This is a great tour if you are apprehensive about trying tapas on your own. We visited 4 restaurants throughout Madrid, with wine and tapas at each stop. Carlos was a very knowledgeable host.

Nice social event to experience food, drink and new people.
The walking was manageable for all ages and focused on one key area utilising four venues.
There were about ten dishes offered with four glasses of wine (either white or red) and dietary requirements were catered for.
The dishes are sharing plates between four people (unless you had a specific need) although I missed out on one because there wasn’t enough to go around.
I can’t say I came out full of food (or wine) but it was pleasant enough to try different things.
The guide was very friendly and informative and answered any questions asked.

Fun time with small group (from US, Canada and Australia). Great intro to seeing the side streets with a very "local: knowledgable tour guide. Stopped at several places that are well know by locals and enjoyed tapas and wine. All places had a unique story that the guide shared. Outstanding evening stroll in the "hood". Recommemd for 1st evening in the city.

Wonderful experience highlighting the tapas around Madrid. Yolanda was an excellent guide giving us history of the different types of tapas at the four restaurants as well as points of interest along the way. Wine was very good at every place and the variety of food and drink pleased all of our group. Highly recommend!

Enrique was a wonderful guide and host. Made the tour more of a community. Loved the parings of tapas and wines and trying it all. I love going on food tours in most European cities and this was no different. Great spots and he was very personable and very happy to share his food and culture with strangers. The most important thing was none of us were strangers anymore by the end. He had created another community through food and wine

Sandra, our guide, was excellent! Not a good value. Long wait to start the tour, some of the tapas were less than decent. At one place we received one mussel.

Sorry for that impression. That day We waited some minutes over the starting time to wait for the elederly customer with a walking disability who was in contact with the office staff. We knew she was around the corner but took her longer than expected. Maybe the guide failed to communicate that.
And it is a pity that among the 12 different tapas and rations we order some of them were not of your taste.
Regarding the mussel "Tigre" , that is an individual tapa from that restaurant. The meat of the mussel is chopped and mixed with herbs and bechamel and gratin in the oven in its shell. It is very filling and we eat as a bite or appetizer.
We hope you give us chance some other time with a private tour to cater choices specifically for your taste.

This was such a great way to experience the city. There are SO many tapas restaurants, it can be overwhelming. Sylvia was an amazing tour guide, and we got to try classic tapas and local drinks, while exploring a really great part of the city. Would highly recommend!

We had a blast with Javier. He was very kind and knowledgeable of the city. The tour was a balance of history, food, drinks, and fun! We tried multiple tapas and the tour included 4 drinks (2 wines, vermouth and cava). I would highly recommend the tour!

We didn’t have a lot of time in Madrid so I wanted to hear local perspectives and try local food without worrying about tourist traps or wasting time.
Carlos was fantastic. The food was perfect at each stop (still thinking about the shrimp).
Not a lot of options if you’re really picky, I wouldn’t recommend for the non-adventurous. They could accommodate some allergy requests and you definitely had the option to pay for other things on your own but it was a set menu. I wasn’t disappointed in anything though, it was all great.
Drinks are fairly limited to red wine, white wine, soda, water, juice but the wine was very good. We actually went back the next day for a bottle of red from the second stop.
Overall just a great introduction to local Madrid, we really appreciated the hospitality

Such a fun evening of food, new friends and fun! Javier was absolutely great, explaining so much about the food, restaurants and offering many other suggestions about what to see and what to do in Madrid. The bars were well thought out and bonus, we got to see the end of the arsenal v psg soccer game, enjoy a traveling singing group and meet really fun people! Highly recommend
