What are people saying about Reykjavik

A Good Tour and Guide
Luca gave us a terrific walking tour of Reykjavik. He provided a lot of information and was generous with his time - going over the 2 hour planned/offered time by several extra minutes. As a result of him pointing our several good restaurant options, we picked one based on that. The Sæta Svínið (sweet Pig) Gastropub.

Glacier Lagoon was amazing
This is a loooong bus ride, with 10 of the 14 hours in a small coach bus. The Diamond Beach and Glacier lagoon were awesome and made the ride worthwhile. There’s an optional boat tour of the lagoon that was not offered thru Viator, but the driver was able to get tickets in advance while in the bus, I would definitely recommend.

Amazing Golden Circle Experience!
The Golden Circle with Kerid Crater & Secret Lagoon was an amazing experience! Lili was a wonderful tour guide & Illya was a great driver. Lili gave us much background information on every attraction we visited. She also played music from local artists to introduce us to local Icelandic pop music. The weather wasn't what we had hoped for, as it was a rainy, windy & cold day for August. It was still well worth the money. The lake at the bottom of Kerid Crater was beautiful. The Secret Lagoon was really welcome. The really warm water was very welcome on a cold day! It was very relaxing & great for the joints. It is in a very natural setting. The view is very nice & there are a number of small geysers & bubbling hot springs around the outside of the main lagoon with a nice boardwalk for viewing them. Gullfoss Waterfall was powerful & extremely impressive! It was so windy when we were there. The wind almost blew me over when I was trying to shoot a video of it. Strokkur Geysir was a bit disappointing. It is supposed to shoot water 25-30 meters into the air & erupt about every 10 minutes. We waited close to 15 minutes, & it only shot water about 10 feet into the air for about 2 seconds, with no warning. I missed getting a picture or video as it happened without any noise to warn you it was coming, & was finished so quickly. That's Mother Nature for you. Hopefully, your luck will be better. I really this was a great tour, well worth the money. Highly recommended!

Must do in Reykjavík
This is brilliant. Book before you go as it sells out. You get a timed sticker for Volcano, so tour the excellent exhibition on the various levels while you wait. Volcano is amazing. You just need to experience it. Ice cave afterwards is real ice and very interesting. Then go to the planetarium for the Northern Lights which is also brilliant.
