Exceptional Star Gazing Tour

I wanted to view the stars from Mauna Kea for more than 20 years, since my 1st visit to the Big Island. I found this tour and read a lot of reviews and booked it because of the care they took for the visitors comfort, providing pants and gloves, as well as parkas. James truly treated us like family and was very knowledgeable of the island, history, and star constellations. We made several stops along the route to acclimate and visit sites, as well as take photos for ourselves or have them taken. The tour included most amazing star gazing one. The only detractor would be the dinner, a blt sandwich that was well made but not a healthy option. Water and hot cocoa were provided.

Wonderful Experience with the Best Guide & Crew!

It was much more comfortable than expected. Being in a confined space is difficult for me. The air conditioning and seat spacing made it a wonderful experience. Steve our narrator was awesome. I would highly recommend this once in a lifetime adventure.

Volcano — Big island

Our guide was Mel. He picked us up at our resort and I was happy when he was on the dot (time) for our pick up! Our excursion was in a nice size small and comfortable bus. He took a route…thoughtfully picking up the next guests at their hotels and some had flown in and he did the pickup at the airport. Our stops were carefully planned to enhance our excursion including a wonderful lunch spot. We were lucky that day to see an active volcano and a flow from several stops and vantage points. Mel explained in detail many things we should be aware of and details about the history of the island and the areas we stopped at. We felt safe with his driving and because he was thoughtful about time we always had enough time at each stop but he also made us aware of time at each stop to ensure getting us back to our accommodations as smoothly and on time. We were very pleased with our tour in all respects. Thank you, MEL, for a memorable experience. We think Viator is the best on all excursions that we’ve used. Sincerely, Greg and Wanda

Volcano National Park

What an amazing trip. Our guide Hannibal did a great job explaining the island the volcano and everything Hawaii we went to the crater and was able to see recent activity. The steam vents were fun and warm. We had a great time walking the lava tube. This is a trip I would recommend to anyone. Thank you Hannibal for making this tour memorable!!

The guide was knowledgeable, friendly and funny! Overall awesome experience! The mantas weren't really coming by us so the guide improvised and brought us next to the other boat where all the mantas were and it was absolutely epic!! He made sure we got to see the mantas up close and personal :)

What a great tour!

We had Kerry as our tour guide and he was great. We learn history and toured the volcano, sea turtles, waterfalls and many other beautiful sights. Kerry was informative and took great care of the 13 person tour group keeping us fed and hydrated. The small group made it more of a personalized tour in a very comfortable van. I highly recommend this tour and especially Kerry.

The cruise was absolutely...

The cruise was absolutely perfect. The catamaran did not feel overcrowded at all. The crew was so thoughtful and friendly. It was a comfortable, down to earth experience. The food was a nice surprise- plenty of drinks and snacks. And of course, the sunset was spectacular! Thank you for a truly unforgettable experience!

Unique experience

This tour was well organized, and easy to partake. You check in and pick up gear at the shop, then meet at the boat launch. Use your own snorkel if you need RX. You only in the water for 30 minutes which is plenty as it can start to get chilly, but you’ll see plenty of manta rays! Tour guides were extremely helpful and informative.

A Journey Through Time and Space with the Amazing Kyla & Mr. Tay

Still dreaming about last night’s tour! Mauna Kea provided a once-in-a-lifetime sunset and the most unbelievably amazing stargazing I’ve ever seen. This was my first time ever looking through an actual telescope, and it was mind-blowing! We had two incredible guides (stars ⭐️) who truly made the night. Kyla (her Hawaiian name means 'Peacemaker'!) was so passionate while sharing the cultural stories and legends of the mountain - it added such a deep, welcome meaning to the experience. And Mr. Tay was funny as hell while teaching us the astronomy side of things! The mix of science, storytelling, and humor was the perfect combination. 10/10!

What a fantastic...

What a fantastic experience! The tour operators were very professional and they had us seeing manta rays within minutes of entering the water. We saw many, many manta rays in the time we were in the water. It was great having such a small group of people, I highly recommend this tour!

Great Experience!

This was the second time zipping with this company. The team was fantastic and a lot of fun! We were having a rough start to our morning, and the girl who checked us in actually radioed down to ask if our morning had gotten better! Which it definitely had!!! I highly recommend this company!

Canceled due to cloud cover

We so looked forward to flying over Volcano National Park via helicopter. But the cloud cover was low, blocking any view of Kikeaua. Plus tge mountsin was only steaming, with no visible lava flows. We were offered a different route, viewing the waterfalls to the north, but declined. We tgen drove thru the park, viewing the Kileaua Cauldron. On the day we departed the Big island, Kileaua erupted. If I get to return, I will indeed book a helicopter visit with Safari! Our refund came graciously and quickly.
