Despite limitations, sailing is best

It is wonderful to go on a sailing as opposed to motor tour, granted we were only able to beam reach for a short interval, the wind conditions not suitable for a tour with an itinerary and a time schedule, just to watch the crew actually SAIL the vessel was a real treat for someone whose experience of sailing is mainly limited to Sunfish and the like on inland waters. The crew were kind and charming; they certainly were enthusiastic about setting up the bar, I only wish my age and medical condition allowed me to thus gain further enjoyment from the journey. I only wish we could have seen more houses, but obviously we had a timetable, and were mostly becalmed throughout. Nevertheless I do not regret sailing at all--there is something magical about being on the water with no sound but that of the wind and waves, a timeless realm that disappears once the engine starts.

Wonderful Sunset Sail

The sunset sail on the Adirondack was amazing. The crew was incredibly skilled. Charlie, Piper, Steven (Stephen?), and Tristin were all fantastic. They were welcoming helpful and funny. I highly recommend this activity to anyone traveling to the area or even for locals. It’s so beautiful. Also they give drinks!!

A great evening in Newport!

Guide was funny and had very interesting stories of the sights (special houses & yachts) we saw. The sunset was gorgeous. I cannot even begin to describe how yummy the mudslide was! The sunset champagne toast was a nice touch. Boat was comfortable and the upper level offered great views. I HIGHLY recommend this excursion!!! Have fun!

Great Boat Tour

This trip was awesome. It was a beautiful day and the service was excellent. The crew was great and the guide was amazing. Adding humor to the historical events made the tour that much more interesting. Myself and my family enjoyed this boat tour immensely. Even fellow passengers mentioned that on past tour on this boat were a lot of fun and return to this tour often. My daughter and I went on the 7:30 PM sunset cruise on July 3 and had a wonderful experience. We got beautiful shots of sunset and sailboats while enjoying a seven dollar cocktail Way cheaper than New York and New Jersey prices! The crew members were very friendly and overall a great experience.

Had a great time!

The boat only goes fast for a few minutes so you’re only cold then. We loved the stories about who owns the fancy boats and how much they’re worth! And the educational info about the hurricane. It was the perfect amount of time too, not too long but didn’t feel short either. I think my favorite part was learning about Ida!! Such a heroine!

Comfortable, enjoyable and informative

It was very entertaining and informative about both Newport 's role in the development of America as an independent country as well as some of the more known politicians and businesses that supported Rhode Island. The driver was enthusiastic and funny even explaining the origin of the baseball field across the street . Rhode Island's military history and importance was a surprise. The trolley was comfortable and not so big that you felt lost. I think people need to know that picture taking along the ride was pretty impossible. But that actually helped you pay more attention to the stories!

I can't rave about our time with Gansett enough! The staff was super friendly from David, to the captain to our awesome bartender Bella! Though the weather wasn't ideal for spring, the tour was super enjoyable and the views were beautiful. Drinks and chocolate chips cookies were top notch. :) I would definitely recommend and hope to come back during the summer months.

Great morning on the Narragansett

Really fun and informative cruise. Miles and the crew were incredibly nice and professional. The weather was great and the took us in a great ride around the Narragansett bay. My wife and I had a generous Prosecco pour and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The crew was funny and professional. Told us about Newport history and gave us great lunch recommendations. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a morning boat ride.

Great boat tour of Newport!

Viator was a safe and easy ticketing experience. Check in was simple- just had to give my name at the departure point kiosk. What an amazing cruise around Newport! Fabulous weather, comfortable aboard ship on top deck, and a great narrator told us highlights of the sights. Waiter service offered drinks too. Would do this again. Loved it! We even got to see the ocean liner, Queen Mary2. In the harbor!
