What are people saying about Tokyo

Great day out with my family hosted by Anthony!
This booking exceeded expectations and it had a great deal to do with the fantastic weather and our guide, Anthony. We let him pick the best stops and routes to take and which order. Since he's done it so often, we were able to beat a lot of the crowds in the most popular of spots and get some fantastic family photos. We were blessed with a clear day and saw Fuji from all sides. The extra cost to run around the lake in a boat was worth it as it provided a fantastic view of the mountain and was just fun altogether. Anthony was kind, knowledgeable, courteous and had a great attitude all day. He even gave us some restaurant suggestions. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day around Fuji and hopefully you get as lucky as we did with the clear day and exceptional host. Thanks Again Anthony!

Engaging
I was a solo traveler and this was one of the first activities I did when I arrived to Tokyo. The show was very informative, engaging, and accommodating. You could keep ordering food throughout the performance. And it was lengthy enough to where it felt you got your moneys worth. They also take a group picture at the end with a professional camera and with your phone, which meant a lot as a solo traveler because it’s more difficult to get my pictures taken. I highly recommend this experience!

Minimum time- maximum experience
Kate was a wonderful guide - even before we arrived in Tokyo. She thoughtfully and carefully crafted our tour to allow us to have the maximum experience with minimal time. She was very knowledgeable and ensured we learned as much as we experienced. We are also grateful for all her recommendations for after our tour. Thank you Kate!

Fun, informative and entertaining experience..
The two hosts were entertaining and encouraged audience participation. Both wrestlers George and Gucci were awesome. George was funny.. my family enjoyed it very much! We also got to take pictures with the wrestlers after the show. 💕 I highly recommend.

Mahir did a great job!
Mahir was awesome. He went above and beyond to make sure this was a great experience for me and my wife. The tour was awesome also. The flexibility Mahir offered us to move stops around or extend time make it so we could get the most out of our day. Highly recommend!!!

Great Time Even to Skeptical Husband
Actually, we had a really fun time at the Tokyo Ginza Sumo Experience! I should start by stating that it was just the two of us. We are in our very late 70s/mid 80s… so probably not your “normal” age range…unless you are with your family. Originally, my husband did NOT want to go at all, but I talked him into it. After it was over, he said that he was pleasantly surprised and not just “happy” that he had gone, but “really happy” that he had gone. Now for the show, in a very informative … yet fun way… the emcee explained the history of sumo, the meaning of certain wrestling positions (along with detailed displays of each position by the wrestlers), and the customs, rules, and techniques of the sport which included interaction from the crowd. This included throwing small pillows into the ring and trying to “out-cheer” your opposing team. There were two wrestlers, so there were two teams, and the cheering was quite loud, intense, and exciting. We all were pounding our tables, stomping our feet and yelling at the top of our lungs in support of OUR wrestler…yes, even us old folks…LOL At the end, spectators could volunteer to see if they could “out wrestle” the wrestlers. These “spectators/volunteers” came back on stage wearing “sumo fat suits” …sooo funny. And, of course, at this point, we were all cheering for the fat-suit spectator… (Secretly, I’m regretting that I didn’t give it a try.) Overall, this was a super great experience, and that is coming from somebody that never ever thought, for a New York minute, that I would even be considering going to watch fat men wrestling with their heinies hanging out….LOL Go!!! If my husband, who is super bah-humbug negative enjoyed it, it’s a no brainer. Worth the expense and our time. Now with that being said, once you get there, it's complicated to find. You have to go down steps to what we would classify as a shopping corridor. They are then located shortly on the left. Hope that helps. It was confusing to us old folks as we had decided to walk there from Ginza 6 (10 minute walk).

Tomomi is an excellent...
Tomomi is an excellent local guide who maneuvers around the interests of the guests and any needs that may arise. She and our driver Toshi who is an experienced driver navigated many hidden venues to capture a view of Mt. Fuji, a local sake brewery and an excellent local winery. Many thanks to them for an excellent day despite the rain.

A wonderful blend of sights and tastes
Eriko was an excellent tour guide who spoke English very well and explained the history of the market and offered insightful recommendations. The selection of tastings were all unique and flavorful, and the fish cutting demonstration was insightful. Thank you Eriko!

Great Performance! Some things for foreigners to know!
This was a great production put on by the performers. They were very energetic, enthusiastic, and highly expressive. This is a speechless production so I recommend reviewing the website for a short synopsis of what story is, especially if you aren't familiar with Japanese culture. The variety of acts and dances were enjoyable however I would like to help some guests set their expectations.
The theater is intimate and you get an hour before the show to take photos, meet some of the performers, and order drinks or food. Food and drink service stop just before the performance.
The performers use ALL available space in the theater which brings the show closer to the audience. If you have sensory issues, they offer headphones, ear plus, or sunglasses (there's a laser light show that ended up being really cool).
As I'm currently writing this, dubstep seems to be popular in Japan and has made it's way into some of this show so please be prepared. It's not a lot but it caught me off guard. It is a good balance been modern music with traditional dancing and touching plays.
I highly recommend this show if you're looking for something to do in Asakusa - just know more of what your getting into. It is a GREAT show.
Also bring some cash if you want to tip the performers at the end!

Must experience this show
The show was great for the price. The story line and the show was something I enjoyed. Reservation is recommended because it’s not a big theatre. No food is sold there just drinks. And at the end of the show we were able to take a group photo with the cast.

I wanted to take a moment...
I wanted to take a moment to express our sincere appreciation for the incredible service we received during our time in Tokyo, especially big thanks to Haider
From the moment we met him, haider impressed us with his professionalism, kindness, and warm personality. He truly went above and beyond to make our day special. He took us to many wonderful places, shared his deep knowledge about Japan, and stayed with us throughout the day, ensuring we were comfortable and enjoying every moment.
What stood out the most was not only his expertise but also his genuine care and enthusiasm. It is rare to meet someone so dedicated and passionate about what they do. He made our experience in Tokyo unforgettable, especially for us traveling with children.
He is a true asset to your company, and we feel very lucky to have had him as our guide and driver.
We will definitely recommend your company to others because of this amazing experience.
I wish we could have him more with us 🙏🏼

Great people, Great organizers, Great time
Great choice if you want to meet a lot of people and get drunk. The staff are very accommodating but also know how to have fun, so you know you're in good hands. Lots of alcohol involved, so you can trust that your glass will never be empty. I went with a friend and left with many more, so I wholeheartedly endorse this event if you want to have a fun night and expand your horizons!
