Meet your guide at your Lisbon hotel and soak up the scenery on the journey to Fátima. Along the way, discover the fascinating history of the sacred site from your knowledgeable guide and hear about the apparitions of Our Lady of Fátima that appeared to three shepherd children in 1917.
On arrival in Fátima, head straight to the Basilica to admire the statue of Our Lady of Fatima and see the tombs of the children - Francisco, Jacinta and Lúcia. Follow your guide inside the Igreja da Santíssima Trindade (Church of the Holy Trinity), the largest Catholic sanctuary in Portugal, then learn more about the city’s sacred history at the Wax Museum.
Next, visit the Capela das Aparições (Chapel of Apparitions) and learn how it was built at the request of Our Lady of Fátima, on the site of the apparitions. Close by, see the Azinheira Grande tree where Jacinta, Lúcia, and Francisco passed before the apparitions appeared.
For an even more memorable experience, opt to include the Candle Procession, which takes place every day from April 17 to October 31, between 9.30pm and 11.00pm. Experience the magic of Fátima after-dark and join the atmospheric candlelight march beneath the beautifully illuminated Basilica.

We had a great driver taking us from Lisbon hotel to Fatima. However, he was not a tour guide. We were dropped off and wandered around the sanctuary by ourselves with no guide. Being Catholic, I was really looking forward to learning more during this experience but was very disappointed. The sanctuary was beautiful, wish I was able to learn more about what exactly we were looking at. Very nice driver, but just a driver not a guide. Would not recommend if you want a tour and want to learn about Fátima.

This is not a tour - it’s a ride to Fatima. Our driver was very nice as was the car but we were just dropped off.

We had a fantastic experience with our driver Freitas. He was punctual, polite, and drove very safely. He knew the best routes, shared helpful local tips, and made us feel very comfortable throughout the ride. Highly recommend him for anyone needing a reliable and friendly ride to Fatima.

Depending on your driver, this will either be a guided tour or basically an Uber like ride to Fatima. Unfortunately, ours was the latter…
On the plus side, our driver was on time, got us to Fatima in time to explore the Sanctuary and participate in the Candle Procession and was willing to drop us off near our AirBnB versus the original meeting location. So, thank you for that.
On the minus side, he didn’t speak much English so he wasn’t really a Tour Guide and I am not sure if he even knew about the procession and how long it would take. The van was on the older side with no A/C vents in middle or back row.
Overall, we enjoyed the experience at Fatima, but this was a very misleading description for what you are paying for.

This tour was very disappointing. Our guide had limited English skills, lacked basic historical knowledge (he didn’t even know the year of the apparition), and was largely disengaged—telling us to explore on our own and meet him later in the parking lot. To make matters worse, it was a national holiday, so most attractions were closed, despite the itinerary stating they were included. We were not informed about the holiday in advance, which was incredibly frustrating. On a positive note, our guide, Paulo Beira, was a safe and competent driver.

What tour? What experience? We got in a van and were driven to Fatima. When we arrived in Fatima, the driver asked, What now... there was no tour, no procession, everything was closed. We wasted 5 hours of our time to ride in a van to nowhere. Driver stopped 2 times to smoke. What a dissapointment. Waiting on a refund. Dont make the same mistake.

Thanks to Viator we received a full refund. Driver showed up late and then could not speak English. Took us to Fatima, dropped us off at a church and with broken English said he would be back in 30 minutes. Instead he returned 2 hours later and began driving us back to Lisbon. We asked about the Candle Procession and all he said was no. So a very big waste of our time.

Eduardo picked us up at the cruise port and took us on our tour to Fatima. He explained everything we saw along our drive. He is extremely knowledgeable. He provided an overview of Fatima upon arrival and gave us free time to explore. He suggested a fabulous restaurant for lunch and we thoroughly enjoyed great conversation during our meal. Eduardo dropped us off at our hotel at the end of the tour. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see Fatima and if you can, you should definitely request Eduardo!

If you just want to have a driver who take you to Fatima, go ahead. The driver were nice and he made a great job driving. But if you want a tour, just find some other option. The driver just let us in Fatima at 7pm with any guide or explanation and we saw him again until almost 11pm
Wax museum were close, the church were close. Of course we spend a great time because we were there, but it’s not a tour!!

We were trying to leave Lisbon when the roads were closed for the Pope. The customer support and driver made sure I was able to navigate the trains (which I had never used) to find my driver and finally get out of town and go to Fatima. It was well worth the difficulties!!

First I have to say, Fatima and the candlelight procession are beautiful and moving. This review does not disparage that experience at all. My review is of calling this a “tour”, when in fact for us, it was a bad Uber ride at best. Our “guide” (serge) knew nothing of Fatima, had only been there once as a child, and actually asked why we would even want to go there. He did not speak about anything on the ride there, other than saying 1/2 way that he needed to stop for a smoke break. When we got to Fatima, he did not know where to drop us off nor what to tell us to do when we got inside. We figured it out ourselves however and it was a beautiful, peaceful experience. This was soon to be disrupted on the late night ride home where he blasted punk heavy metal music the entire way. We did not complain since he appeared sleepy and we hoped the music would keep him awake. 5 stars for Fatima, 0 stars for the experience.

Eduardo, was on time, and the vehicle used on our trip was very comfortable. He was very informative, and asked us continually if there was any questions or concerns that we had. We overstayed our visit, a bit, at the Fatima site, but Eduardo was patient with us, and we showed our appreciation. All in all, we had a good visit and were amazed at the size of the Holy Site. We will recommend, Eduardo and Viator, if we are asked for a recommendation.
