Our tour guide (Kawika) was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, kept us moving and there wasn’t excessive downtime. He even had time to show us around the parks in Hilo. Highly recommend. Also, would recommend doing this tour at the beginning of the trip.

Best activity of this trip. Friends said this was a must do experience and they were all right. It was awesome. The most amazing lazy river down a mountain ever. The 36' plunge, wait 36" plunge was awesome!
Grant was amazing!! So much fun and learned a lot!! Lot to see on the island and this a great way to get started.

This tour was a great opportunity to see Hawaii away from the lens of the resorts. Our guide Kawika’s pride and knowledge of Hawaii’s history and culture was infectious and kept us engaged throughout the tour. I thought our kids would get antsy with the sheer length of the tour but Kawika did such a good job facilitating it that we didn’t feel the full timeframe. Our kids were fascinated by the steam vents and lava tube at Volcano National Park while my husband enjoyed hanging out in Hilo and seeing the waterfall. We wish we had more time on the trip to do more exploration. We would recommend Kailani Tours and Kawika in particular to anyone wanting to tour the Big Island.
What a great experience. We covered the whole island in good time and in comfort. The tour wasn’t crowded so you were able to get to know the other guests as well. Derrick was the greatest tour guide, very kind, attentive, and accommodating to all of his guests. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We did this tour our first day on the Big Island. This gave us a great overview of the island and also the distance/time it takes to get around. I was pleased with the lunch option at the Volcano House. The other stops were informative but really designed for tourists who want to purchase items.
Driver, Brian I think, was accommodating, informative, and charming. We did everything he promised including several entertaining sea turtles at Black Sand and great recommendations for coffee at the farm, candy at the store, and a great local eatery after he dropped us off. A wonderful tour that taught us what we want to seek out in our future travels to Big Island. We’re grateful for Derek’s expertise and for such an intriguing place to explore.
Our guide Emmanuel is punctual, dedicated and friendly. The tour contains Kona coffee farm, Hawaii donut shop, candy shop, winery etc. and we have lunch at volcano house with beautiful view. You will have enough drinks and food all the long way. It’s good for family especially for kids and seniors who don’t want to drive themselves and hard core hiking but also want to see everywhere around the island.

The tour was great. I like the Green Farm Coffee tour, the malasada, Volcano, Lava Tube and the Rainbow Falls. The Tour Guide was Great. Knowledgeable. i learn a lot from him. I think his name is Chris. It was amazing experience.
Spectacular tour. Our tour guide Kawini (?) was exceptional!! He was born and raised on The Big Islsnd and was extremely knowledgeable about its history which he shared in detail and his passion for his home was evident by his presentation. We enjoyed the many stops along the way as we ventured to the volcano. It was so nice to leave the driving to someone else so we could enjoy the wonderful views. I would highly recommend this tour.

We had a wonderful time on our around the island tour of Hawaii. Our guide Audra was fantastic and provided us with many stories of the Hawaiian legends. Having grown up on the Island she was very knowledgeable and made the experience that much better! We really enjoyed all the places we visited and sampling the local cuisine, Kona Coffee and treats! We would highly recommend this tour!
The views. The different places we were taken. The wonderful history our guide provided. He was very friendly and professional. We will definitely recommend the tour to our friends and family.
The day was amazing and covered so many aspects of the island and its’ history. Our tour guide, Kāwala, was stellar. The only disappointment was the lunch meal. I wouldn’t let that stop me from doing the tour again.
This was an excellent tour. The tour guide I believe his name was Tom also is the business owner of the Hawaiian Volcano Sea Salt company. He was very informative and very personable. Would highly recommend this tour.
This was an awesome tour. We were able to see so much of the island. Dave was excellent guide, and the two families that were with us made the trip even more enjoyable!!
There was only four people on our tour which made it very intimate. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and fun. The van was clean and comfortable. The sites were amazing. We were first time visitors to Hawaii and this was a great way to spend a day. No driving😀!
Chris was an incredible tour guide! Incredibly knowledgeable. It seemed there wasn’t a thing about the island that he didn’t know. Every stop offered a diverse experience. The turtles on the black sand beach and banyan tree stops were unforgettable! My husband and I had a wonderful time on the tour. Thanks for the 10/10 experience!
Pick up was within the 10 minute window & convenient to our condo. Lunch at Lava House was excellent. The tofu option did not disappoint our vegetarian guest. We had some first time visitors, so this was a good way to view a good portion of the island. Our guide, David, was a walking encyclopedia of Hawaii knowledge. Thoroughly enjoyable tour.
Our tour guide Doug was fantastic. He picked us up on time, shared knowledge of Hawaii, and showed patience through out the entire tour. Highly recommend!

I loved it all. Ridge our tour guide was fantastic. We covered so much. It was great to have someone else worry about the driving and parking. Lunch at Volcano House was really good. The lava tunnel was cool. Enjoyed also seeing Hilo and the waterfalls.
Great tour, the guide had some great knowledge of the island. I would recommend it to anyone. Pick up and drop off was just outside the hotel. Guide had a genuine desire for us all to have a good time and to experience Hawaii.
Chris was an awesome guide, very informative and fun. Seeing the turtles up close on Black Sand Beach was really cool. Volcano National Park and Rainbow Falls were my two favorite spots. Highly recommend this tour, especially if you have limited time on the island. I will definitely be back as I discovered so many spots I want to further explore during our drive.
