Our guide was very knowledgeable about San Francisco. We saw several neighborhoods, had great stop at Golden Gate Bridge. Muir Woods was jaw dropping! Excellent small group tour! Alcatraz is an excellent national park experience.

First off, the communication from the tour agency was exceptional(we had a hiccup with ticket scheduling for our ferry ride to Alcatraz, and the agency handled that issue for us day of). Our tour guide, Per, was very punctual, knowledgeable, and very inviting with our group. Would 10/10 recommend the tour, we hit almost all of San Francisco in 4 hours!!! Great pricing as well!!! Thank you Per!!!

Your day will end at Pier 33, which is about a 15 minute walk away from Dylan's Tours Shop. This is where we will drop you off so you can take the ferry to Alcatraz Island and do your tour at your own pace.

Itinerary

Your tour begins in Fisherman's Wharf, where you meet your guide for a drive around San Francisco. Over the course of the day, you get a look at the city's diverse neighborhoods and geography, stopping at several locations where you can hop off the bus to take photos and look around a bit.

After your city tour, enjoy a walk through the massive redwood trees in Muir Woods. Then, enjoy a drive through the quaint town of Sausalito for lunch.

If you've upgraded to the full-day tour, head back to the city and board a ferry from Pier 33 for the ride across the bay to Alcatraz Island, home to the former prison of the same name. Enjoy the prison's fascinating audio tour as you explore the cellblock.

Both tours end back at Pier 33.

Great tour and tour guide. Mark was very knowledgeable about all things San Francisco and was very kind. He even did a quiz while on the bus to identify different bands from the bay area. Highly recommend this tour as well as including the visit to alcatraz

Good But Had Issues

Arrived for Alcatraz portion and they couldn't find me on the list. Dylan's Tours said they made a mistake and I would have to purchase $150 in tickets myself and they would reimburse me. They did so quickly but had I not had that extra money on me, I wouldn't have been able to continue with your. Otherwise, Patrick the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We didn't hit all the spots (like chinatown) but it was still fun and informative.

Visiting near Woods was almost a spiritual experience. The silence of the forest was deafening the calm and quiet and beauty of nature said it all it was peaceful and I’m so so glad we went.

Great tour

We came on a cruise and before the tour that was great communication related to meeting point. We were picked up from the cruise terminal instead of the regular meeting point. The tour guide, Jake, also texted us in the morning the meeting point details. Jake had a great attitude, he was fun and friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. Good music also in the van. Muir woods is a beautiful place for a stroll and there was enough time to explore it. Overall great tour.

This was a great time. Patrick was our tour guide and he was super knowledgeable and made the tour upbeat and fun. Along with the knowledge, he also played “music trivia” on the way back from Muir Woods. He kept everyone engaged and I would recommend this tour (especially if you can get Patrick as your tour guide)

We caught the ferry over to Alcatraz in the morning for the first part of our tour. We enjoyed the audio tour. It’s a very interesting place to visit. We met up at 2pm with Patrick for our guided tour around San Francisco and Muir woods. Patrick was very knowledgeable. Full of enthusiasm and great information about everything we saw. We even had a music quiz with chocolate as prizes on the way back which was fun. Would definitely recommend this tour it was great fun.

Comprehensive tour that gave a great overview of San Francisco, Muir Woods and a visit to Alcatraz. The tour guide Per, was very engaging and had excellent knowledge of the area, also liked the way that he blended his playlist to match the tour with artists that had either recorded tracks in the area or had recorded songs that had San Francisco in the title. Muir Wods and Sausalito

Even through rain, the Muir Woods is majestic and amazing! We also had a great city tour and learned a lot about San Francisco and the cultural parts of the city. We chose to get off and spend time in Sausalito-which was fabulous. We spent time visiting with a couple who had lost their home in Palisade a year ago. It was a day to remember!
