Today my husband and I recently took our granddaughters to Shelby Farms Park for a day of horseback riding, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the adventure exceeded our expectations. A special shoutout to our guide, Sage! She was absolutely fantastic with the kids, especially my six-year-old granddaughter. Sage's patience and gentle demeanor put her at ease right away, making her first horseback riding experience a joy. It was heartwarming to see how knowledgeable and passionate she was about the horses; her enthusiasm was infectious! The park itself is beautiful, with well-maintained trails that allowed us to enjoy the stunning surroundings while we rode. The horses were all well-cared for and seemed happy and relaxed, which made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a fun and memorable outing with family, I highly recommend visiting Shelby Farms Park for horseback riding. Thank you, Sage, for making our day truly special – you rock! A Great and Fun Way to Learn about Memphis!

Mary was an excellent tour guide. She was very knowledgeable and had excitement in telling the history of Memphis. Mark was a very nice driver and was very friendly as well. The tour was excellent! It ended with a river cruise which was very relaxing. The gentleman on the cruise gave a lot of information of the surrounding events and areas along the Mississippi River.

Memphis Tour

We had Michelle as our tour guide/driver; she was great! Very comfortable ride, the history of Memphis city was interesting, and we stopped at the Peabody to watch the duck march, it was so cute! We chose the bus and boat tour; so while other passengers went to the Sun Studio, we were dropped at Beale Street to walk around and eat lunch while we waited (I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich and fries at Alfred's.... DELICIOUS!) we were picked up right on time and taken to the riverfront to board the boat. Another fantastic experience on the boat and our MC Lamar(??) was fantastic! We had pictures taken as we boarded, with the opportunity to purchase, and we did. The pictures are framed with a marine theme and worth $15. The boat trip was 1.5 hrs, and Michelle picked us up right on time again and took us back to the information center. The whole day lasted from 8am-4pm and it was a fantastic experience! Our tour was $190 for 2 people, it was definitely worth it 🤗

Michelle the tour guide was very knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. It was great viewing and learning about the history of Memphis through her. It gave me a better appreciation for the city, it's culture and music. My husband and I took the tour with the Peabody ducks and Sun Studios, and before we knew it, the time passed by quickly. I cannot stress enough that everyone needs to take this tour, especially if you have Michelle as your guide. Thank you for making our first visit to Memphis so memorable and enjoyable.

Fun food tour - go hungry!

If you do this food tour, go very hungry! There is a lot of food included in it and it’s a nice variety of food that is representative of Memphis. Taylor was our tour guide and was friendly and knowledgeable about all things Memphis. Also important to note that we had one in our party that has a nut and sesame allergy and one who is a vegetarian and it was no problem to accommodate either of them. This tour is a lot of fun and you can purchase alcohol if you’d like but sodas, teas and water are included. Our tour started at 2:00 and finished around 5:00 and we weren’t hungry again until mid morning the next day! If you’re in Memphis we’d recommend this food tour!

This was an amazing experience, our guide Darnell is just brilliant, has so much knowledge and never makes you feel like you have to rush. Takes you to all the important places and makes sure you get that perfect picture. Took us to Jonnie’s which is where Elvis used to eat and they have the most amazing burgers and you get a chance to sit where Elvis did. Great Learning Experience

Sam, our tour bus driver was AWESOME!! Very knowledgeable, really personable, great driver!! Took us all over and we learned a LOT. Made great recommendations for places to eat. Highly recommended. The land por was awesome. The river boat was really cool. We thought there would be a little more to it. But at least we can say we went on a paddle wheel boat. We will come to Memphis again!!

Excellent tour, weird pitstop.

Excellent tour! was a great narrator. Very informative and upbeat. Princess was an awesome driver and had the patience of a saint in the crazy traffic. The tour provides a free drink stop, which is a perk, but the stop was in a new building and new bar without any stories to tell. I feel like this is a missed opportunity. Finding a more appropriate partner bar, even one adjacent to a story, would connect it to the trip better and not make it seem like an afterthought. Other than that, I do recommend!

Memphis rap bus tour: riding through the city that helped built hip-hop

I didn't know what to expect when I climbed onto the bus. A rap tour of Memphis? I figured it'd be fun — but what I got was something way more powerful than I anticipated. This wasn't just a tour. It was a love letter to a city that the rest of the world has often overlooked, told through the streets, the stories, and the music that came out of them. A few of the artists featured: Yo Gotti GloRilla Young Dolph Our guide, Taylor Nicole, set the tone immediately. She speaks about Memphis rap the way a proud hometown kid should — with knowledge, with heart, and without sugarcoating anything. As we rolled through Orange Mound, one of the oldest African American communities in the country, she connected the dots between the neighborhood's history and the music that grew out of it. You could feel the weight of that. The music playing through the bus speakers while you're literally driving through the streets those artists rapped about — that's a different kind of listening experience. Hearing Young Dolph while rolling through the neighborhoods he called home was genuinely moving. Taylor Nicole's storytelling around him was the emotional high point of the tour for me. She didn't shy away from the reality of his story, and it made everything land harder. "This tour doesn't just tell you about Memphis rap — it shows you where it came from, block by block." Cruising through Castalia and Vollentine added more texture. Each neighborhood has its own identity, and Taylor Nicole did a great job drawing out what made each one distinct — culturally, musically, historically. By the time we wrapped up after 2.5 hours, I felt like I actually understood Memphis in a way I hadn't before. Eye-opening is the only way I can describe it. Whether you're a die-hard Memphis rap fan or just someone curious about the city's culture, this tour is worth every minute. Taylor Nicole is the real deal, and this experience is one I'll be recommending to everyone.
