My family of 3 enjoyed this outing. We learned more about Madrid, enjoyed some delicious tapas and wine, and met new travelers. The locations we went to were authentic and were all a short distance from where we met. Yolanda was friendly and helpful as our tour guide and made sure everyone had a nice experience. I recommend as a fun outing when in Madrid.

We frequently take a food tour when we visit different cities and this was a really good one. Unlike some, we didn’t get to explore much of the city but then again it was a food and wine tour, and the experience was great. Good wine, with insightful explanation around both the drink and food, plus fascinating history. A lot of tasty food and really lovely company. Very highly recommend.

I booked this tour for my wife and I during our first anniversary trip to Madrid. We decided to dedicate the trip to eating all of the fantastic cuisine from the city by playing Tapas Bingo. This tour easily was the highlight of our trip. The food we ate in every restaurant was fantastic, fresh, and authentic. The format of the tour was great. But the two reasons why I am writing this review is for the group we shared the experience with and our guide Juan Felipe. Our group was small, around 10. My wife and I are from the US, and we were joined by a great group of folks from the UK, Sweden, Malta and Germany. Everyone was very kind and loved talking to one another about their cultures. It was a great reminder of the authentic connections you can make while traveling in a short period - this tour was only 4 hours. By the end of it, everyone was exchanging travel tips for when we would inevitably visit their country. A great exchange! By far our leader Juan Felipe was a great guide. He organized and educated us on each dish, swiftly got us in and out of various restaurants quickly. But what made him really fun in our eyes was his historical notes as we walked through the city. He gave a first hand view as someone who grew up meters from the Plaza Mayor of what it was like to live in Madrid. That was exceptionally valuable and such a real treat, on top of the delicious food. Safe to say, we completed a lot of the bingo card that night but walked away with what we felt was a very authentic, honest and true tour of central Madrid's culinary landscape. I cannot wait to come back. Run, don't walk, to booking this tour!

Wonderful evening in Madrid!

Steven_M, Apr 2026
We spent a wonderful evening going to four different restaurants and bars, learning about Madrid, having gourmet food and drinking local wine, beer, tinto de verano or vermouth. I chose to drink only vermouth and it was different in each establishment. A great experience.

A great way to hear from an experienced guide - Rokardo - about this beautiful city and experience authentic tapas in a host of iconic bars/restaurants. Each place had their own food specialities: the best gambas al ajillo I've ever had in Casa del Abuelo to the softest, creamiest cheesecake in Los Galayos. Rokardo was so informative and our trip of 3 hours flew by! I would absolutely recommend this tour to solo travellers, couples, families and small groups.

Amanda was a great guide who was so knowledgeable about not only the food and it’s origins, but the city too. The food was delicious and fresh and the places we visited I felt were picked out for not only the food but for being interesting. We were super full at end end! Thanks Jen and susie

It was a lot of fun! Great information on the food and wines of the region. Our guide, Yolanna was wonderful, so friendly and fun!

Lovely tapas tour with a great guide

Zvika_Z, Apr 2026
Ricardo was an excellent guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and great at bringing Madrid’s history into the food and wine experience. The concept is very nice and the three hours passed pleasantly, with a good social atmosphere. Not every dish was to our taste, especially the baby calamari and cheesecake, but the garlic shrimp was excellent and some of the wines were very good.

Delicious food and wine

We had a fantastic time on our food tour in Madrid, and Sylvia was an excellent guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and engaging. The food stops were all delicious, and Sylvia shared great insights about the local cuisine and culture along the way. It was a perfect way to explore the city—highly recommend this tour with her!

Had a great experience with Yolanda as our tour guide. Family of 4, including 2 kids, had an engaging and tasty walk. We had a chance to learn about Spains history as well as the culinary culture. Great way to spend a few hours in Madrid!

Great night out. Easy and delicious.

Diana_D, Apr 2026
Noemi was amazing. So friendly and explained the history of the establishments we visited. Many of the places we stopped at were more than 100 years old. She told us about the dishes and the regions that the drinks were from. Great value. My husband and I enjoyed chatting with the other travelers. The last stop had the best cheesecake over ever had. Better than Uncle Rikuro‘s in Osaka or Stefan’s in Freiburg, better than NYC.

Strongly recommend!

Jiyoung_K, Apr 2026
Very happy with this experience. The group was nice and our guide Carlos was great. Glad to get to experience small restos with history. A not so typical choice for a first time visitor to Madrid for the first day, but I know now I made the right choice.

Wonderful experience!

Eva was wonderful! We got to try so many places and unique foods. The wines included were also great because they were all from various regions of Spain

Great food and value, while learning

Christopher_P, Mar 2026
Do not eat before the tour as you will get more than enough to eat. And such a great quality array of tapas and experiences. We went to 4 different places, and tasted a total of maybe 10 or so food items, and a drink at each place. All the food was excellent. But what really made the tour was Noemi. She is so knowledgeable, attentive, and courteous. She ensured we were learning while we were tasting, and was very eager to share the culture and her knowledge of the local food scene.

Great food, drinks and charming small restaurants

John_N, Mar 2026
We really enjoyed going to small restaurants with delicious tapas and variety of great beverage options, including wine, Spanish vermouth, sparkling wine (cava), etc.. Our guide Noemi was super nice, helpful and informative!

The art of tapas

Pat_S, Mar 2026
Had a truly delightful wine and tapas tour with our guide, Sonja. She was friendly and super informative about the tapas and accompanying wines at each of the four establishments we visited. I especially enjoyed the garlic shrimp at La Casa Del Abuelo paired with sweet red vermouth as well as the Arzua cheese with quince toast at Casa Gonzalez. The tapas were all served family style so conversation was warm and easy from the start. I felt very welcomed as a single woman in our small group of 11. Wear comfortable shoes, although the total walk is not more than a mile. More importantly, come hungry so you can savor each and every delicious bite.

Authentic Spanish Food and Wine!

Nikki, Mar 2026
If you love experiencing the authentic cuisine and wines of the city or country you're visiting then this is the tour for you! Sonia was an excellent guide. Very passionate about the food, wine and culture she described as we ate and drank our way though areas of Madrid that the locals go to. The highlight for me was LA Casa Del Abuelo were we had the garlic shrimp and the vermouth drink was excellent!

Do not miss this experience. My husband and I added this food and wine tour as a last day in Spain activity and we are so glad we did. Carmen was excellent. Her friendly spirit helped all of us make connections. We were a group of 12 from all over the world. We enjoyed good food and good conversation. So happy we did this!

Great Outing with lots of Tapas and Wine

Maryellen_D, Mar 2026
Our tapas and wine pub crawl today exceeded my expectations. Our guide ROCIO was excellent. Very friendly and very well informed and very willing to answer many questions. We were a group of 10 all from the US and a nice mix of college students to seniors age wise. Everyone mingled well The tour advertises four locations with tastings of 10 to 12 tapas and a drink at each location. I had anticipated a bite or two of each of the varied tapas offerings and a small pour. That was not the case. We got a full pour of wine or beer and in one case a tasty vermouth at each location. A choice of white or red wine. We each received a full individual serving (as if you were ordering off the menu) of each of the 12 tapas. Wow. Way more food than anticipated. It seems that everyone’s favorite was the garlic shrimp offered at the second location and the cheesecake at the end, which was super creamy, it was very popular. Everything was good and walking to the various locations not so far from one another worked out very well. I 100% recommend this tour to you and I hope you get ROCIO as a guide for a good time and good tastings

Amazing tapas
