A Story That Hurts but Fun to Laugh with

A horse is not a horse until you ride it and it’s not a story until you ride him on a beach. Let him do all the work while you enjoy the ocean colors from dark to light blue to wave white. Make your story livid and your hind sores real to let everyone know you, not Clint or John, did it.

First of all I want to say our driver, Arturo, was personable, professional and a very nice, helpful person. Our leader on the horse ride was also very professional and a good leader. However there are two things about this excursion that Viator needs to be aware of. First of all I feel the excursion being labelled as "horseback riding on the beach" is very misleading. We spent less than 5 minutes on the beach. And the trek to get to and from the beach was too long (3 hours or so). Secondly, I was disrespected and mistreated by the owner of the horses when speaking to him about one of his horses who suddenly sat down (twice) while being ridden. I am happy to provide you with details, if you wish. For these 2 concerns, I would not recommend this trip.

Long drive for a ride

Was a long drive for 1 1/2 hour horse ride and only 5 minutes of it on the beach. The ferry was great as was our driver . We had 15 minutes at the fish market and 3 hours in the car

Great experience with Flavio our guide who was very professional and attentive. The horseback riding on the beach is simply spectacular. Perfect for beginners but also for advanced riders. The landscape is SPLENDID!!! 100% recommended. This is an unique experience that you should try.

Loved this tour!! Our guide, Flavio, took the time to make the trip to Comporta even more spectacular by highlighting the beauty of his country. The horseback riding was so much fun and I felt secure all the time. This experience not to be missed by any nature lover.
