What are people saying about San Francisco

The tour guide was very...
The tour guide was very informative as we drove through San Francisco neighborhoods. The stop at the Golden Gate Bridge gave you time to take pictures from a good vantage point. Muir Woods was fantastic and depending on what trail you took you could find some quiet and enjoy being surrounded by these majestic trees and the sound of nature. The tour guides were prompt and on time. Roger was great! He was energetic and creative with his play list that matched the locations were driving through. It made the driving go faster and was very entertaining at the same timeHis jokes were kind of like dad jokes which made me laugh a little bit harder.
I would have given 5 stars but I felt the buses were dated and could use an upgrade. Ours actually had a good size dent/scrape in the side of it. The windows should be washed a little better as well to enhance the picture taking from inside the bus.

Fun Times in the City
The Zeromax car was so cute and fun to ride in. The GPS feature added to the tour with seeing the top attractions. I would suggest doing the whole day tour because we ended up extending ours for a couple more hours because it was just that fun. I would highly recommend this tour.

Best Tour by far
Perfect overview of SF and what to do later in more depth. Toured many neighborhoods with lots to see. Guide had lots of information, recommendations and answers to questions. Small tours like this much better than large tours with everyone running around lost. Highly recommend.

Interesting!
The Woods were magical! Our tour guide, Ben, gave us good information about the areas we’re traveling through along the way. The stops at the Bridge were great photo opts! The length of time spent in each area was just enough. Ben gave recommendations in Sausalito. He was helpful and fun, despite having some interesting characters in our group. 😉 Thanks Ben for a good experience!

Perfect tour for my kids and I
The tour guide Alex was fun and informative! Taught us a lot about the history of San Francisco. He also went out of his way to help my son who left his phone behind 🤦🏻♀️
It was a perfect way to hit many spots we wanted to see without having to drive, park and find our way.

Good Fun for All :)
We had a great time cruising around the city with Matt! Daisy was an incredible bus and so fun to ride around in! Fun historical tidbits with good music, a pleasant group all around, and a chance to see so much more than on foot. Thanks again, Matt, for the trip!
Don’t think twice, just book it.

This was one of the high lists of our trip to San Fran! An hour and a half was just the right amount of time to spend sailing around the bay and taking the sights. The crew was incredible. They were friendly, engaging and passionate about San Francisco area. They took the time to talk with everyone, answer questions, and share their knowledge of the bay. They were wonderful hosts and really made sure everyone had a great time. Highly recommend this experience!

What a fun tour. It had a...
What a fun tour. It had a well planned out route, and we saw so much of the city. Our guide was informative and entertaining throughout. The 60's theme was especially interesting and fun.
Our only complaint was that we missed our first scheduled tour by literally 5 minutes. The van was pulling away as we drove up looking for parking. We tried calling both the tour company and Viator to say we were there but couldn't get ahold of anyone.
Wished we would have received a call to check on our status.
When we were finally able to reach Viator were
were told if we wanted to join a later tour we'd need to pay again.
We ended up for the tour the following morning and paying again. A bummer, but still a really fun tour.

Make sure you get some...
Make sure you get some comfortable shoes and some bottles of water are available. We were quite lucky with the weather but you can take a fleece or jacket with you and leave in the van. There are loads of photograph opportunity and Peter knows the best spots.

Hugh trees!
We booked a Muir Woods and Sausalito trip with Gray Line. Our tour guide( I believe his name was Richard) was excellent. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He was an great driver, some of those hairpin turns were very tight! The Muir woods was amazing! The redwoods are huge! Sausalito was a cute little water front town and we had some delicious tacos at a place called Copita. I would highly recommend this tour!

Girls Trip
My girlfriends and I had a great experience. It was misty in the city but once we got into the valley it gorgeous weather. Each vineyard and winery were special in their own way. Our last winery was at Madonna Estate Winery which was beautiful, warm and inviting. The size of our group and the smaller size tasting room felt claustrophobic. Otherwise an amazing experience and the perfect way to kick off the vacation!

Great time, perfect for restless kids, windy take coat
Goes fast but just the right time with restless kids. Took my 13&16yr old. Three level boat. Top windy but lots of benches to sit (many non English speaking people tried to reserve a few benches for themselves. We just sat down anyhow and ignored the hand waves). But honestly it doesn’t matter because once the boat starts moving everyone stands and looks around and seats open up. They only sell beer, white claw, pop, and snacks only on the bottom level. The white claws they offered were THE BIG ones. $10. All the levels have bench seats with backs to them. The bottom level and second level is all enclosed seating. The speaking of the history part is all automated by speakers. I found it to be very clear but harder to hear on top deck due to wind. Temp today Sept 1, was 70 ,and my teen boys were chilly up top but I liked it. Most people brought light jackets. The beginning and end was windy but near Alcatraz it got substantially less windy probably due to the terrain. The Boat gets very close to Alcatraz which was cool and made for good pics. At the end I didn’t see anyone taking tips or a tip jar out for tips which was also VERY nice because this town is tip happy. It’s WILD. I would do it again. Great time. We did the 530p tour which made it nice for pics as the sun was coming down

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Of all the San Francisco bus tours, the “love” tours that zip around the city from the Painted Ladies Victorian homes to the Twin Peaks viewpoint in Volkswagen vans might be the most fun. If these offbeat treks are a bit granola for you, other bus tours are convenient for exploring the city and surrounding areas in comfort. Hop-on hop-off bus tours offer ultimate flexibility and freedom, while guided coach tours travel to Muir Woods and even as far as Yosemite National Park and the Monterey and Carmel area.
