Gardens were so beautiful and our guide, Troy, was so knowledgeable funny and helpful. It was a delight to be with him. Learned a lot about the garden the owners and area. The walk had lots of different terrain, some steps and hills. Our walking sticks were helpful since we're not "young chickens". Enjoyed both fruit and chocolate tastings. Although it was predicting rain, we had none.

Great experience with very knowledgeable staff. Absolutely loved it. We went on a day after a wind storm but it was beautiful out. Lauren was very sweet and knew answers to every question our group had. We never felt the trek was too much, either. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Leisurely stroll through a private botanical garden with a variety of tastings including their own single source chocolate...limited, and other global fare trade chocolates, their honey, and seasonal fruits. Knowledgeable guide.

Exceeded our expectations!

Kathleen_M, Mar 2026
We were very lucky to catch good weather for this tour. Very friendly staff greeted us right at the front gate. The garden is beautiful, even stunning in places. I teased my wife that this must be what the Garden of Eden looked like. Our guide, Heidi, was a 14 year veteran and so very passionate and knowledgeable. Mini- tasting stops throughout the tour were very fun and the chocolate tasting part was very interesting. The only downside was the length of the tour was 3 hours, and with the heat and humidity, it was a wee bit too much for my wife. They ended the tour in a fun way: each party got their own fresh coconut to sip juice from. Highly recommend!

Response from Host, Mar 2026

We love "The Garden of Eden" reference Kathleen! We feel the same way about this beautiful place! Heidi is a wealth of information and truly passionate in sharing her love for the botanical world, happy to hear you found it fun and educational! Mahalo nui loa for coming to see us!

Larissa_D, Feb 2026
This was a fantastic tour exploring and gaining knowledge about the islands plants native and non native. It was a very unique experience while getting to taste the fresh fruit and the chocolate was an added bonus. Loved everything about this tour!

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Aloha Larissa, We're so grateful for your feedback and support of the gardens, Mahalo! You put a big smile in our hearts! A hui ho!

A beautiful tropical garden and our guide, Lauren was very informative and helpful. Loved the bridges and waterfalls.

Randall_R, Feb 2026
Beautifully landscaped but is NOT wheelchair friendly. That being said, the paths are well maintained. There are many terraces, elevation changes, and garden can be muddy in places when raining. The garden is located on the northern region of Kauai where rainfall is plentiful. Be prepared with raingear and good walking or hiking shoes. The chocolate tasting was intriguing and delicious comparing chocolate from around the world. A short explanation of the farmer's part of the chocolate making process from the planting of the cacao trees, the harvesting of the seed pods, the processing of the seeds before sending the nibs to the chocolatier who produces the finished product was given. The tour was a relaxing and informative way to spend a leisurely 3 hours in a peaceful and beautiful setting. If you enjoy learning about plants from around the world you'll love this tour.

Response from Host, Feb 2026

Aloha Randall! Thank you so much for visiting us and taking the time to write such a lovely, detailed review! We appreciate your feedback. Lauren is a wonderful guide, we'll make sure to share your comments with her ! A hui ho!

A beautiful oasis!

Melinda_B, Dec 2025
A beautiful oasis! The grounds and plants were amazing, the tour guides were very informative and friendly and the chocolate was yummy! The tour information I received via email indicated to bring your own bug spray, however they did have bug repellent available for all to use, as well as for purchase, on site. You definitely want to use bug spray! They also had walking sticks that we could use if we wanted. I chose to use one and it came in handy with the hills and steps! It was a warm day when I took the tour, so I was very appreciative of the many plants and the shade that they provided as we walked and learned about them. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Aloha Melinda! Mahalo for visiting us and leaving such an informative review1. Warms our heart to hear you had a wonderful experience with us! A hui ho!

Amazing Tour guide and endless beauty to be found here!

Sherry_S, Dec 2025
That it’s not just all about gardening and plants! It was so informative, yes about the plants. We also learned all about Cacao growing and all the fruits that come off the trees and their purpose. Our guide Lauren was a wealth of knowledge, super smart, great speaking voice (we could all hear her) and ultra organized.

Response from Host, Dec 2025

Aloha Sherry! We are absolutely delighted to read your feedback and share your experience with Lauren! She's a local gem and we are so grateful to have her on our team! Thank you for visiting us and taking the time to write such a wonderful review! We appreciate your support! A hui ho!

Worth it!

Amy_N, Nov 2025
The garden was beautiful, our guide equal parts informative and entertaining. Highly recommend. But use insect repellent. My daughter spent the next day in bed with cortisone cream treating over 30 mosquito bites.

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Aloha Amy! We are so sorry to hear about your daughter's bites. A quick bit of info in case you spend more time out on trails here in Kauai - the lavender Noni lotion that is made here on island and that we have available on our tour is 100% organic and very effective in relieving any itching, swelling or irritation from a variety of insect bites. It's called Real Noni and you can find it at Healthy Hut, Hoku, or Papayas as well as here at the garden. We are happy you enjoyed your tour otherwise! A hui ho!

Excellent tour! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A treat for the senses

Benigno_A, Nov 2025
It was the best garden tour we have been to. The pace was relaxed—a stroll rather than a sprint—up and down beautifully terraced paths and over picturesque bridges. Good thing it wasn’t raining and hadn’t rained the night before because some paths were steep and could have been slippery and muddy. we enjoyed fruit tastings along the way and halfway through, the 2 groups met up and we all sat in comfy chairs under a tent. Our guide, Lauren, was great! She and Troy (the other group’s guide) took turns telling us all about cacao trees and chocolate production. We even got to taste cacao ambrosia! Both guides were pleasant, articulate and informative. 3 hours passed by like a breeze. Walking sticks, umbrellas and insect repellent were provided and the walking sticks really came in handy. Even in good weather, good hiking boots and a hat were a must!

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Aloha! Nature is the star here....you capture it perfectly by saying a " Treat for the Senses", couldn't have said it better!! Mahalo nui loa for spending time with us on your holiday to Kauai, we appreciate your support and lovely review. A hui ho!

Stunning!!

Sandra_K, Nov 2025
Absolutely stunning botanical gardens! Our guide was probably the most knowledgeable person we could have hoped for. The fruit and chocolate tastings were wonderful as well. Gift shop has lots of chocolate to choose from as well as healthy, herbal items. Do not hesitate to put on more bug stuff along the way, I got a number of mosquito bites though I never saw one!

Response from Host, Nov 2025

Mahalo nui loa Sandra for the stunning review!!!! We love hearing about your experience with us and appreciate the details of your share. A hui ho!
