The Tokyo 4-hour private tour was great. Our guide, Andy Ando, was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the sites we visited. My husband is a slow walker, and she adjusted the pace accordingly. I highly recommend her as a guide. The driver took us to each site safely.
Our guide Nagahori provided a customised tour of Tokyo. We visited Senso-ji, the Imperial palace gardens , the Meiji shrine and other sights. Nagahori was the perfect guide and we had a wonderful day. For lunch we ate Ramen noodles for the first time and will definitely try them again. Nagahori’s knowledge of Tokyo and Japanese culture has enriched our understanding of Japan.
Wry well organized. Kazu listened to our interests and he was a complete professional. Very knowledgeable and moved the tour on
Wehad an incredible day with Toshi. We emailed ahead of time to plan our day. He made suggestions and we let him know what we wanted to see. He said timing might be tight, but we could try to see all we wanted to see. We never felt rushed. He was extremely knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you Toshi.

Have an idea where you’d like to go & what you’d like to see. Some sites aren’t open everyday and you should be aware.
Response from Host, Oct 2026
Thank you so much for sharing another great piece of advice and feedback!
It is such a helpful tip for future travelers to keep in mind that checking site operating schedules in advance is key to a smooth journey. Tailoring the day around what you want to see while accounting for venue opening days makes all the difference when exploring a city.
We really appreciate you continuing to pass along these thoughtful insights and tips from your travels!
***** Five stars for our guide Taka. Knowledgeable, friendly and great at capturing photos!! Extremely knowledgable of subway system. Be sure to indicate preferences from list of tour company options. The “default” plan keeps you underground 1/2 the time and walking down crowded, narrow streets the rest. Difficult to get perspective of city when underground. I recognize that it is hard to see such a large city in one day, but being underground was not “it” for us.
Response from Host, Oct 2026
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this glowing five-star review for **Taka**!
We are thrilled to hear how much you appreciated Taka’s deep knowledge, friendly approach, and excellent photo-taking skills—and especially his expertise in effortlessly navigating Tokyo’s intricate subway network!
We also want to extend a sincere thank-you for your constructive feedback regarding the default routing and underground travel. Tokyo’s vast subway system is fantastic for efficiency, but we completely agree that staying above ground offers a far richer perspective of the city’s vibrant neighborhoods and architecture. Your tip about communicating specific routing preferences upfront is invaluable, and we will use your insights to help fine-tune our suggested itineraries and ensure our guests get the best possible visual experience of the city.
We will pass along your high praise directly to Taka right away—he will be delighted to know how much he contributed to your time in Tokyo!
Thank you again for exploring with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another custom adventure on your next journey to Japan!

We are also delighted to know that **Robert** delivered another fantastic experience for you! Having a guide who keeps things engaging and well-paced makes all that walking completely worthwhile.
We will pass along your kind words and appreciation to Robert right away—he will be thrilled to hear your feedback!
