to enjoy the meals you prepared. Oh and there is more wine :)!

We absolutely loved this experience! We wanted something unique to do that helped capture the Spanish culture and I think this was perfect! All of the food was so delicious and the instructors were both fun and informative. We left super full, after cooking and enjoying our tortillas, and other Spanish foods. There was also Cava which was delicious. We are still thinking about the churros we ate :) We would definitely recommend this to everyone!

Vasco was incredibly knowledgeable about the many ingredients and focused on technique throughout the class. I would rate this more than 5 stars if I could! This was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip, and The Cooking Club Madrid honors your spot in class even if you’re the only who signed up for that time slot. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, it is one worth repeating!

Location was easy to find--right at the exit of the San Martin metro station, entrance at the store front. Staff was friendly and welcoming, and our main teacher charming and knowledgeable. It was a small class so we could chat and get to know the other participants a bit. Ingredients were all prepped in advance so it was super simple for us to follow along while socializing. We were from all over and an interesting crowd. I enjoyed the food, the cava, the cooking instructions, and spending time getting to know fellow participants a bit. I recommend doing this event at this location

Great hands on experience in a unique, contemporary space with remnants of old. Instructor shared his passion for the cuisine and philosophy of enjoying life.

This was one of the best cooking classes I have ever attended. The 4 of us decided to do this class during the week while visiting Madrid to learn how to make Tortilla de Patatas as a birthday event! The clubhouse is an amazing building, clean, well organized and overall well made recipe. The instructions were so easy to follow and made us all feel like we could really cook this up at home. I would highly recommend this place and would love to do another class by this team again.

This was SO much fun. The chef was fantastic. We had a great time! Terrific accommodation for the vegetarian in our group - made it smooth and didn't t treat it like it was a hassle. They were very organized. Loved this.

I had a great experience despite being the only person who signed up for the class, the instructor was very friendly and knowledgeable and i enjoyed the class thoroughly. Will definitely return on my next trip to Madrid

Thank you Vasco! What a great experience. Highly recommend for any couple or group. Venue is beautiful and historic!

We had an absolutely great day with Eric learning to make the Spanish tortilla. He was informative, passionate and fun. I have been taking cooking classes around Europe for the past year and this was by far the most beautifully done one yet. I’d love to return with my husband, but had a fantastic time with my children. Highly recommend!
Mackenzie_M, May 2024
This cooking class was one of me and my friends’ favorite experiences in Madrid. We did the spanish tortilla class during the afternoon with Eric, who was an amazing instructor and was very helpful. He provided such a fun environment and all the drinks we could have dreamed of. The food was amazing and the vibes were immaculate. I highly recommend!!
Edward_S, May 2024
Just so much fun and delicious, too. Began with Cava; then the staff guided us as we prepared our own lunch.
