Helgi was a great host!

We really enjoyed this tour and definitely recommend it if you’re just in town for two or three nights, especially if you get Helgi as your tour guide. He was wonderful! You are in a passenger van with about 15 others. There are pick up stops all over downtown Reykjavík so regardless of the hotel/hostel you choose there is a close pick up spot. You are then taken to each of the Golden Circle highlights. You are given plenty of time at each stop and Helgi does a great job at giving you history, information and tips for each stop. Lastly, you stop at the Blue Lagoon to relax after your journey. We got back to Reykjavík around 8:30pm Tips: - Bring a rain jacket even if the weather is beautiful, like ours was that day! The waterfall is windy and lots of spray. You will get wet! - Bring a water bottle and snacks if you’re able. - If you get carsick easily, be sure to sit near the front.

Our family had a wonderful food tour with Agla. The food was very good and we visited 4 restaurants and one hot dog stand. We did not have time to wait for hot dogs and received a voucher instead. Agla provided detailed information on what we ate with historical and geographical context. In addition, we learned about key landmarks that we passed by. Agla is a university student and she charmed us at the restaurants with her observations of education and life in Iceland and abroad.

The tour was awesome. Awesome tour of the sights, comfortable bus but that’s not the story of this review. I arrived by cruise ship and it was the first day of the new immigration system. We wound up being delayed over two hours getting off the ship and were over an hour and 20 minutes being able to meet the tour. I called and they worked to wait and even came in the terminal to try and find us when we FINALLY got through. It was a complete team effort between drivers and their central dispatching system.. Truly it was not expected and they really made a great impression. Very accommodating and helpful. I’ll not book with anyone else on future excursions in Iceland. .

Lovely trip through dramatic countryside

It is definitely worthwhile! The excursion company made it easy for us by picking us up at transfer points which took us to the bus terminal. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a great deal about Iceland, its beautiful countryside, its customs and language. I would take another tour with them.

The Golden Circle - a must see with Sindri

It was an excellent variety of things to see. Even though it was a long day, it didn't feel like a long day. It gave a great sample of each place so that if we wanted to revisit any of the spots we knew where we would want to go back to on our own. The driver, Sindri was informative and entertaining and accommodating. We really enjoyed the day.

Do not miss the chance to visit the Sky Lagoon! I planned it for the last day in Iceland before heading home and it was perfect. I splurged and got us the individual rooms as well as the ritual package and it was phenomenal!!! Highly recommended. We stayed over 4hrs, absolutely stunning and relaxing at the same time!

An Absolute Must Do in Iceland!

This is a MUST DO! Ease of operation with transfers from a nearby bus stop and convenient return trip. Sky Lagoon is a picturesque slice of heaven that you have to experience. The lagoon overlooks the water surrounded by rock walls with a moss covered roof for the 7-step ritual. The sauna inside is the most beautiful one that I have ever seen. The staff direct you through each step of the ritual and then you return to the lagoon for a drink or more time to spend in the warm water. This was an absolute trip highlight and a truly amazing experience!

Easy meeting point...

Easy meeting point location, close to the concert hall with plenty of restaurants around if you want to eat before or after the tour. The boat was nice and had two indoor decks and two outdoor decks. They provide the best coveralls, so warm and waterproof (it was raining when we went) I was sad to take it off at the end! There is not much to eat on the boat so definitely eat before (we took the 1pm tour). There are alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks available. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the views were wonderful. We did see a whale close to the end when we were heading back. It’s definitely worth doing, any glimpse of a whale is amazing.
