Fantastic experience. The team is very fun, engaging and instructional. You will experience unlimited wine and cava, a fun atmosphere with great music, and a very engaging cooking lesson. Following the cooking you enter a basement / cave to eat and learn about the building which is a really neat experience. Highly recommend!

My son and I attended this class and I can only describe our experience as fun, fun, fun! The hosts were amazing! Fun, professional, kept us on track while continuously plying us with wine! We met the most amazing new friends there- cooking was fun, music was fun, having an immediate sense of community, eating these amazing dishes meal we had all made (which was amazing- enough food for a small army!) and just enjoying the experience start to finish. When we left my son, who is studying abroad, described it as one of the most fun experiences of his life! And I, as his mom, got to share it with him! Great for families, couples, friends - I would recommend it as a must do in Madrid!

Exceptional cooking and wine!

Bryan_M, Jun 2026
Fantastic experience! The cooking experience was so good, our chef (Benny) did a fab job and it was interactive and really got you hands on to make a paella. The venue is brilliant, with a modern cooking space and areas to eat and drink. Benny kept our glasses charged for the whole event and we had an awesome time. It was o good in fact, the people with us all continued on afterwards for drinks and tapas! One of the best activities we did in Madrid.

Awesome experience with great chefs!

Jennifer_W, Jun 2026
The overall class was wonderful! I went by myself because my husband was working and everyone was so nice and friendly. I did not feel alone at all. Our chefs were very knowledgable, funny and I feel like I learned a lot. We made 7 different paella dishes, each station making a different variation. Everything was very well organized and they weren't kidding about the bottomless wine! : ) Our cooking stations were super nice too, with all of the necessary cooking supplies. All of the paella dishes we created turned out amazing! I was truly impressed. The room where we ate in afterwards was gorgeous! The appetizers and dessert they also provided were delicious too. It was truly a wonderful experience!

Claudia and Nico were absolutely fantastic!! Claudia was entertaining, hospitable, and knowledgeable about all the paella types we were cooking. It is truly a social environment and that’s what makes it so special. Get to know your neighbours and enjoy. Thank you Claudia and Nico for such a wonderful experience!

A must in Spain!

The class was awesome, the chefs were really nice and informative. The wine tasting was delicious. The Paella came out great and they were even sensitive to my girlfriend gluten allergen. It was really a wonderful experience.

An Amazing Experience

Lawrence_R, May 2026
The paella class was such a fun experience! Not only did we learn how to make paella in a fun and hands on way, we were able to try all different types. It was a magnificent way to learn about food and culture of madrid. It is so easy to see that the cooking club is passionate about what they do and the food they serve. 11/10, would do again

It is a communal experience and collaboration of food and wine, With really great vibes. Javi’s brought the art of cooking and living it to us. Valentina kept the wine full!

The cooking was well organized at each station. The chefs were personable, helpful and did a good job at instructions. It was fun to gather around the big table at the end and share our 4 different paella.

My husband and I had a great time at the Paella cooking class. We would highly recommend this class!

Wonderful time and great meal

Jennifer_C, May 2026
We lucked out with a small class of 6 people including ourselves. Benji and Nico were great hosts and walked us through the steps of creating three different types of paella while keeping our glasses full of Cava. The feast after was hidden away in their beautiful basement surrounded by brick. We were treated to delicious appetizers of gazpacho and bocadillo de calamares that the staff had prepared for us. We had both a white and red wine with our lunch of the three types a paella we prepared - meat, seafood and vegetable - all very delicious. For dessert we had churros con chocolat and some light, airy cream which I forgot what it was called but all delicious. The best part was meeting our fellow travelers and hearing their stories.

Best Cooking Class

Tyler_S, May 2026
This experience was so much fun. You get to learn how to make 3 different paellas, eat some appetizers, and the wine was definitely flowing. Highly recommend if anyone is interested in a cooking class!

Great way to spend an afternoon in Madrid!

Stephanie_W, May 2026
What a great way to spend an afternoon. Especially a rainy afternoon in Madrid. From the moment we walked into the Cooking Clubhouse we knew it was going to be a great experience. Greeted by friendly staff with a glass of Cava we then were taken to the kitchen where we learned the art of Paella. It atmosphere was fun, social, lighthearted. Not only did we get to learn about the Spanish dish we were able to meet some amazing people and socialize while we prepared a meal for all of us to share. After the meal was cooked we headed downstairs to th family style table in the coolest little cave where we continued to socialize with our new friends and then we shared the meal we prepared together. I’m so glad we signed up for this and would encourage anyone visiting Madrid to do the same.

Absolutely worthwhile doing ! Paola was our head chef and did a brilliant job of leading the other chefs to make sure everyone was confident in what they were doing We were made aware from the beginning that this was an “experience” and that it was — a wonderful experience I think probably the best Viator experience I’ve had ever

Fantastic lesson and delicious experience! The environment is beautiful and the instructors are organized, kind, gracious and very fun. I am looking forward to making paella for my friends when I get back home. Highly recommend!

This class is amazing

Jason_J, May 2026
When they say bottomless they mean it. Not once did my cup go dry. Better however is the class. The staff are attentive and helpful. We made a delicious pan of paella. What was nice was the fact that each group made a different version of paella. I can’t recommend enough.

Great fun, wine, and food!

FREDDA_L, Apr 2026
Excellent class! Javier and his team were great. The group - mostly Americans and Canadians - were split into 4 subgroups each making a different paella. We had excellent Spanish wine as we cooked. After we were done we all shared a wonderful meal of all 4 paellas and more wine. So much fun!

I give it 6 stars if I could

Annette_O, Apr 2026
We’re so glad we picked The Cooking Club for our first cooking class ever… and in beautiful Madrid of all places!! Nico was excellent and made our Paella making experience so attainable and memorable. We enjoyed getting to meet new friends from around the world and truly loved our time to the fullest — the calamari sandwich was the star of the show and bottomless cava … should I keep going? Just know this is your sign to book this experience. You won’t want to leave towards the end. Nico and team, you’re the best!!

High spirited cooking fun!

Hilary_D, Apr 2026
This cooking class is like no other we have experienced. It starts high energy with glasses cava flowing and the music pumping as the instructions begin. The instructors had perfect timing to check in with us at our cooking station to guide us through the experience. Once the pallela was ready to cook on its own we were led to a beautiful table for all of the students to continue conversing and share an incredible meal together.

Madrid Highlight Experience.

Thomas_L, Apr 2026
This was such an enjoyable experience. Niko and Benji were so much fun. Very personable and engaging. Everything was clean, well organized and prepared ahead of start. The appetizers, paellas, and wine were delicious. We also enjoyed the music and unlimited cava. We will recommend this activity to all of our friends.

A definite “must” while in Madrid!

Ron_C, Apr 2026
4 paellas and lots of great wine. Tremendous value. Dinner and wine like we had would cost over $100 per person!
