The tour operator cancelled 30 minutes prior to tour time after we’d spent $65 on an Uber to get to the meeting point, then had to spend another $65 to get back to hotel. They knew we were travelling in from about an hour outside of Houston city. They said they had to cancel due to heavy rain and flooding & that electric cars can’t go out but when we got there, no rain, no flooding and ground was completely dry. Even travelling into the city there wasn’t any rain either. Sadly, not the best experience as the Uber’s cost more than the tour ticket price that we didn’t even get to do.

Don't expect what you see in advertisements. Your ride consist of riding around about 4 to 5 blocks downtown, we thought we were seeing muriels, but they said that was a separate tour. Then, "the old oak tree, which was also the linching tree" tour guides statement. Then the Gulf of America, so needless to say, I would never do it again, and advised you to save your money.

Well not all tours are for all people. The vehicles we use are golf carts and Polaris GEMS, not the vans that you stated you saw on our websites. If you looked carefully at the pictures and written text, you will not find vans mentioned. Yes we have a mural tour, but your group booked the sightseeing tour. The tour covers way more than 4-5 city blocks as we discuss the multiple districts, buildings, timelines and, yes, history of the city all in an hour and 15 minute tour. Not sure what you are referring to regarding the Gulf of America, however, rain water from Houston DOES make its way down the bayou to the ship channel to Galveston Bay to the Gulf of America.
We are so sorry that you had an unpleasant experience, but we do pride ourselves in the amazing tours we deliver. I believe the abundance of previous reviews attest to that.

The guide was great. Even though it was a sunny day, I was glad I had brought a jacket as it did get a tad windy in the golf cart.

Marna was an absolutely fantastic tour guide! We loved having an open air golf cart to ride in the city. She explained the history, drove by all of the popular spots, even took photos for us! I live in the area and worked downtown a long time ago. It was so interesting to see the changes and improvements downtown. This tour far exceeded our expectations! It was fun and informative. The host and hostess were superb and sensitive to the needs of my 90 year old mother. :) Since my mom has a hard time walking, this was a great way for her to sit and enjoy the city she once knew well. It was nostalgic and a perfect gift for an elderly Houstonian.

This cart ride through the city was amazing! Our driver Robbie, was so fun, informative, knowledgeable, you could just tell how proud he is of his city. There is so much history in Houston. We can’t wait to come back and visit the places Robbie pointed out!

Marna took us in her flatbed truck as the electric car was under repair. She was very knowledgeable about the sport and community of the city. Unfortunately Huston has NOT preserved its history and money has just build modern stuff over most of it. We did like the street art though.

A wonderful tour of downtown Houston, learning its history. Viewed historic buildings and current residents of commercial buildings.
Visited 911 memorial and heard about a resident who was on flight 93.
Guides answered all my questions and pointed out places to eat.

Best way to get to know history of building s in Houston downtown. Fun and entertaining, very knowledgeable guide. Strongly recommend to all who visit or have out of town visitors. Way better than see buildings from your car

The tour guides were very friendly and welcoming! They picked us up from our hotel in their adorable cart and explained everything worth seeing in downtown Houston & surrounding areas. Though the tour lasted about 2 hours, we left feeling like we knew more of what we were likely to see during our stay than had we not done it at all. We only had one qualm, that being the lack of a microphone. Although we sat directly behind them, a mic would have enhanced the experience. Overall, a fun experience with stops along the way, photo opportunities, restaurant recommendations and good company!
Last suggestion: Offer “family” as an option aside from teenagers & children. Perhaps a Viator issue… but 2 adults can have fun too!

Pretty fun ride and knowledgable driver. We learned a lot of Houston history. At the end of the tour he asked us about conspiracy theories that the office buildings extend deep underground with secret basement floors. Lol
