Our guide, Beatrice, was exceptional. Very knowledgeable, engaging and funny. She may be among the best guides we have ever had. We were also appreciative that the English speaking group was separated out. If you go on this tour be prepared for a long walk.

Best of the best

It was a great experience to start our trip in Spain with this wonderful food tour, above and beyond. We usually start with a touring for any European city that we visit to get an initial idea about the culture and cuisines. This tour is the best we had in the last few years. Our tour guide, Sonia, is fantastic! She led us to a few carefully selected tapas restaurants (way better than the ones we went on our own based on internet recommendations). She paced the tour very well, giving us ample time to socialize and enjoy the food. She told us about the different kind of Spanish wines and how they go with different food. The tour was supposed to finish by 10:30, but she never rushed us, and stayed late with the group. Even after that, she took time guiding a few people in the group to explore night lives in Madrid. What a wonderful guide!

Fantastic highlights tour through 3 must see cities

Can't recommend enough if you are in Madrid and don't have a lot of time to explore the surrounding Spain. You could easily spend a day at each of these cities alone, but it was a joy to get a glimpse of the most beautiful sights each had to offer. Antonio and Diego were amazing tour guides and kept the information fun and engaging. Our driver Sergio got us through the hours of bus time smoothly and efficiently. As a 12 hour trip, the time really flies. I could have comfortably spent another 3 hours. That being said, I felt like there was just enough time to appreciate each place and it serves as an inspiration to return again when I have more time to spare.

Our guide, Antonio, and...

Our guide, Antonio, and driver, Pep, were the best! The tour timing was great, never spending too much time on the bus, and we had plenty of time for lunch in Toledo and to enjoy our wine tour and tasting. We also got a great amount of history on the bus itself. It is true that there’s not a ton of time during the free time to both explore the whole city AND eat lunch, but Antonio did a great job showing us the main sights on our little walking tour through Toledo and we did have enough time to look in shops and walk around in addition to lunch. Thanks for the perfect day trip!

The tour of Toledo was great! Our tour guide Silvia was excellent and provided a lot of great detail about many aspects of Toledo! She even gave us recommendations for lunch since we didn't do the lunch included and the restaurant we went to was incredible! I highly recommend this tour!

The place was easy to...

The place was easy to find and the bus was very nice. We were able to leave items on the bus, meaning I didn’t have to lug my bottle around the entire day. While the beginning and bus tour is in both English and Spanish, my actual tour around Toledo was fully English, which was nice. Great trip, friendly guide and a beautiful city (even when it’s very hot).

Our English guide was Rafael he was very insightful & welcomed questions from the group. We started the tour closer to Plaza Mayor & walked over to the Royal Palace stopping at a few locations along the way. There is lots to see at the Palace and Rafa went at a good pace, we didn't feel rushed. We were also advised we could stay and do the Palace on our own again.

Very well organised trip those who want to see El Estorial and the Valley of the Fallen from Madrid. We thought the Valley of the Fallen was a little rushed as we had spent longer at the Monastery than was allocated. Our guide Isabel was excellent - very friendly, interesting and enthusiastic.

Good comprehensive tour...

Good comprehensive tour ;when split into English/Spanish speaking tour guides it ended up being small groups. Time was well managed at each site. Plenty of time to explore on your own, balanced with learning the History of both sites. Both of our English speaking guides were exceptional. David was our Toledo guide- he was quite impressive. I cannot remember our female guides name for Segovia - but she was a local and she introduced us to some of the artisans as she was walking through town. It was amazing!! The side trip to the steel sword making factory in Toledo was very interesting. 10/10.

Good overview of the two cities

The tour was fine, we were taken to both the places as advertised. Tour guide Vanessa was good, driver Ernesto as well. Both Segovia and Toledo were wonderful, and unlike the other reviewers I found we spent enough time there, and enough free time too. Everything ran more or less smoothly and when it didn't it was because some customers were late or lost. The only issue is that they messaged me the night before telling me they couldn't run the English tour that day at that time and that I had to pick an alternative.

Perfect Day Trip from Madrid!

This trip was the perfect balance of having structured tours with our guide / group and having free time. Our guide, Rachel, gave excellent bi-lingual tours (Spanish/English) of both towns and answered questions along the way. Our tour included the Alcazar in Segovia which we highly recommend.

Lovely day trip from Madrid!

Great day trip from Madrid! Lovely and interesting cities: Ávila and Segovia. Tour was well scheduled and a good pace. A fair amount of walking but it is not difficult walking and there are “on your own” times. Beatriz was an excellent English speaking guide. Definitely recommend.
