Please meet your photographer next to the lifeguard stand at the beach. Stay in your car until your photographer introduces themselves and gives you additional instruction. If you do not have transportation your photographer can pick you up and drop you off from your hotel for an additional $150

Photographer is great, don't do the "10 minute scramble"

We absolutely loved the photographer! Great photo pose suggestions, he was super friendly, and all the edited pics turned out great. The places we got to see were beautiful as well! Our favorite spot was the beach! A word of caution: We were offered the opportunity to do a short hike at the beginning of the tour what was described as a "10 minute scramble" to a waterfall. The waterfall was beautiful, but unfortunately it was so steep and muddy to get to it took our group almost 2 hours. At this point our hair and makeup were ruined, we were covered in sweat and mud, and we only able to make it to 1 more spot for photos which was a huge bummer. The waterfall was gorgeous, but if we could do it again we would have skipped this portion or left it for the last stop.

Aloha Emma, Appreciate your feedback. This helps guests understand their experience with us. Just to reiterate... The waterfall portion that was part of your tour is not part of the adventure photography session. The Adventure photography session is a photographic session that takes advantage of beautiful scenery around the Island with very moderate walking (no hiking). From the sound of it. You booked the secret waterfall tour which includes a photographer as a guide. From our experience hiking down to a waterfall does not take 10 minutes. The tour states approximately time frame takes around 2-3 hours total for most people. We recommend good shoes and clothing that can get muddy. Kauai is known to be the Garden Isle meaning it is one of the wettest spots on earth. We recommend everyone to be prepared and call your photographer before hand if you have any questions. More than just a Photoshoot!

Both Chris and Eli were amazing to work with. Eli met us at our hotel on time and took us to some of Kauai's most hidden gems. My personal favorite was a private 120 foot waterfall which had Eli not setup ropes to hike down, myself and my fiancé would've never attempted. This is truly an adventure and well worth the money spent. Will definitely do this again.

You Don’t Want To Miss This One!

We met up with our photographer Dana at 7am this morning and hit up the beach first. We took a bunch of photos there and did a special photo for our brother and sister in law as a thank you for sending us here to Kauai for our honeymoon! We then headed to the mountains, an arboretum and Dana was extremely knowledgeable about the island and all the plants that grew there. She picked a few flowers for my hair (ginger) and she truly felt like an old friend we hadn’t seen in awhile. We then headed to the water falls and a beautiful little village. Overall this was an excellent experience and so thankful we got Dana as our photographer! Mahalo!

Our photographer Olivia was AMAZING. She was punctual and super patient with our two little kids who were balancing the photo shoot with their own excitement at the beach. Olivia recommended some great poses and accommodated the poses we had in mind as well. She also went on to take some impromptu pictures of our 6-month-old daughter which were ADORABLE! There is tons of value for money with Portraitnani. Lots of thanks to the company as well as to Olivia in specific.

Braden was wonderful! He took us to a remote beautiful beach that was beyond gorgeous. Had lots of ideas and suggestions for us. I know the photos are going to be phenomenal!! My daughters, the subjects of the photos, had a great time! Highly recommend!!

Our experience with Chris was nothing short of unforgettable. I told him I would like to have him take us to a remote waterfall so that I could propose to my girlfriend and have him capture the moment. He went above and beyond to meet all my requests and expectations. The location was perfect, the photos were gorgeous and he took into account all the small details that mattered to both of us. Chris was such an awesome guy to work with (please always tip your guide) he even offered to help guide us on future ventures for our trip. He would make sure to check if we felt comfortable as we hiked off trail and secured our feet with spikes and secured a rope to make sure we were always safe. He didn’t put us on a time stamp and was willing to wait until a rainbow showed up in our pictures. Great at directing us through each shot and helped inspire our creativity
