From the moment we arrived, Lola was warm, engaging, and incredibly passionate about Spanish cuisine and culture. She made everyone feel comfortable right away and created such a fun, welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was how educational the experience was—she walked us through every ingredient, explaining not just what we were using, but why it mattered and how it fit into traditional Spanish cooking.
Making paella and tapas under her guidance was both approachable and exciting, and the end result? Absolutely delicious. It was so rewarding to enjoy a meal we helped create, especially one that tasted as authentic and flavorful as it did.
This class was easily the highlight of our short visit to Madrid. I can’t recommend Lola’s classes enough—whether you’re a seasoned cook or a total beginner, you’ll walk away with great memories, new skills, and a full, happy stomach.

We learned a lot from this class about Paella, the cultural context and history. It was a great experience with all recipes to take home. We'll definitely remember Lola when we make our next rice. And yes, the wine was flowing!

This class has been a highlight of our experience in Madrid! Lola was fantastic…knowledgeable and very personable. She made the food preparation very accessible for all and we left feeling like we could create the meal back home. We went as an extended family (grandparents and teenagers) and everyone loved it! We had an amazing evening with Loleo and would absolutely recommend the class when visiting Madrid. We have been on a number of cookery classes whilst abroad and this was by far the best yet!
Loleo emailed us before hand with clear instructions on how to find the venue, she was warm and welcoming, the cookery class was a perfect blend of watching, useful cookery tips, joining in cookery and of course lots of tasting.
We were at the class for 3 and 1/2 hours preparing and eating 4 courses… egg salad, ham croquettes, squid paella and vegetable cod. The time flew by and Loleo made sure our wine glasses were never empty.
If you are considering booking this class…. Do it!!! It was a fab way to make real Spanish food in a warm and welcoming environment!

Give yourself time to get there. Lola was fantastic! We learned so much about Spanish dishes and how to make real paella. Only suggestion I would say is it would have been nice to have a chicken or other meat option. It was predominantly seafood and we aren’t big seafood eaters. But it was a great way to spend our first day in Madrid. Definitely recommend it!

Our chef Lola had us make two tapas and then two entrees. We learned how to clean and cook squid and then use it in a black rice paella as well as how to steam cod.

This was such a memorable way to dine! We met some very interesting people, had great conversations, learned about cooking and Spanish culture, ate delicious food and enjoyed bottomless wine. Chef Loleo was great and the kitchen was beautiful. Highly recommend. We are a family of 6 with youngest being 13.

Lola provided a wonderful experience for our family! She provided great information to learn and prepare about traditional dishes of Spain. This was a great way to spend time outside of the hustle and bustle of the city and still learn much about the Spanish culture. We were fortunate to also have other children with our group which was also nice! If I could give her 10 starts I would!

The chef, Lola, was just awesome. Obviously a professional chef, she explained the history of all the food we ate and also how to approach buying and drinking wine in Spain. Small class of 8, we met great people and cooked and ate great food! Lola was amazing. Highly recommended!

Loleo was such a fantastic experience! We were a group of 10 and learned four traditional dishes. Everyone in our group was very nice and friendly. Lola shared her skills and knowledge to making delicious meals. Now I will never boil tomatoes to peel the skin off and mash! All the dishes were delicious and something we can definitely replicate when we head home. We highly recommend this experience for everyone visiting Madrid!

It was a great experience as Lola gave us many cooking tips and how to prepare and cook certain ingredients, the paella we made was way better than the ones you found in the restaurant. I’d recommend this cooking class to anyone who visits Madrid.
