Really fun biking experience! We explored spots both well-known and hidden from most tourists. We especially enjoyed the walk to Meiji Shrine, a delicious lunch at The Frontal, and riding through busy city streets that we never would have attempted without Gako’s guidance. The route was very well planned, and Gako was thoughtful on reminding us about safety. He also answered many of our questions about Japanese culture. Highly recommend.

Gaku, our guide, was excellent. He took us to many hidden gems in Tokyo that we were able to enjoy without big crowds. The tour moved at an excellent pace, we stopped for a wonderful bento box lunch at the bay, and we always felt very safe navigating through the streets and back roads of Tokyo. Gaku was awesome in answering any questions we had along the way. Highly recommend this tour as a fabulous way to experience Tokyo!

Best Bike Guide In Tokyo

Trudi_S, Feb 2026
Gahku was our subaraschi Guide! He is such a professional cyclist always calling out every Turn, „clear“ to be confident no one is coming. He did such a fantastic job. The Route is approximately 17 miles, however it felt more like 8 miles. He is very measured with the changing of the Traffic lights, you go right thru, the Temples, Shrines, backalleys, truly best bike tour in Tokyo. Arigato!

A great Tokyo introduction

Great tour. I lead bike and kayak trips back home, and so I know a good tour when I experience one! Gaki has selected a great route and sights. The riding is active but isn't too challenging - few hills, and lots of chances for stops, though cycling in Tokyo is very different than where I live due to the scarcity of bike lanes. I did this tour on my second day in Japan and it was a great introduction to Tokyo. Definitely recommended.

Amazing Bike Tour

This Tokyo city bike tour was absolutely outstanding and became one of the true highlights of the trip. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made every stop—from quiet backstreets to major landmarks—feel special and memorable. The pace was comfortable, the bikes were well maintained, and the small group size meant plenty of time for questions, photos, and local insights. It felt like discovering a side of Tokyo that most visitors never see, and it left a huge smile on my face the entire day.

Great way to get an overview of the city sites. Not an e bike, but if you participate in regular exercise, you will be fine. Total route ~ 20 miles with a final stop at the viewing tower to see everything you saw at ground level.

Our guide was superb. He was delightful company plus ensured all our safety in the heat. Trying to cover such a large city on foot is impossible, so I highly recommend a bike tour to cover lots of ground in a day.

Our tour guide Gaku curated a really nice tour of Tokyo, including popular tourist sites as well as hidden gems that only a local would know. I highly recommend spending the afternoon cycling with Gaku on this small group tour.

This was an absolute gem of a tour. Our tour guide Gaku was AMAZING. He took us to tourist free areas to see small, community temples which was an awesome experience. We had a picnic type lunch on the river and thoroughly enjoyed the company. This tour has a max capacity of 5-6 bikers so plenty of attention and ease of moving with the group. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

My favorite tour in Tokyo! Minimal athletic challenge - just follow Gaku's lead and you'll get through the more difficult traffic sections. You do need to know how to ride a multi-speed bike and be able to steer around pedestrians! You get to see the entire city - from small neighborhoods to bustling city commerce centers, you see the myriad of environments and people that traverse the city every day. You see tiny, mid size, and gigantic shrines. I went by myself but was lucky enough to join 3 others that were all very friendly. The tour guide was very nice and gave detailed explanations and answered all of our questions. I highly recommend this for anyone who likes to explore.

Tokyo bike ride in a day

Laureen_D, May 2025
Gaku, our local Japanese guide, took us on a fantastic ride through a 20-mile radius around Tokyo, stopping at key highlights like the Imperial Palace, several shrines, Tokyo Bay, and more. His deep knowledge of the area's history and culture added so much meaning to every stop. Gaku was incredibly genuine and friendly — it truly felt like spending the day with a good friend. He was great at showing us our route on the map and keeping us oriented throughout the tour. We especially appreciated how he always let us know how long each ride would take and what to expect before setting off again. A thoughtful, seamless, and memorable experience!

This was a lot of fun. Seeing the sites, learning some history and culture while getting exercise. Along with the major attractions, we saw things not advertised; a real view of city and neighborhoods. Gaku is a really informative, kind and attentive guide. He’s even a great photographer

Amazing way to get intimate with Tokyo

Fantastic Day Biking in Tokyo

Robyn_M, Feb 2025
Fabulous day navigating Tokyo with Gaku. Being a Saturday the parks were alive with locals, we watched a wedding at a temple & enjoyed lunch at the harbour. This is not a history tour of Tokyo, it’s more experiencing the city with Gaku and understanding his Tokyo through his lived experiences. You will still see a lot of significant sites. Tokyo’s road riding is somewhat more liberal than in Sydney but Gaku was in full control & we loved it. Tokyo drivers are more patient than Sydney 😂. Highly recommend.

Amazing Tokyo in a Day

Juan_R, Feb 2025
We had the most amazing day with our guide! We felt like we saw the entire city, and had the benefit of learning from a Tokyo native. He went above and beyond and even took us to an extra couple of stops when we made good time in our day. Also enjoyed an amazing sushi lunch we got to shop for in the grocery store, and a visit to the famous 7-11 for guidance on the best items to buy. Cannot recommend this tour highly enough - excellent!
