This was such an enjoyable experience. The chefs/instructors gave background history about Key West, and many cooking tips as they demonstrated preparing the food. The food was delicious, and the whole event was just awesome! I loved receiving the recipe cards, so that I can prepare these dishes at home!

We booked the cooking show based on the reviews here to fill time in the afternoon before our fight home. We did a lunch show with chefs Karl and Melanie and it was truly a highlight of our trip! They had great tips and stories to share and were so enjoyable as hosts. All of the food was beyond amazing and the key lime pie was the absolute best of our trip!! If you have the opportunity definitely book this experience as you will not be disappointed!! (They also gave us coupons for BOGO cocktails at their bar while we waited for the show to begin. And the red sangria served at the show was a highlight as well!) We did a walking food tour the previous day and that experience was nowhere close to the quality of this cooking show. 10/10 recommend!!

Just go! It’s a delicious experience

It was fun, informative and most importantly delicious! The Chefs demonstrated how to make the dishes along with really great tips to use at home. We received beautifully printed recipe cards to make each of the dishes at home. All food and drink was provided and you also could order from the bar menu which had many drink options available to you. I had the Key Lime Martini which was really tasty. The food was plentiful and delicious! While in Key West we tried several key lime pies from different establishments and this one here at the cooking show was by far the best we’ve ever had. Depending on the day and time there are different menus they demo so you can always chose based on that was well. We just chose a time that worked for our plans and it was wonderful. We left with full bellies and inspiration to try theses recipes at home. It’s a fun way to spend a few hours while in Key West.

Chef Karl was fantastic! Entertaining, informative and totally in control of the kitchen. He shared stories and tips throughout the meal preparation that kept us all engaged and learning new tips to take back to our own kitchens. The ingredients were all fresh and delicious, making the entire meal memorable - and with the recipe cards and notes we should be able to make it ourselves at home. We were the only tourists that night, so it’s great to see they’re drawing repeat local customers already. We will definitely put this on our recommendations list and cannot wait to come back and do it again ourselves! Our meal was vermillion snapper with Creole sauce, white sangria, plantain chips with chimichurri dipping sauce and an amazing guava bread pudding with ‘guava lava’ sauce! Wow!!

The class was great! We really enjoyed the class and the the instructors gave us a lot of cooking tips that made a lot of sense. The food was REALLY good and there was a lot of history behind the meals themselves and the significance of the ingredients, and why each ingredients is important to the dish. The instructors are very knowledgeable about the dishes and very nice and I know their families enjoy their cooking a lot! I loveeddd the jerk chicken and the jerk BBQ. I hope to come back soon and join the other classes and learn about and try even more dishes.

There is a lot of history about food from the island which is very interesting. The food and the flavors were great. We were not Key West or Floria natives and felt left out. We were sat at a table in the back by ourselves. We knew we were the only ones that had flown in the group because the asked who flew in.
