Casanova wildlife tour

Dayne was a great guide around Lamar Valley. He knew the best places to see wildlife and with his scope we were able to see animals we wouldn't have been able to view otherwise (grizzly bear, mountain goats, coyotes, osprey nest). His recordings enabled us to share those experiences as well.

Fantastic day

We had an amazing day with Justin. He was expertly knowledgeable about the park and wildlife - and more. He has an academic approach to his role as guide. In addition he was safety conscious- with the vehicle as well as making sure we drank enough water at altitude. The itinerary was well-timed for us to get to Old Faithful a few minutes before eruption. Lunch was great - sandwich, fresh fruit, dessert, chips and a filling sandwich. But do bring snacks for the 11 hour day. I would also say that having a guide made parking (drop offs) easier - Justin knew the tricks to getting in/out of crowded stops and we never had to worry about parking. Which might seem like a small thing - it’s not. The park is very full! We saw a bear, coyote, goats and buffalo. Stunning day to introduce a person to the beauty of Yellowstone…

Fantastic Yellowstone Tour !

I had an absolutely amazing time on our Yellowstone tour with Rose. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the park, super friendly and kind , and made the day so much fun for me. We saw all the highlights without feeling rushed and got to spot incredible wildlife through the provided scopes. We saw bison, elk, and omg we spot a bear . Obsidian Expeditions ran a top class tour providing everything from breakfast to picnic lunch , comfortable transportation with a SUV, making the entire day unforgettable . Rose truly is exceptional. Highly recommend!

Awesome tour!

Dave was an excellent tour guide! His knowledge, kindness, and love for the parks and all its inhabitants was super cool! He got us to Old Faithful with 10 minutes to spare - which is a big deal, otherwise we could’ve been waiting 90+ minutes for the next eruption! He shared so much history as well as current happenings as we traveled to each spot. He allowed ample time to explore, take pics, and ask questions along the way. He also showed us some of his favorite hidden gems which was really neat. The massive bison walking next to our bus was the perfect ending to an amazing tour!

This was a great experience! Kyle’s knowledge of the area and animals of the park made the trip interesting. He tailored the tour to try to find the animals we were most interested in. The tour was a good pace and we never felt rushed. We could stay as long or as little at a stop depending on what decided to make an appearance. We highly recommend Kyle and his tour!

James is an AMAZING guide, he is extremely knowledgeable about so many things in the park. His driving was smooth. He knew the best places to see, and timing was impeccable! He planned bathroom and lunch breaks at perfect times! He accommodated our requests for animals we wanted to see! He set up a spotter scope so we could get great views of Grizzly Bears! Great tour to see animals in non-touristy areas

This was a great tour. They picked us up from our hotel. Felt very safe. We saw bears, bison, mountain goats, a coyote, ground squirrels, ospreys, cranes and more in the Lamar valley and mammoth regions. This was a great tour to do for our 2nd day in Yellowstone as on the 1st day we did all the touristy attractions. Lunch was provided and great and also included a nice bag of snacks.
