You will be outside for may 15 minutes of the tour as you are observing the exterior. Also, there is a lot of standing. Although, the tour now includes various chairs set up for visitors who need to sit. Only specific chairs which are obvious are for visitors. Stay with your tour guide to get the full benefit, these tour guides know there stuff. We had Pretty and she was absolutely wonderful.

    Robie House tour

    Jim_M, Dec 2025
It was very informative. I learned a lot about Frank Lloyd Wright and how his designs blend inside and outside elements. Also about the history of Robie House and how it almost demolished but was saved.

    Poor website info

    Larry_W, Nov 2025
Your website did not alert me to the fact that we had to be at the Rob house at certain hours. We got there at 4 o’clock thinking we could just tour the place. We ended up having to spend $150 to get a tour as the only option. I would like a refund. Your website did not alert us to any of these problems.

    Frank Lloyd Wright masterpiece

It was very informative and a wonderful experience. I enjoyed it very much. The house is beautiful!!

wonderful Robie house but great difficulties with Viator

    Rosalind_C, Oct 2025
Seeing the Frank Lloyd Wright house was marvelous! Getting the tickets through Viator, however, was bewildering, and when we finally came to the house we discovered that, though I had paid on line, we had only gone through half of the booking process and therefore no longer had reserved places. The people were very kind and accommodating, however, and managed to get us in.

    Robie House

Seeing inside the Robie House was truly interesting! Tour guide did a great job! The surrounding area is very nice, too!

    Great tour!

A perfect way to know Wright’s work and genius. The tour guide was so good and made the home a personal experience for us.

    Horrible Customer Service

    Thomas_H, Jul 2025
Viator is only in it for the money. Customer service is horrible providing no help whatsoever and doesn't return messages or calls.

A man ahead of his time. ####

    Al_H, Jul 2025
Mary, our tour guide was well versed on the subject matter, she kept the tour interesting and answered our questions

    Well worth a visit!

    William_M, Apr 2025
Excellent guided tour of one of Frank Lloyd Wright's classic homes. This home has a rich history and has been lovingly restored.

    Prairie Style Gem

    Mark_R, Apr 2025
The venue had trouble recognizing the Viator reservation. I am not sure they were ever able to find it.

    Awesome!

    Gary_M, Feb 2025
In the Frank Lloyd Wright tradition this house is awesome. Lots of wood which is always welcoming. Very interesting how he did the brick in the main fireplace. Pleases an architecture buff.

    Fascinating slice of architectural history

    Pat_P, Jan 2025
There is such an insightful story that can be told about Frank Lloyd Wright's ideas by this house and it's an absolute treat to hear it while walking through it. The staff are super friendly and helpful too! Ask about the self-guided neighborhood walking tour too! These are a great way to start your day before heading to the Museum of Science and Industry for more learning!

    Wrong Wright Home

    Russ_L, Dec 2024
Tickets issued to me were for the FLW house in Illinois NOT the home in Florida where we were. We had to purchase a limited tour of the home in Florida at the site because the tickets issued by Viator were not valid

    Dissapointing

    Susan_C, Oct 2024
I phoned a few times to try and arrange a tour but only got an answer machine. L(eft a message but they never called back so in the end we chose not to go as public transport was not easy. Shame!

    Great guide and awesome...

    Maureen_W, Sep 2024
Great guide and awesome tour . Staff very helpful. Nice coffee shop next door. Get there early to book a slot as tours are limited by size and Viator site does not Really point that out well.

    Its a nice experinces

Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Docent was knowledgeable and very informative. The property was amazingly preserved. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

Wow - Oh, Did I say wow?

    James_C, Jul 2024
One of the best tours I have taken anywhere. The seating is comfortable, the water is calm, the tour guide was funny and informative. There is no other way to see downtown Chicago. An hour and a half of amazement and information. If you have the opportunity, do it!

    Robie House

    Julie_D, Jul 2024
Really enjoyed the tour! I leaned so much about Frank Lloyd Wright and the history of the Robie House. Fantastic gift shop. I spent quite a bit of time there. It was confusing as I wasn’t aware you had to schedule a tour time after you bought tickets. The website could be clearer.

Robie House is a must see!

    Michael_H, Jul 2024
The entire experience from checking in, the tour and purchasing from the gift shop was wonderful! What a beautiful home, explanation of the homes history, Frank Lloyd Wright, and surrounding area was fascinating! The tour guide, Preety, was amazing! All our booking experiences through Viator have been awesome and worry free!

Must go, but not buying again through Viator

    Josiane_S, Jun 2024
Viator should have a better way to scan tickets, our tickets were not on the system for all the attractions during our sstaying.

    The tour operator was...

    Christina_H, Oct 2023
The tour operator was wonderful. We have used Viator before. BUT this time we were lucky to be able to take the tour. Viator did NOT explain to us that we needed to request a tour time with the Robie house. We were there at 10 a m and fortunately they had two spaces available for the 2 p m tour ( if they had no availability we would have just been out of luck). This is something Viator needs to explain to purchasers when they make their purchase

Worth the trip to this iconic house designed by FLW.

    Percival_M, Oct 2023
The house is beautifully designed. One of the most iconic designs by Frank Lloyd Wright. Our guide Bryan is exceptional. He's very knowledgeable about the house, the architect and the original owner of this remarkable house.
