A Must Do on the Big Island!

Although this was a long day, it did not feel long as there was many stops. Also, if you are lucky enough to get Melvin as your guide, count your blessings. This man knows more about the history of this area and the science behind the development and eruption of the volcanoes then many professional geologist that I have met. He loves to be fact, checked as he is right 99.9% of the time.

Go with a tour group and not on your own!

James was fantastic. He took such good care of us and went above and beyond to make sure that our experience was memorable. The photos were incredible! Definitely book this tour!! Go with a group and not drive yourself. The road to the top is scary, let the professionals handle it! And as part of this tour you have someone else taking professional quality photos in addition to the ones you're taking.

Exceptional volcanic experience.

Animal was very informative. He was very informative, there was never a dull moment on that bus, and he was also a stand up comedian, even though he was sitting down driving, he always had a funny joke always on hand with a funny joke. And made you laugh. We would definitely look for him. As a guide on our next trip and we always would use viator whenever possible.

Stunning views and so many stars!!!

This was a great tour experience to visit Mauna Kea, we were able to learn a lot of history while also seeing stunning views of sunset and more stars than I thought possible. Getting the telescopic photo with the milky way in the background was a huge win! Our guides Chris and Cade did a great job!

The safest, best-run tour of our trip

My mom and I took the Atlantis Submarine in Kona, and she absolutely loved it. Through the portholes we saw shipwrecks that have become artificial reefs and plenty of fish, including yellow tang, parrotfish, and eels. It's a great way to see what's under the ocean without getting wet. What impressed me most was how seriously they take safety. On the shuttle boat out to the submarine, the crew gave a life jacket demonstration, and at least four staff members helped everyone get in and out of the submarine safely. It was the most well-executed, safety-focused tour of our whole trip. I'd recommend it to anyone, and especially to families traveling with older parents.

Awesome experience

We loved this experience from start to finish. Wilson was our guide and he was super nice, friendly and knowledgeable. We appreciated all the facts he provided. The views are amazing. Definitely bring layers since it is cold on the top of the summit! Incredible views of the sunset and after sunset you go to a private place to view stars and drink hot cocoa. Would recommend!

Wonderful Experience!

Kona Chris was a fantastic tour guide and very knowledgeable about the island. We saw many highlights without having to navigate it ourselves. We just looked out the windows, marveled at the beauty, laughed at Chris’s commentary, ate snacks, and got out at the stopping points and took our pics. I can’t believe all that we did in one day. Take the tour!

Must Do!

If you are worried about it being in the ocean at night I promise it isn’t bad. The light that attracts the plankton is bright and you can see the ocean floor. If you are thinking about recording I would suggest something that attaches to your head. Two hands on the lights will help keep you from being pushed all over from the waves. This was seriously the most amazing thing I have ever done. I couldn’t recommend it more. The staff was super knowledgeable and made me feel safe as well. I will be doing this again.

This was an incredible experience from start to finish. The captain and crew made sure there were mantas in the area before dropping anchor, and it paid off. We saw so many mantas, and they came astonishingly close. At one point one glided by just an inch or two from us! The boat is large and stable, which is great news for anyone prone to seasickness. The crew also kept us comfortable with ice-cold water and Sprite, plus snacks like chips and energy bars to refuel after we got out of the water. We'll definitely book this tour again on our next trip to the Big Island. Highly recommend!

This was even better than the great reviews. You need to do it to understand- words don’t do justice. Colby and the dive crew made sure we were both safe and had a great time. Very professional with excellent equipment! My wife was hesitant to go, but it was a top highlight of our Kona visit. Highly recommend!

Amazing first ever helicopter ride

The safari helicopter crew were friendly and very helpful. Our pilot Andrew is very experienced and our flight was very smooth. We were all first time helicopter fliers, so were very nervous but it wasn’t scary at all. He shared lots of fun information about Hawaii and showed us amazing views. One recommendation about the time slot, pick an earlier time if you can. We went around noon and it was really hot even though the helicopter was climate controlled.
