Our driver, Anthony, was an absolute hoot and we had a great time with him.
The NASA guide was less impressive, quite chaotic and disorganised.
The site is worth a visit for the Saturn 5 rocket, and the Space Shuttle walk-through. The Tom Hanks-narrated movie was very worthwhile.
But the museum there is very dated, despite having some great exhibits. It’s like a low-tech 1980’s regional museum, not at all what I expected from NASA.
Despite the weather staying fine, threats of wind and rain caused them to cancel the trams, meaning that they shut all the outdoor facilities. This was hugely disruptive, meaning that out Mission Control your was canned and we only got a 50% refund.

Clear instructions on meeting place. Remote support is responsive if you have any questions. Mike drove us around. Had to detour on way home but handled it like a pro.
Meredith took our group on a space journey. Her dad worked on the LEM, a special connection. Passionate guide. Lots to cover and pace picked up as weather was turning bad. Got the essentials covered and seen before moving on to the mission control tour. That was pretty special to see. Had to leave sooner than planned so we didn't get rained in. Grateful we made it as that tour was cancelled the day before due to weather.
Did have a little misunderstanding about joining the tram tour to MC but Viator support and SCH guest services sorted it. We were driven in a van to join the group and arrived just as the presentation started. All was good in the end..
Highly recommend this tour, there are a few variables that can influence your day but just go with the flow, relax and take it ALL in. An incredible visit was had and we left tired but so thrilled to have seen such incredible bravery and sacrifice that paved the way to humanities return to the moon and beyond. We have other Viator tours booked on this trip including Cape Canaveral. Can't wait.

For families with children, please be considerate of other tour group members. The departure does not get held up for you. You do not disrupt an active presentation by NOT listening to instructions and have an entitled attitude "I have children" . DO NOT walk ahead of the guide, it's why it's called a guided tour!! If this is YOU, a group tour is NOT for you! Today was disrupted by a selfish family of 5 on several occasions. Despite this the guides remained professional and accommodating under trying circumstances. Well done overall to Viator and SCH. Thank you for a wonderful day!!!
Transportation to the space center was on time there and back and was organized. So much history and so much to see at the Space Center. Meredith, our guide was very informative and helpful.
We experienced bad weather and weren’t able to view many of the sights included with our ticket. However, Meredith the guide more than made up for what we weren’t able to see. She was fantastic! Really knowledgeable, made the experience enjoyable, and her connections to NASA were fascinating. Mike, our driver, was also excellent.
Meredith was a fantastic tour guide and helped make our NASA trip an informative and fun one! Would strongly recommend taking the tour with her.
Our guide was polite, but I felt inexperienced in addressing and controlling a large group. It was difficult to hear what she was saying at times during the tour. It would help if a microphone and ear pieces were used. Perhaps these devices are banned at the Space Centre as no one was using them?
As the weather was poor the outdoor exhibits and tour was cancelled. The tour guide appeared to be disorganised and unsure of what to do. People spent a lot of time standing around doing nothing. I would think that you would have a back up plan, appreciate that the weather is out of your control but that is not a good excuse. It was a waste of half a day really. I actually think there should be a refund.
My family and I are very disappointed with this tour. We paid $300 for this experience, and we could have had the same experience by visiting the space center without a guide (likely a better experience as we would have time to read the plaques and learn from the exhibits rather than follow our guide around and wait to see if he would provide relevant information). While very pleasant, our guide Eddie did not provide a comprehensive learning experience. He gave only superficial information with multiple flaws and inaccuracies. It felt poorly planned and he was difficult to follow. It felt more like an elementary school tour. Also, we waited an hour in the food court while he tried to get us tickets for the tram tour (which was kind of him to wait for us), though this should have been pre booked due to the price of the tour. We were also unable to access the training facility tour.
I would suggest you attend on your own. I have booked tours with Viator in the past that were at a much higher level than was provided with this experience.
Other than that, our tour was on time and our driver Mike was excellent. It was well organized up until we entered the space center.
We were on time! When we arrived at NASA, the tour expert was a woman to take over guide tour. She said something shortly about reservation for group, but she did not go at the end of line or count people in the group or check if everybody in the group was there. She ended up left me & my daughter behind. She did not forget her coffee or smoothie drink but she left us out of the group!!! I took a lot of tours in New York, Montreal-Quebec, none of the tour guide left us as we were always on time. The security just took a lil longer to check my bag, and she did not wait for us extra 2 minutes??!! (There was a family the husband was late 10 minutes before the shuttle left, and they waited for him!!!) Everybody else in the group got to experience campus tour except 2 of us. Luckily, I located 2 guys from our group and they showed us email they received about tour details, so I knew we supposed to leave by 3pm. I did not receive email about tour details. Never never book tour with this company!!! For NASA, Houston city pass & Lyft or Uber drive would be cheaper than this company!!!
If you love space exploration, you will love this tour and the guide, Meredith, who has a lifetime of knowledge about NASA. You will not have time to see everything on the tour so plan an extra day to walk through the exhibits at your own pace.
Lots of things to see and do. Take time to see an astronaut speak and go to rocket park. Space exploration is fascinating from a lot of different angles. Merideth was our tour guide and she was very amazing and passionate about her family legacy at the Space Center.

We had an amazing experience. Vanessa is a fabulous tour guide and our driver went out of his way to get us back in time to so we could walk to the stadium to watch the Astros/Yankees game
This was a very well organized tour. Had a driver take you to the space center within had a guide to take you through. There's a lot to see and do and for your first visit it's great to have a guide. They will know things like whether there's an astronaut giving a talk that day and making sure you get there on time. I would highly recommend this trip as well as this company.

Quite a bit of walking although there is a tram that takes you to various locations on the space campus, there’s still quite a bit of walking depending on what you want to see. We learned so much about the history of space exploration and the people involved. Our tour guide had inside knowledge as her father worked at the space center for 37 years! I feel I need to return as there is SO much to look at, read, watch, and one day wasn’t enough!
Fantastic tour couldn’t fault anything. We would have missed loads without this tour so very grateful.

It was great, very interesting .The tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. A local asked me how we booked the tour. Sometimes you don't know what is in your backyard.
It's a must do with guide! Our guide Victor, was exceptional. Really enjoyed it. The other lady guides also made the experience great.
I thought it was a great tour worthy the cost. I chose the guided option and Meredith , our guide , was truly great. From the moment we jumped on the bus she started to give us information and history so she made even the ride very interesting. She knew a whole lot about it and i truly belive is a tour to be done while in Houston.
Really great and informative lots of information given and all questions answered. Meredith with her inside knowledge gave us a lot of information that we probably would not have seen or heard of. It was a great day out with plenty of time to do all we wanted.

This was such a fun experience. Although it rained hard during the excursion, Vanessa still did her best to make it enjoyable. We got to see some nice areas around downtown Houston and some excellent recommendations were made for further exploration and dining. Vanessa was awesome.
