Make your own way to the meeting point in the center of San Francisco, hop aboard your VW bus, and get ready to leave your heart in San Francisco.
Start with a drive through Haight-Ashbury, past the former homes of Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and members of the Grateful Dead. Continue through Union Square and the Civic Center to the Golden Gate Bridge where you make a stop for photographs.
After maneuvering your way along the world's most crooked street, drive through the neighborhoods of Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, North Beach, Little Italy, and the Castro while your guide regales you with fascinating stories from their histories.
Make another photo stop in the colorful Mission District and learn about its Latin roots before heading past Gollden Gate Park on your way back to the pickup point where your tour ends.

- While not wheelchair accessible, that doesn’t stop us from helping out with folding a wheelchair and placing it in the back. So come and have fun!

Tarah has a great sense of humor. You get facts and jokes!! It’s a fun ride around the city in a cool VW bus. Practice the peace sign, every one is pointing out the bus.

Our guide”Tara” was informative, knowledgeable and friendly. She was enjoyable with her silly jokes and interaction with us. We brought our own props of flowered head bands, round framed colored glasses and our peace sign necklace. It made the experience a lot of fun. We had so many compliments and interactions with the people on the streets. We laughed the whole 2 hours.

Ky was a great tour guide. He was informative and kept us interested with his stories and local knowledge. The kombi was great and a real eye turner. We learnt a lot and saw some beautiful architecture and landmarks.

Silas, was very knowledgeable and really gave us his time. He was funny and engaging. The bus is a little loud so if you’re hearing impaired like my husband sitting in the back of the bus could be challenging. I would maybe recommend a microphone or speaker in the rear of the bus. That’s the only negative. It was a cool little tour.

This is a great way to see San Francisco. Our driver Dave was great! He took us through the neighborhoods in a ‘hippie’ van of the 1970’s. Super stories and commentary of San Francisco then and now. Definitely enjoyed and highly recommend.

I cannot say enough good things about this Love Bus tour. Our tour guide was Cy and he was truly the best. He took his time with our group and stopped at so many places that was not even listed on this website. At each stop he would stop and help everyone take pictures and make sure we all got to see what we wanted to see. Additionally, he catered his tour around what people in the bus said they were interested in, ie: food, history, art, music, etc. This made it feel so much more personable and later we did take him up on his recommendations for food and he was spot on! You also kind of feel like a celebrity in the bus, especially while on Haight-Ashbury lots of tourists would stop and take pics of the love bus ha-ha. I cannot say enough good things about this tour, just book it already!
