Great day out

The itinerary is excellent! Beautiful places, lots of history and culture. Comfortable shoes is a must and Segovia was much cooler than Madrid so need some extra layer but check the weather forecast. Don’t expect too much from the English speaking guides and you’ll have a fabulous time :)

Good balance

We were unsure of what cities to visit outside of Madrid, but decided that these two were the most visited. I know that 12 hours seems long for a tour, but it was nicely balanced with a walking tour and free time at each place. Toledo is about 45 minutes south of the city and Segovia about 1.5 hours north. We started in Toledo and went to Segovia. Total of about 4.5 hours on the bus (45 to Toledo, 2:15 from Toledo to Segovia and 1.5 hours back to Madrid). All in all we were pleased with the tours. The bus was comfortable and the AC worked no problem. If you have a day, it is worth it to see both. If your time is limited, I would suggest Segovia over Toledo as we found it to be more charming and the castle offers amazing views.

This tour was amazing! I fell in love with Madrid. So rich in history and so beautiful. I personally found the Royal Palace more stunning than Versailles in France. My guide Beatriz “Bea” was so knowledgeable, funny, and engaging and made for an unforgettable experience. She was just a wealth of information and she made it fun, you just want to learn more. She also paid close attention to the group. At one point I didn’t see my daughter and had a moment of panic, Bea saw the look in my eyes and without my saying a word she pointed out where my daughter was standing. This tour and guide made for a very memorable experience and I highly recommend.

Loved the places, excellent tour

We signed up for Toledo and Segovia tour. Our tour guide, Enrique was excellent, knowledgeable, and approachable and I apologized for the lady guide, forgot her name, she accompanied us on the way back to Madrid. She was an excellent guide too. I knew they checked the list of passengers a couple of times, but Enrique remembered me amongst the 40or 50s+ passengers. The bus is clean, looked new and seats were comfortable. It was an organized chaos. I think the passengers contributed a lot - considerate of others. We all just wanted to have fun. First, if you ride the Metro, the closest is Ventas Metro. Exit the Ventas Metro station, turn around, it will be the 1st street on the right. just follow the people. There's a cafeteria across the street near the meeting point you can grab some breakfast and use the rest room. There's no restroom and you cannot eat inside the bus. This is a comprehensive tour; it's like snippets of beautiful places. Toledo and Segovia were beautiful and breath-taking. Make sure you have good walking shoes, a LOT OF WALKING uphill, downhill on uneven cobblestones. Lunch was good so include lunch on your tour. You won't regret going to these towns, these were the highlights of our Madrid trip. There are trains going to these towns, you can go on your own and you will have time to explore. However, it's the convenience, the guides insights make you signed up for these tours. It's worth the money. We are in our 60s and changing trains and buses are hard, so it was a good decision. I would recommend Amigo tours, because of organized updates through texting and competent guides. From, Katy, Texas

Great way to visit 3 cities in 1 day : )

This tour, due to our amazing guides, Laura and Eduardo and our bus driver Angel, was the perfect way for us to touch on another 3 cities during our few days in Madrid. Being able to spend one day of our journey visiting Segovia, Avila and Toledo was a great use of our time. Each city is unique and our guides did a great job providing enough history at each stop to keep us interested, while keeping the tour nicely moving along. Food recommendations were spot on & authentic, meeting places and times were clearly explained, with even email reminders. For a large and full bus of tourists, (English & Spanish speaking) Laura and Eduardo did an amazing job with organization and Angel was always where expected and was a very safe and careful driver. Although it was 3 cities in 12 hours span including many miles driven, we loved how we spent the day and really enjoyed this tour. Bravo!!!

Great historical site visit

Beatrice was a fantastic tour guide. She gave us a great explanation of the history of Spain on our way to the monastery so when we arrived there the significance of the things we saw made a lot of sense. The Escorial is about an hour outside of Madrid and the tour is the perfect length to see an amazing site and still have time to enjoy Madrid in the afternoon. See how they carved things into the mountainside is absolutely worth it! I highly recommend this tour.

A very full day in two wonderful Spanish cities. Our tour was informative, travel was comfortable in a beautiful bus and our guide, Beatrice, was always looking out for us. Beatrice was professional, knowledgeable, kind and fun. The tour is long and requires a lot of walking. It was a great day and I highly recommend it.

Great tour with good lunch!

There is a lot of walking with guided commentary. There can be a bit late for lunch at about 1:30pm. Do prepare a bit of snacks. The tapas lunch is worth the value paid. Had a glass of free wine to go with it! Overall, it was a worthy tour. Not too long or too short for us.
