The Vatican museums,...

The Vatican museums, Sistene Chapel and St. Peter’s basilica are some of the must-see attractions for a first visit to Rome—and that is confirmed by the size of the crowds. There is no alternative but to shuffle along with the masses through the proscribed route. That being the case, this tour was well worth it to skip the line (which wound all around the perimeter) and for the excellent commentary from our guide, Fabiano. His detailed explanation (with visual aids) of the Sistene Chapel really enhanced the experience of viewing the real thing. They did a nice job with in a difficult environment. Our tour was at 10am and the Vatican was already very crowded. I would recommend booking the earliest tour slot you can to help minimize the crowds.

The Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum were the highlight to our stay in Rome. They are not joking about entry time on your ticket. Lines can get very long. Short lines took 30 minutes, long lines 2+ hours in the elements. The tour provider was completely virtual. They sent the tickets and a link to download an app that contained a map and the audio. I had expected to have a person to ask questions to, and interact with.

Incredible Experience

Walking the colosseum is a must! You get to see the structure from the inside out from many angles. Despite the cold weather, the tour was still great. Excellent tour - recommended

I would highly recommend this trip. It was a last minute booking and we had to accommodate some changes for a family member, but it was no trouble. The afternoon of our trip it was during a biblical amount of rain, but despite the weather, Serena made it engaging and very informative and was accommodating of my sons aged 11 and 8. She had so much knowledge and it really brought it alive, especially with the overlay of pictures that others have mentioned. I really recommend this tour.

A good tour

We had a fabulous tour guide Martina who was very easy going and knowledgeable. It was a great company to book through and we do recommend this to others. The tour itself we enjoyed but weren't overally blown away by it, even the sistine chapel surprisingly. Huge crowds also made the experience a little unpleasant unfortunately.

Erika is one of those rare guides who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable but also genuinely fun, engaging, and dynamic. Her depth of historical knowledge is impressive she clearly knows Rome inside and out but what truly sets her apart is how she brings the history to life. She doesn’t just recite facts; she tells stories, connects timelines effortlessly, and keeps everyone fully engaged from start to finish. The underground Domus portion was fascinating, and Erika explained the layers of Roman history with clarity, enthusiasm, and humor. She made complex historical details easy to understand and exciting, which is no small feat given how dense Roman history can be. At no point did the tour feel rushed or overly scripted it felt personal, interactive, and thoughtfully paced. Erika also created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to ask questions and stay involved throughout the tour. Her energy was infectious, and by the end, it felt less like a formal tour and more like exploring Rome with an incredibly knowledgeable friend.
