A HUGE thank you to our guide, Manuel, for showing us some very special art in Lisbon. Unless you've rented a car, you will never see the incredible murals that exist at the city limits without taking a local tour. Manuel is a guide who is not only knowledgeable about the subject matter, he is committed to it, which is evident by a local mural he has tattooed on his forearm. In my opinion, it's the guide who "makes" the tour, and Manuel will not disappoint. I plan to return to Portugal for the art alone!

Inside neighbourhoods I would have never visited on my own you find hidden gems of street art by Tamara Alves, Ozearv, Vhils, etc and other oddities of Lisbon. Secret Chinese restaurants, the world’s best surveillance system, nice views and more. Absolutely worth doing this trip up the hill. An entertaining and informative three hour walk through the city.

Fabulous Street Art Tour

Fabulous tour! The street art in Lisbon is very interesting. Tour took us to two big street art projects so we saw a lot of art produced by the top street artists. Loved it! The only complaint I have is with Trip Advisor. They listed the wrong meeting place. Contact supplier and get the information right! Fortunately we had enough time to get to the right location but we had to take a taxi at an added cost to us to get their in time.

We really enjoyed our tour with Rita. She is a very passionate guide. This is not graffiti but a true art expression in of itself. Especially liked going to the suburb community to see the varied projects of different artists and their impact on the people living there. This tour is a great chance to get a feel for modern day Lisbon in addition to its history.
