Hop on a '70s-era VW bus and get to know the hippie past and hipster vibe that make up San Francisco today. Starting and ending at Fisherman's Wharf, this sightseeing tour takes you around the city, including Chinatown, North Beach, the Castro, the Mission, downtown and more. See the homes of The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix, while listening to '60s classics. So settle into a neon-blue seat and dig your shoes into groovy shag carpet. Each bus accommodates up to just six people.

Make your own way to the meeting point in the center of San Francisco, hop aboard your VW bus, and get ready to leave your heart in San Francisco.
Start with a drive through Haight-Ashbury, past the former homes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and members of the Grateful Dead. Continue through Union Square and the Civic Center to the Golden Gate Bridge where you make a stop for photographs.
After maneuvering your way along the world's most crooked street, drive through the neighborhoods of Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy, and the Castro while your guide regales you with fascinating stories from their histories.
Make another photo stop in the colorful Mission District and learn about its Latin roots before heading past Gollden Gate Park on your way back to the pickup point where your tour ends.

- While not wheelchair accessible, that doesn’t stop us from helping out with folding a wheelchair and placing it in the back. So come and have fun!

My Uber ran late and I showed up 1 minute past our tour time. The van was gone. No text to me, so I couldn’t reach out to them. Ive requested a full refund…crickets….so disappointed.

We grew up in the Bay Area and still live close to SF. We just happened to see your love van a few years back. Though we did not take your tour at that time we met Tara She made quite a wonderful impression on us. Skip ahead to now, we decided to take our friends from Nevada to tour with you, in hopes we’d have Tara as our guide. Don’t you just love when a plan pulls together? Tara was at her finest. She is so knowledgeable about “the city”, a great driver and very funny indeed !!

It will be an incredible 2 hour journey to all the highlights in the city. Dave was knowledgeable and funny guide. The VW bus decked out in hippie style. We had so much fun and learned about the city at the same time. Every stop drew a crowd as people wanted picture. It was the highlight of our trip!

Approx two hours that covers many areas of San Francisco, most of them while seated in a comfortable, unique VW bus. Tara was a very knowledgable and funny local who has a heart for ALL the people of SF and isn’t afraid to say it or show it. We loved her! My favorite moment was driving down Lombard while listening to Tony Bennett sing “I left my heart in SF” Something about it was surprisingly moving to me. I’m so grateful we went on this tour!

We had an incredible experience on the San Francisco Love Tour! Our tour guide, Ky, was absolutely amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and unique stories behind each area we visited. He took his time answering questions and made sure everyone felt included throughout the tour.
One of the unexpected highlights was being paired with a wonderful couple from Australia, which made the experience even more enjoyable. By the end of the tour, all four of us were still talking about the fascinating facts, hidden gems, and local insights we had learned along the way.
If you’re visiting San Francisco and want a fun, informative, and memorable way to explore the city, I highly recommend the Love Tour. Ask for Ky if you can. You won’t be disappointed!
