What are people saying about San Francisco

Tara was "tara-iffic"!
The VW-micro-bus brought back a ton of memories for me growing up as a kid riding in my uncle's VW bus in New Hampshire. The small format tour with only seven of us made it that much more real and engaging with the city and we learned a lot about the history of San Fran... Tara was an excellent guide; knowledgeable, funny, laid-back and flexible with time. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone vs. the other more traditional large bus type tours. Time and money well spent!

Great tour guide with lots of independent time throughout the day
This tour was great and just what we were looking for. It was only 14 people total on the tour, so it did not feel like a huge tour group. Our tour guide, Ben was very knowledgeable and shared some great facts about SF, Muir Woods, Sausalito, and the Bay Area. We drove over the Golden Gate Bridge and stopped at a viewpoint to take some pictures. We then drove to Muir Woods. We had almost 1.5hrs to explore and go through Muir Woods on our own. We then drove to Sausalito to walk around and grab a quick lunch. What I loved most about this tour is that it did not feel extremely “touristy”. It was nice having a tour guide to drive us around, but I loved being able to go on our own at each of the stops. It was the perfect day and a great way to do Muir Woods!

Highly recommended!
Our tour guide was amazing and we had ample time to take in the views and take pictures. He was very knowledgeable and it’s a great way to learn about the city hassle free. This way you know what areas you’d like to visit and to spend more time in specific areas.

Yosemite day trip
It’s a long day but a great way to see a lot of Yosemite without the stress of driving and finding a parking spot. Derek was a phenomenal host. His expertise and interesting stories were a perfect complement to the beauty of the park. Highy recommend him.

Great excursion
What a great experience! The crew were friendly, social and helpful! I loved seeing the wildlife and going under the Golden Gate bridge. It was great that they offered coats because even though I felt like I was dressed appropriately for the cold wind it was not enough. It was wonderful experience and I highly recommend it.

Awesome trip!
This trip was awesome. However, if I were doing it again I would do the 2 day one with an overnight. It was 4+ hours each way in a van, and only about 5 hours to see the highlights of Yosemite. I absolutely don't regret doing it, but I wish I had had more time. Sara, out driver and guide was awesome!

Absolutely recommend this tour
Very well organized schedule which allowed us to enjoy Yosemite to the maximum level. We had a bit of the main Yosemite's landmarks, had our free time, our time for meals and all the driven was taken care of. The guide, Dustin, was super attentive looking for every detail. This tour was definitely a good decision.

Sonoma/Napa wine tour
Incredible tour experience!!! Danilo our driver was phenomenal, he explained so much about the towns and throughly answered all questions. The three wineries were wonderful and the stop in Sonoma for lunch was beautiful! Perfect amount of time to spend at each winery. Great day trip!

Private Tour for Two
A quirk with the registration website meant we were the only two people signed up for the afternoon tour. Brian greeted us with his car - rather than the luxury van - truly a private tour.
Typically, we utilize the hop-on/hop-off tour bus services to familiarize ourselves with attractions in a new city.
By happy accident, we came across Brian’s website. His service is well worth the price of admission - his narrated (and interactive) tour is over and above that of the tour bus services. We were able to travel to locations inaccessible by bus.
Thank you, Brian - we tried a couple of your restaurant suggestions - you did not steer us wrong.

Great experience for a sunny, warm day
I got there a bit early so I was able to board first and get a standing spot at the bow of the boat. It wasn’t crowded and you can move freely around the boat but of course at the bow, people didn’t move too much but they are nice with creating space if you ask. The views were great. The boat barely goes on the west side of golden gate; it passes under so you get a quick view of the west side as it immediately turns around to head to Alcatraz. If you’re facing the bow, the best views are on the right side of the boat. And of course it’s windy but I went on a 70-75° day so I just needed to put on my scarf and the linen long sleeve shirt over my short sleeve was enough.

Wonderful time on Muir Woods/Sausalito Tour
Wonderful trip to Muir Woods and Sausalito with our bus driver/ tour guide, George. George was a delight as he shared information and stories about the areas we drove through on our way to and from both locations. We learned so much about San Francisco and the bay area. My 84-year old mother and I decided to take the ferry option back to San Francisco and loved that as well.

Go Car fun in San Fran
We were originally supposed to get the 3-wheeler, but it was very chilly that day. They let us have one of the enclosed golf-cart type cars instead. We had an absolute blast! I love the audio tour guide as we drove through the various areas. We could do our own thing or stick with the GPS route. Highly recommend!!

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Of all the San Francisco bus tours, the “love” tours that zip around the city from the Painted Ladies Victorian homes to the Twin Peaks viewpoint in Volkswagen vans might be the most fun. If these offbeat treks are a bit granola for you, other bus tours are convenient for exploring the city and surrounding areas in comfort. Hop-on hop-off bus tours offer ultimate flexibility and freedom, while guided coach tours travel to Muir Woods and even as far as Yosemite National Park and the Monterey and Carmel area.
