We loved our 2 hr cruise on Loch Ness! Jamie our guide was fantastic. He chatted with us on the way back to the drop off spot and answered a bunch of questions. The cruise is pretty and enjoyable. We did not get off at the castle. Unfortunately, we did not see Nessy. Please note: We took a 20 minute bus ride from Inverness downtown on the Ember bus to get to the spot where the cruise takes off.

Absolutely Wonderful

Kieran our driver was absolutely amazing! Very knowledgeable and a wide ranges of storytelling and facts so something to intrigue everyone and engaging for all ages. At pick up he brought some carrots with him and put stopped us off to feed some coos which was an amazing highlight on a beautiful sunny day. The cruise portion was also fantastic and beautiful balance of knowledge stories as well as some nice quiet stretches to take in the view.

Susan Butcher was a wonderful private tour guide for Loch Ness, Cawdoor Castle, etc., leaving from Invergordon cruise terminal. She provided historical and cultural information while expertly driving us to the highlights and helping us avoid the big tour bus traffic and lines. She even convinced us to try Haggis in our next port (Edinburgh). We learned a lot about Scottish history and look forward to coming back.

This was our first visit to Scotland, and it was an unforgettable experience. Our small group departed on time, and Rab’s insights and candid commentary provided a superb introduction to the region, giving us a clear understanding of where we were going and what to expect along the way. Travelling alongside Loch Ness, we made our way to the stunning Eilean Donan Castle before continuing our journey through the breathtaking Isle of Skye. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the magical Fairy Pools, whose crystal-clear waters and dramatic scenery made for a truly memorable experience. Throughout the tour, the landscapes were spectacular, and Rab’s knowledge, humour, and storytelling brought Scotland’s history and culture to life. Amazing experience!

It was an amazing experience. The beauty is indescribable. This tour was the highlight of our trip! Martin, our Timberbush guide was so nice, extremely knowledgeable, and shared so much history about each sight we visited. He shared a lot of Scottish history and played some Scottish music for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was easy to see his genuine passion about his wonderful country. We had a great tour guide in Karen. From Inverness you are on a real time line. Karen made sure we had 15 mins spare to sort ourselves before the train left Fort William “FW”. Just a tip for future punters: from FW travel on the left or port side to enjoy full sight of the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Spectacular scenery, much photo opportunities, interesting Karen stories throughout. A very enjoyable day.

It's a very chill ride....

It's a very chill ride. Takes you through the beautiful Loch Ness with stunning views of Urquhart Castle (my favorite part). It's nothing fancy, but for the price it's worth it. There is an interesting history audio that plays for part of the trip. You can sit inside or outside on the boat.
